Expert Belt Flame Charge Typhlosion
:Typhlosion: :Hattrem: :Avalugg-Hisui: :Dudunsparce: :Qwilfish: :Jolteon:
One of Typhlosion's niche over Charizard is that it doesn't have to run HDBs, and can run with either Specs or Scarf. It's also able to threaten Cramorant with a 4X super effective Wild Charge. So I decided to go with an Expert Belt set, allowing you to bluff either choice item, and switch moves when they switch into their checks. Expert belt allows Typhlosion to OHKO Cramorant, turns some 3hkos into 2hkos on mons like Lanturn and Regirock. Flame Charge improves your match up against offenses, and if they have a mon that's low you can pick that off and have the speed you'd have if you were scarf. Could also go with Focus Blast over Flame Charge to hit Porygon2 hard, also better odds vs Regirock but I really dislike missing.
0- Atk Expert Belt Typhlosion Wild Charge vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Cramorant: 389-461 (113.4 - 134.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Expert Belt Typhlosion Scorching Sands vs. 252 HP / 240 SpD Regirock: 130-154 (35.7 - 42.3%) -- 89.2% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Expert Belt Tera Ground Typhlosion Scorching Sands vs. 252 HP / 240 SpD Regirock: 194-230 (53.2 - 63.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
(CBA to do the maths but I think this is a 50ish% chance to kill after rocks)

252 SpA Expert Belt Typhlosion Scorching Sands vs. 0 HP / 252+ SpD Lanturn: 139-166 (35.5 - 42.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Expert Belt Tera Ground Typhlosion Scorching Sands vs. 0 HP / 252+ SpD Lanturn: 209-247 (53.4 - 63.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
(Sameish odds as regirock to kill after rocks)
Since I was running non-boots, I wanted some extra hazard control, so I went with Hattrem, which can annoy a lot of the rockers in the tier, spread paralysis, and provide HW support if Typhlosion gets chipped down. Avalugg-hisui for some spin support, also checks alot of physical attackers. Spdef dudun for rocks, checks a lot of special attackers. Also more paralysis to spread around which is always nice. Next scarf Qwilfish for some speed control alongside spikes, and a check to Floatzel. Lastly Jolteon to soften teams for Typhlosion to clean up easier, while also giving a volt immunity.

I haven't played a game of ZU in months and randomly threw this together with no prior knowledge of this competition but was told to post it here anyway.
:charizard::typhlosion::qwilfish::virizion::rotom::sneasel:
Just double fire starter HO. Qwilfish checks threats like Floatzel and sets up hazards. Virizion completes the Fire/Water/Grass core and is meant to absorb Knock Off cuz the team has no hazard removal. Acidentally ended up with 3 physical setup mons, so Virizion could be changed to CM.Went Rotom over Jolteon because the team was getting too generic so I could have somewhat of a spinblocker. Sneasel is there for priority/Knock Off.

Typhlosion HO
:brute-bonnet::lycanroc::mismagius::primeape::qwilfish::typhlosion:

Pretty standard HO but with a bulky Primeape functioning as the Fighting-type over other stalwarts like Hisuian Decidueye, since it's fairly bulky and can be quite annoying to break through for balance. Went with Lycanroc over Hisuian Avalugg as the lead for Taunt, which means Typhlosion is a bit more susceptible to hazards potentially but you just click the funny button and still melt everything late.

Vikavolt, braviary, and typhlosion are kind of the core engine I have going for this team. Vikavolt is a reliable progress maker either getting up webs or wearing stuff down. Braviary is a great defiant abuser and cleaner, and typhlosion nukes most of its non checks (went blaze for the pory2 mu). Avalugg-h is a more offensive rapid spinner with some longevity to boot, abusing sturdy to trade it against powerhouses is great. Golduck is a nice choice on an offense team like this, hpump kind of forces out a select few special walls that dont appreaciate +2 lorb hpump/psyshock, and encore helps to a degree against slower setup mons. Scarf magneton is a pivot/revenge killer that appreactiates the breaking power that the other special attackers have on this team.
Notes: Teras, evs, abilities, and moves could probably be tweaked a bit.

This little fish might look innocuous, but it's actually a top tier choice in the ZU tier, with both its defensive Spikes sets and its offensive Swords Dance sets being top meta picks, and other sets like Scarf also being viable choices.
Build a team featuring Qwilfish and post it in this thread with a brief description.
Deadline is Friday 13th at 10pm GMT+1.
Have fun!

I wanted to do something stupid and silly with my Qwilfish this week, and I learned it gets scale shot so...

Qwil HO (i think): :Qwilfish: :Abomasnow: :frosmoth: :rotom-fan: :Passimian: :farigiraf:

The goal for this team is to lead Abomasnow, get veil up, and set up the Qwil and Moth. Qwil's STABs are very useful, and tera dragon adds some nice resistances if you aren't tera-ing Frosmoth. The Moth is very good because of its unresisted offense with tera ground, and, more often than not, will make or break a game. Rotom-fan was because I wanted an electric type that was good into Tera Ground Zard (my air balloon kept getting popped so i went boots), and offensive flying STAB proved itself useful. Pass is here as a cleaner if it hits its gunk shots. Finally, I added OTR Farigiraf, who can improve the matchup versus faster mons that can break through everything else. Team is def a little weak to fire-types, especially when you play as middingly as me.

Scarf Magneton + SD Qwilfish Bulky Offense
:decidueye-hisui::glastrier::magneton::mesprit::qwilfish::regirock:

I think the duo of Magneton and Qwilfish are incredibly dynamic, although this core doesn't quite optimize their VoltTurn potential because I wanted my Qwilfish to be more of a cleaner/breaker than pivot. I have been loving the Healing Wish Mesprit + IronPress Regirock defensive core lately, as they compliment each other really well. Support Hisuian Decidueye is a good option here, with enough Speed for uninvested Orthworm so you can Triple Arrows your way through it if needed. Glastrier is something I haven't used much lately but with Healing Wish support it can potentially come in and wreak havoc twice in one game, opening up its teammates for lots of trouble making.

Grassy Terrain Hazard Stack
:Qwilfish: :Mesprit: :Thwackey: :Primeape: :oricorio-sensu: :Jolteon:

I got bored of SD Qwilfish so I went a different direction. Mesprit and Qwilfish form the defensive core, alongside setting up hazards to allow the remaining mons to clean up. Thwackey sets up Grassy Terrain, enabling Primeape and Oricorio to win by activating grassy seed or giving passive recovery. Team initially had Medicham > Jolteon, but I switched it for an electric immunity and some speed allowing Mesprit to run Knock off>twave and remove boots. Jolteon also appreciates the gterrain healing with Substitue and Calm Mind.
