Hello all and welcome to the SV NFE Sample Team thread! This thread's goal is to provide good and easy to use teams for players unfamiliar with the metagame. This is a community driven project, so all submissions are appreciated!

Posting Guidelines
  • We encourage you to add a description to your submissions. This makes it easier for newer people to the tier to understand how to use the team effectively.
  • Sample teams should be representative of the metagame. As such, teams with very niche Pokémon or sets have a low chance of becoming samples. Teams with unranked Pokémon should not be submitted.
  • If you ever have any questions or concerns about a team here, or if you are unsure about a team you are wanting to submit, feel free to reach out to me, sleid or anyone else on the council!

It's a core originally devised by Zcarlett during UMPL. I made a few edits to it to make it more offensive in nature. Unsure if Zcarlett wants her exact paste to be hidden or not but here's the replay it was used.

Here's my version of the team:

Seadra always outspeeds adamant Pignite; Hattrem always kills Koffing with psychic after rocks, rest in defense. Hattrem's EVs are less overall important but it helps to have spatk EVs to generally deal more damage with mfire against Tink as well as dkiss versus Krokorok and Scraggy.
I elected to put shadow ball on boots Drakloak since the team has limited ways of dealing with Dusclops, although Shadow Ball does certainly help with opposing Hattrem as well.
 
Forgot to post but wanted to put my hat in the ring. Made this in UMPL and I think it still holds up right now. Click the sprites for access.

Mostly an offensive VoltTurn core. Monferno and Thwackey both provide breaking power and complement each other nicely with U-turn and Knock Off. Monferno was Choice Band to ensure Close Combat vs. Quaxwell is a likely 2HKO (88.3% chance to). Thwackey provides healing with Grassy Terrain, sweeping capabilities with Grassy Glide, and nuking potential with Wood Hammer. EVs for Quaxwell was to outrun Pignite, and the EVs for Dusclops is to survive two Flare Blitzes after losing Eviolite. Dusclops also provides spinblocking support and an all-purpose general wall. Thief for Koffing is used over Will-O-Wisp in case its Eviolite is knocked away, and because of Koffing's excellent physical bulk, it's usually going to be the Knock Off absorber.

As well as steal opponent's item with its magician ability. Psychic is to hit fighting types mostly because of pignite however you can also use Agility over it if you really feel like it

Thwackey outspeeds 252 neutral nature base 60; Tinkatuff outspeeds Adamant Pilo; Quaxwell outspeeds Adamant Pignite. Scraggy, Thwackey, and Raboot all share similar checks, and break for each other very well. Even if it might seem like Koffing or Fletchinder are a rough matchup, they ultimately end up losing too much HP checking just one of the three, which allow the other two to capitalize in the endgame. The movesets of the main 3 are also rather customizeable to suit the user's preference/what they expect to see. Poison Jab Scraggy can be used to break open teams that rely on Clefairy as their main Scraggy check; Uturn over Wood Hammer can be used as a way of beating down Quilladin, which otherwise is a rather sturdy check to even SD Thwackey; and Gunk Shot Raboot hits both Fletchinder and Quaxwell.

it even has several wins over high-profile players including and limited to: Regiboob.

All these teams have full descriptions in the Bazaar. The first two are very solid and well-rounded with pretty standard sets. As for the third, I think Sun is valid enough as an archetype to warrant a sample team, and this is simply my take on it.

I'd also like to suggest this classic Slig-H team. I separate it because, as the team name suggests, it was very heavily based on a team Kingler brought in UMCL (same 6, just my own sets and stuff). If someone claims credit for being the original builder of this team I will of course back off.

Quax, Tink, Koff core is a pretty common squad atm that covers most important things in the metagame. Band Monferno pairs well with Trailblaze Pilo to chip down Seadra and Quaxwell enough for Trailblaze + High Horsepower to grab the KO. Physical Chu is a nice pick to surprise Sliggoo-Hisui and make it easier for the core to shine. It can also chip other annoyances to Pilo like Dunsparce, Thwackey, Eelektrik, etc. Fun team I used in NFELT

I realize how funny it is that the other team has Monf breaking for Pilo and this team has Pilo breaking for Monf lol. SD Monferno has become a force lately since it's not super easy to revenge kill and doesn't have a tough time finding the ability to SD. Clef, Quax, Sliggoo-H is a great core right now that covers each other's weaknesses well. I've like Clef in particular lately for its matchup into HO mons like Scraggy and Fraxure. Stunky is a nice touch to add some speed control and helps draw in Koffing, Dunsparce and Waters to get Knocked for Pilo or Monf

also, why are we dropping teams with no description. it helps new players understand the purpose of your team. please add them if you can :)
