[OVERVIEW]

Syclant has good mixed offensive stats, a good movepool, and a fantastic Speed stat that lets it outpace most Pokemon in the metagame like Mega Crucibelle and Speed tie with Tornadus-T which allows it to be either a special setup sweeper or a physical attacker. Its Ice / Bug typing works great offensively, allowing it to hit huge threats in the tier such as Mega Latios and Landorus-T with its super effective STAB attacks. Syclant also makes great use of its Ground-type coverage attacks to lure in and KO Pokemon that resist its dual STAB moves, such as Heatran, Mega Crucibelle, and Toxapex. U-turn goes nicely with Syclant's high Speed, as it is able to pressure most of its switch-ins while gaining momentum for the team. Its unique ability Mountaineer gives it a useful Stealth Rock immunity, whereas access to the priority move Ice Shard allows its Choice Band set to take care of weakened or frail sweepers like Shell Smash Necturna. It has access to Spikes, which can be put down to pressure Pokemon and limit how many times they can switch, and has a setup option in Tail Glow, which allows it to sweep. However, Syclant has thin defenses that leave it vulnerable to priority moves from Mega Scizor and Mega Mawile, and it cannot switch well into most attacks. It also has a poor defensive typing that leaves it with many crippling weaknesses to Pokemon like Tornadus-T, Celesteela, and Choice Scarf Jumbao. Furthermore, Syclant can easily be revenge killed by faster Pokemon like Greninja, Tapu Koko, Mega Alakazam, and Choice Scarf users like Kitsunoh and Volkraken. Syclant has a hard time against Arghonaut, as it can take any of Syclant's attacks and wall it. It also faces competition from Greninja due to its higher Speed, wider movepool, and ability Protean.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Syclant's Earthquake enables it to hit Poison- and Fire-types like Toxapex and Heatran super effectively. Ice Shard is mainly used to OHKO boosted Shell Smash Necturna, as well as to hit weakened Pokemon late-game that are in range of its Ice Shard. Superpower can be run over Earthquake to allow Syclant to hit Chansey and maintain coverage for Heatran, but this leaves Syclant walled by Toxapex.

Set Details
========

Choice Band allows Syclant to maximize U-turn's damage as it pivots out and allows it to OHKO a boosted Necturna with Ice Shard. A Jolly nature is key for outspeeding Pokemon like Mega Latias and Mega Crucibelle. Mountaineer is the preferred ability to prevent Syclant from taking Stealth Rock damage.

Usage Tips
========

Use U-turn early-game if Syclant cannot take care of the Pokemon in front of it to see what the opponent's answer to Syclant is. U-turn is its main way of getting damage off and gaining momentum for the team that Pokemon from Syclant threatens like Colossoil and Mega Latios. It also should use U-turn on Arghonaut to get in a Pokemon that threatens it to prevent Arghonaut from setting up Spikes. Try to get Syclant in on a predicted switch, a Pokemon fainting, or from a pivot Pokemon like Krilowatt or Tornadus-T because Syclant cannot take attacks well. However, Syclant can switch into weaker attacks like specially defensive Pajantom's Spirit Shackle in a pinch. Use Earthquake on a predicted switch to Heatran or Toxapex. Make sure that there are no Spikes on the field, as these will slowly wear down Syclant. Taking care of priority move users like Mega Mawile and Colossoil should be prioritized because they can severely weaken or KO Syclant due to its poor defenses.

Team Options
========

Teams that want a Choice Scarf user that does not outspeed Necturna, such as Mangezone, like Choice Band Syclant for its ability to cover it. Entry hazards from Ferrothorn and Clefable are nice because they allow Syclant to further pressure switch-ins and limit how many times a foe can switch. Ash-Greninja appreciates the pressure Syclant places on Jumbao, Tangrowth, and Toxapex. Fire-types like Volkraken and Heatran help with troubling Steel-types like Celesteela and Ferrothorn. Psychic-type wallbreakers like Mega Alakazam, Tapu Lele, and Mega Medicham appreciate Syclant's ability to force switches and bring them in with U-turn. Mega Alakazam and Tapu Lele also appreciate the fact that Syclant forces damage on Steel-type checks. U-turn and Volt Switch users like Mega Crucibelle, Tornadus-T, and Krilowatt can help get Syclant in safely and form a powerful offensive core with it. These three Pokemon can take care of Pokemon that Syclant struggles with like Tapu Koko and Celesteela. Spinners and Defoggers like Tomohawk and Tornadus-T are also good to pair with Syclant to get rid of Spikes for it.

