Otherwise, tera Fire to get out of your worst match-ups, namely against fire types, and prevent yourself from being burnt. However, this will open you up to ground types, so if your team can handle taking will-o-wisps elsewhere then use Tera Water instead for a better defensive typing.
The general idea is to use Choice Band to amplify the damage output of Decidueye-Hisui. Plain and simple.
Leaf Blade is the other STAB for extra coverage, while Knock Off is a useful utility. This generation Knock Off is also more important than the usual because not many pokemons have access to it anymore.
What makes this set worthy of being considered is the combination of STAB Triple Arrows + Scrappy, which is a good trait since you have basically no safe switch-ins since it even targets Ghosts. The -1 Def secondary effect is also really useful in a set that is focused on power. Also, the access to U-turn allows to scout for checks/counters with a lot more ease.
Decidueye-Hisui @ Leftovers
Ability: Scrappy
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 172 HP / 252 SpD / 84 Spe
Careful Nature
- Substitute

- Triple Arrows
If a `mon only ever needed one move, it's Decidueye-H, so why not go all in on that one move? Aims to Sub and set up on targets like Wo Chien, Krook, Bellibolt, Foretress, and others. 84 Spe creeps uninvested base 70s (Wo Chien, Bisharp) while the rest goes into Special bulk to improve longevity since BU shores up the physical side. Notably, even post-Tera, Kilowattrel will fail to break sub with Volt Switch. Tera Steel because it's a reliable defensive type that flips most of your weaknesses (Poison, Fairy, Flying, Psychic, Ice), but it does leave that Fire weakness and introduces nasty weaknesses to Ground and Fighting, so there are likely better options out there.

this set is also band, but this time it is hp decidueye. sucker punch covers the lack of speed, U turn is a good pivot move, triple arrows is the main stab and leaf blade/brave bird is utility. Regarding the meta, brave bird is very useful, while leaf blade is more mid. Still, leaf blade is a stab. Triple arrows is the goat move that is crush claw+iron head and fighting type.
Boom Bam Bam Bam......this is what the set is supposed to do. I was trying it out yesterday and it does ok-ish against defensive teams while naturally checking a few important mons with it's typing and natural bulk (hindered by a rash nature, so a spread of max spatk and max atk is also doable). Teams relying on wo-chien as their grass resist and mons like Mudsdale and Palossand as pseudo fighting checks/counter are just owned. Lol. It can even opt for Tera Ice Tera Blast to catch vern and other flyers the the amazing Dragalage (I swear it's great). It's really cool, idk what else I should say.
Have a great day

Meloetta is up for this week of the Next Best Thing ! Often overshadowed by the other Psychic types in the tier such as Gardevoir or Azelf, Meloetta has a hard time finding its place here. So let's figure out ways in which it could be interesting to use Meloetta over this guys. The pros are its amazing Special Attack paired with an excellent special bulk and a decent Speed. On the other hand, the con is its somewhat mediocre typing which can hold back the effects of these stats. Meloetta has a good movepool including moves such as U-Turn, Trick, Calm Mind (Swords Dance too...) or even Knock Off. Of course Meloetta can also use its Pirouette form with Relic Song and gain an impressive 128 Speed stat making it faster than Kilowattrel as well as a boost in its Attack stat making it as strong as Brute Bonnet for instance. This can also be an option for your sets even if this path doesn't seem that promising at first glance. As per usual your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to share your most creative Meloetta sets and explain them in order to contribute to the growth of the RU metagame.

