Ubers UU Role Compendium
Only Pokemon currently ranked on the Viability Rankings will be listed here (with a few exceptions for when the VR is majorly lagging behind). Pokemon will be loosely ordered in their roles.
Base Arceus :Arceus: implies every ranked form of Arceus can viably fill the role, otherwise, the corresponding plate will follow Arceus's sprite. Likewise, the Urshifu sprite without a special indicator implies that both forms can viably fill the roll, otherwise an indicator will follow Urshifu's sprite.

A "|" indicates that anything to the right of it is either niche at performing that specific role, or is holistically a niche option in the meta (C+ rank or below on the VR). This guide is meant to serve as a list of what moves/roles a given Pokemon can fulfill within a team, but good teambuilding will often require a fuller comprehension of the metagame.

Mixed: :lugia: :garganacl::arceus-dark: (:dread-plate:) | :mandibuzz: :alomomola: :solgaleo::toxapex: :corviknight:(:arceus:)*
*Any Arceus *can* run more mixed defensive sets in theory, but generally refer to the above to get an idea of which forms are more effective at what.

Unaware: :clodsire: | :clefable: :quagsire:*
*It should be noted that Quagsire's typing allows it to sometimes check special threats depending on their coverage.

Could there be a label for each arceus form? I can't for the life of me understand what arceus form is in the sand abuser category

(I assume it's rock but its sprite isn't doing any favors to its readability)

Kommo-o for mixed, sometimes it runs drain punch but i get that its not very relevant. Weird oversight considering its in special though.

The compendium has been updated to reflect the VR that went up at the time of writing this post! Alongside purely shifting around mons according to changes on the VR, I also made quite a few organizational changes for clarity's sake. I'm quite tired so it's plausible that there may have been something I missed, so just let me know if you see something that needs to be fixed.

Updated to account for regieleki, tina, grimm, and pagos leaving, as well as other VR shifts (stuff like Dnite rising, prim and other mons going UR, etc)
Screenshot 2025-10-17 at 15.46.41.png

Am still very willing to continue updating this resource as the tier progresses but I understand if leadership would like to transfer ownership to someone else.

Futher updated to account for some errors, and for notable meta trends seen thus far in UMPL/UMFL that were missing (eg, a noable rise in Pecharunt, Great Tusk, Clodsire, etc). Role compendium is now loosely ordered based on viablity, meaning most Arceus forms were seperated out in many categories to add clarity. Other organizational changes were made to improve clarity, notably in the status section.
