EVs: 204 HP / 252 Atk / 52 Spe
- Grassy Glide

If Primarina terastilizes on the incoming Grassy Glide to minimalize damage, High Horspower will KO it on the next turn despite the Grassy Terrain healing. Since Rillaboom outspeeds Primarina, the soloist Pokemon is unable to fire off the 2 Moonblasts needed to KO Rilla.
If you want to have another Pokemon to use Primarina as possible set-up fodder, you can either switch out with Taunt into a counter or use Knock Off so Special Attackers have less trouble dealing with it.

Chansey is not detered by Primarina's Psychic Noise, as she can KO Primarina without the need of any healing.
Alternatively, you can Thunder Wave to cripple Primarina and can immediately use Soft-Boiled after the effects of Psychic Noise have ended.
Since with the last option there's no real way Primarina can KO you, you can safely set up rocks in front of its face.

Trick cripples Primarina by poisoning it while simultaneously bolstering Gholdengo by stealing Assault Vest to better tank Primarina's attacks. Always click Trick first, then, mash Hex. A natural resistance to Moonblast forces Primarina to use its (slightly) weaker STAB option. Tera Water is used to sponge up Surf in a pinch, even though Primarina cannot 2KO Gholdengo after its Assault Vest has been stolen regardless of whether the situation is Moonblast against Tera Water or Surf against its normal typing. I do not think that anyone could possibly predict a Tricked Toxic Orb with Tera Steel. Focus Blast is there to hit Primarina if it goes Tera Steel, and Tera Fighting is also an option if you want to maximize your odds of beating Primarina if it goes Tera Steel, though I do not reccomend it. Just hope you don't miss.

This technically counts as a counter if you simply read tera. Most of the time, opponents won't suspect power herb solar blade so it's definitely the safest click. Ceruledge has just enough EVs to switch in and eat a big surf before retaliating with a quick OHKO. Rest of the EVs go in speed to make you a plausible (bad) pokemon into other things.

Your bulk allows you to switch in and eat a moonblast, then eat a second and shell smash. White herb cancels out the defense drop, so after a BIG PAIN SPLIT from minimum 54 hp, Polteagiest deals the necessary chip to finish off Primarina with one of it's moves. Teapot gaming wins again.

Thank you all for your submissions, voting is now open!
This isn't actually a counter - it takes >50% switching in on Surf before it gets the AV, and needs to use a turn to Trick and take the AV / give the Toxic Orb before attacking so it technically 3HKOes Primarina while, even if Ghold chooses to Tera Water, it will still be 3HKOed by Primarina's attacks (Surf into resisted Surf, or resisted Surf into Moonblast). Going to accept this as a check though, let me know if you'd like to go with Val instead!

Your sets will be added to our Hall of Fame! We'll be trying to check one of the tier's many pseudo-legendaries next week, a devastating setup sweeper that only needs a single turn to spiral out of control. With one of the best signature moves in the game, can anything stand up to Clangorous Soul Kommo-o?

:sv/Kommo-o:

Naive Nature

- Flamethrower
- Drain Punch / Taunt
- Clangorous Soul

While Kommo-o's signature Clangorous Soul is already strong enough, Throat Spray allows Kommo-o to double its Special Attack in a single turn along with gaining an omniboost to its other stats. Tera Normal-boosted Boomburst adds further multipliers to its damage output with a 140BP STAB move, with Flamethrower as coverage to deal with Steel-types that may try to stifle its song. Drain Punch gives additional mixed coverage to take advantage of Clangorous Soul's boost to Attack and target Rock-types along with providing healing to synergise with its defensive boosts and loss of HP from setup, while Taunt can alternatively be used to stifle attempts at defensive counterplay. Is there anything that can silence a Throat Spray Kommo-o?

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor

Dragapult is a check. It's immune to both Boomburst and Drain Punch, and resists Flamethrower, giving it plenty of opportunities to switch in despite its low bulk. From there, it can threaten an OHKO with Draco Meteor pre-Tera, or a 2HKO post-Tera.

It's worth noting that while this Kommo-o's EV spread allows it to outspeed Dragapult after a Clangorous Soul boost, you can fix that with Thunder Wave. It's a bit harder to pull off against Taunt variants, but it's still worth keeping in mind.

Oh and here's one without Flash Fire. Chandelure may be screwed due to the +1 Sp. Def increase of Clangorous soulblaze on the switch-in.

Might as well check one sound based threat with another one. Note that Kommo-O does block Relic Song with Soundproof, but the idea still works regardless of this limitation. Meloetta can take any boosted attack Kommo-O tries to throw at it and 2HKO back with Psyshock (note other tempting sound based moves such as Perish Song and Alluring Voice get blocked, as well.) Tera Ghost blocks Boomburst and Drain Punch recovery. If Kommo-O Teras itself, Meloetta can KO back with Close Combat.

0 Atk Meloetta-Pirouette Close Combat vs. +1 0 HP / 0 Def Tera Normal Kommo-o: 176-210 (60.4 - 72.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
If you only switch Meloetta in after Kommo-o KO'ed your last Pokemon, doesn't that mean you can't have Pirouette Meloetta because of Soundproof blocking Relic Song?

Correct. I included both calculations in case Meloetta is in Pirouette form breaking something before Kommo-O switches in. In the worst case scenario of Clangerous Soul + Tera Normal + Throat Spray and Meloetta in Aria mode, Meloetta would have to use Tera Ghost to avoid Boomburst from breaking it. It's not a bad trade honestly, but Soundproof blocking Relic Song does hamper this strategy.

Immune to Boomburst, immune to drain punch, flamethrower does negative damage, immune to any boosts, reliable recovery, boots for hazards, and wisp + torch song to be threatening to Kommo-o's team.

Thank you all for your submissions this week! Voting is now open.
Great catch Lectrys! With Soundproof, Tera Normal, and Taunt, Skeledirge is actually completely walled and cannot handle Kommo-o without coverage.