Meloetta @ Assault Vest
Ability: Serene Grace
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Relic Song
- Knock Off
- Zen Headbutt / Ice Punch
- Drain Punch / Close Combat
Pros of Zen-Headbutt: 40% flinch chance, which can come in handy at times when you don't have the greatest match-ups (see replay #1); Also has stab pre-relic song if you really need to clutch out a KO and can't afford to relic song-up
Cons: Nothing to stop Altaria, who gets a free wisp
Pros of Ice Punch: Able to hit Altaria (although only for 74.5%), and has a 20% freeze chance; Good if you want to cheese opponents and disable mons almost entirely
Cons: Drain Punch does what this move does, and better; And is more unreliable than Zen Headbutt.
Choose whichever move you want between drain punch and CC, it's fine either way, trading off longevity for pure damage
Will this cause Zarel to post a single sad face on it's new suspect test thread again? Most likely not, but a guy can hope. But you can see what it does. Relic Song is essentially a set up move, as you don't really use it for damage, and it's used almost entirely for it's stat buffs. However every time you get it off, it does have that nasty 20% chance to inflict sleep, which can shut down walls entirely for a while and net you some free momentum. And since this set loves switching in and relic songing, that sleep chance will happen sooner or later. Drain Punch is your main stab, with knock off helping decimate the ghosts of this tier, along with other assorted stuff!
252 Atk Meloetta-Pirouette Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Brambleghast: 282-332 (112.3 - 132.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Meloetta-Pirouette Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mismagius: 316-372 (121 - 142.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Meloetta-Pirouette Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Typhlosion-Hisui: 258-304 (89.8 - 105.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Meloetta-Pirouette Drain Punch vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Tablets of Ruin Wo-Chien: 182-216 (48.6 - 57.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery and Leech Seed recovery (which is better than most physical attackers tbh)
-1 252 Atk Tera Fighting Meloetta-Pirouette Drain Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Krookodile: 260-308 (78.5 - 93%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Meloetta-Pirouette Ice Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kilowattrel: 246-290 (87.5 - 103.2%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Meloetta Zen Headbutt vs. 252 HP / 132+ Def Decidueye-Hisui: 174-206 (45.7 - 54.2%) -- 51.6% chance to 2HKO
With an effective speed stat of 390(for reference kilo is 383) and an attack stat of 355, you quickly become a very threatening presence on the field, and have a good match-up into most of the tier, and thanks to the Assault Vest you can stick around much longer than you normally could! In fact, you can tank special hits very very well pre-relic song. With AV you got a spD stat of 438, letting you tank the following:
252 SpA Tera Fire Typhlosion-Hisui Eruption (150 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Meloetta: 166-196 (48.5 - 57.3%) -- 94.1% chance to 2HKO
252 SpA Gardevoir Moonblast vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Meloetta: 82-97 (23.9 - 28.3%) -- 95.1% chance to 4HKO
252+ SpA Armarouge Armor Cannon vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Meloetta: 114-135 (33.3 - 39.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
Overall, this mon is a scary late-game cleaner, a solid win-con, and a great progress-maker
The first question looking at this set should be, why use this over azelf? Azelf is blazing fast, has levitate, hits harder (physically), has the more consistent Flamethrower, etc.. Well the answer is simple, Meloetta's bulk far eclipses Azelf's and Meloetta has an incredible ghost immunity. It's quite simple to play with and very annoying to play against. It comes in, Knocks your checks and U-turns out. It's quite consistent game in and game out. Heavy-Duty Boots are great as it allows Meloetta to pivot easily even if your side of the field is littered with spikes. Colbur Berry on the other hand can allow it to sponge one Knock Off and works greatly alongside Focus Miss. Shadow Ball or Focus Blast mostly depends on your team and what you actually wanna hit.
Tera Fairy is great, since fairy is a great defensive typing. Other Teras like Ghost/Dragon are usable but one come close to Fairy imo. This is all for now.
b4 I go.....
252 SpA Gardevoir Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Meloetta: 123-145 (36 - 42.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
8 SpA Rotom-Heat Overheat vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Meloetta: 118-141 (34.6 - 41.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Noivern Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Meloetta: 141-166 (41.3 - 48.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
124+ SpA Adaptability Dragalge Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Meloetta: 182-216 (53.3 - 63.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Pawmot Double Shock vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Meloetta: 223-264 (65.3 - 77.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Well it's time to use everyone's favourite normal 150 BP move with a secondary effect that makes it unviable
That's right
gIgA iMpACt (it just felt better with pirouette form)
Giga Impact Meloetta
skibdi bop mm dada (Meloetta) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Serene Grace
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Relic Song
- Giga Impact
- Knock Off
- Close Combat
ight, normal meloetta isn't all that fast, so it can't nuke things that are faster than it. However thanks to it's special bulk + AV it can switch in on special mons so it can switch forms pretty easily. Knock off is for ghost coverage, CC is for fighting stab and giga impact + tera normal is very powerful.
Like last week, please tell me if I should mention some more stuff, Rarelyme, and I hope y'all enjoy the set
