Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
This weeks pokemon is Scizor! With Archaludon getting banned the tier is looking awfully empty on steel set up mons and maybe we can somehow fill that slot with a way cooler mon, being scizor! While being in Duu it boasts a great attack stat of a 130, and when paired with its ability Technician + Bullet punch it can do some serious damage. This all while being a steel type that isn't weak to ground or fighting and a bug type that isn't weak to flying or rock. I am very interested to see what you guys can come up with, GLHF everyone!
Here's my attempt at a Scizor team -- admittedly, this is more of a veil team with Scizor just hanging out, but sometimes it gets to do something and it's pretty fun when it does.
I fear ive been too busy to make a video and to put in a lot of effort into making a really good sciz team so instead I got something a bit more mediocre but never the less still a fun team imo
This weeks pokemon is Dragonite! This gen we got the classic Chien-pao, Dragonite and Glimmora core which was very strong especially in the early part of the generation, but it has slowely fallen out of use. This is fall in usage is partly because of archaludeon existing, but since thats gone now I think we will see a rise in populairity in regards to Dragonite and friends. Im curious what you guys come up with and glhf building!
I am quite sure everyone already made this team atleast once, but since im part of everyone I also made it. Here it is:
Might add a video to this later
Team I used for the first round of OSDT This is more an Orthworm team that Dragonite fits well on so it still functions without a Shed Tail or you feel like Orthworm can set up an Iron Defense Sweep
Here's it winning a game in round 1 (Dragonite does stuff)
This week was noticeably more difficult than last; Dragonite pairs really nicely with Chien-Pao, but they have a lot of overlapping weaknesses.
I've opted to go for a team composition that enables Dragonite to pick up kills in the mid-to-late game by chipping away at opponents with hazards while also providing multiple options to snowball a game if I can get a setup option going.
By no means the best team ever, but when it works it's quite fun!
Due to my poor memory I forgot to close the submission thing yesterday evening, my bad. Instead of extending the voting periode by an extra day im gonna keep it at sunday since most votes do get submited early on anyways.
Difficult choice between Trout and Malaow, both really cool teams! I love sciz and the big dawg but I also am a big milo fan, but ill go with Malaow3. Sciz already saw some love last week so ill give it to milo this week instead.