Moves
========

Syclant can take care of Fire- and Poison-types like Heatran and Toxapex with Earthquake. Earth Power can be used over Earthquake to get KOs that Earthquake cannot, such as against Naviathan and Mega Mawile.

Set Details
========

A Naive nature allows Syclant to outpace Pokemon such as Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle. Life Orb is Syclant's main item of choice to further its damage output in order to 2HKO Toxapex and Assault Vest Magearna with Earthquake and OHKO Mega Crucibelle with Earth Power. Focus Sash can be used to guarantee one layer of Spikes or to stop a boosted sweeper like Hawlucha.

Usage Tips
========

Try not to directly switch in Syclant unless it is into Mega Crucibelle's Head Smash or a weaker attack like a specially defensive Pajantom's Spirit Shackle, as it is very frail. Instead, allow Syclant to come in either by a pivot Pokemon, on a predicted switch, or from a Pokemon fainting. Syclant can set up Spikes on a predicted switch because it pressures Pokemon like Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle or when its Focus Sash is not needed to provide an emergency stop to setup sweepers like Hawlucha, Cawmodore, and a weakened Aurumoth. However, Syclant must be wary of Arghonaut, as if Syclant does not U-turn on it switching in, Arghonaut will get a free turn to recover or set its own Spikes. Use U-turn to allow Syclant to pivot out of Arghonaut as well as early-game to gain momentum and see what the opponent's check to Syclant is. Try to knock out priority users, as Syclant's poor defenses will leave it heavily damaged or KOed from the likes of Sucker Punch from Mega Mawile and Bullet Punch from Mega Scizor. It must also be wary of using U-turn when there is a Ferrothorn on the opposing team, as recoil from Life Orb and Iron Barbs wears down Syclant and breaks Focus Sash if Syclant is not running Life Orb.

Team Options
========

Slower pivots like Landorus-T and Mega Scizor are good to pair with this Pokemon because of their slow U-turn, which allows Syclant to avoid getting damaged. Magnezone is also good for its Volt Switch, but it can also trap annoying Steel-types that Syclant struggles with like Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn. Mega Crucibelle is also a nice fast pivot Pokemon to pair with Syclant, as Mega Crucibelle can set Stealth Rock to pressure Pokemon into switching in. Stealth Rock users in general like Ferrothorn, Tomohawk, and Clefable are nice to pair with Syclant, as the chip damage pressures and limits switch-ins. Psychic-types like Tapu Lele, Mega Medicham, and Mega Alakazam can help with Ferrothorn and Celesteela, and both appreciate Syclant thanks to its U-turn and Spikes. Fire-types like Volkraken and Heatran help with Pokemon that Syclant cannot touch well like Celesteela and Mega Scizor. Electric-types like Krilowatt and Tapu Koko can form a VoltTurn core with Syclant and appreciate Spikes support.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Earth Power hits mostly all Pokemon that would survive a +3 Ice Beam, such as Magearna, Heatran, and Toxapex. U-turn allows Syclant to pivot out from Syclant's checks to get in a Pokemon that can pressure the foe and bluff Syclant's other sets.

Set Details
========

A Timid nature ensures that Syclant is able to outpace Pokemon like Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle, and the Attack drop is insignificant because U-turn's damage is less important. Focus Sash makes sure that Syclant can get a guaranteed Tail Glow boost or prevents its sweep from ending. It also can be used as a safety net against setup sweepers if Syclant cannot find a chance to boost. Icium Z can be run to use Subzero Slammer as a one-time nuke to OHKO Pokemon like Celesteela and Ferrothorn at +3. Groundium Z can be used to OHKO Pokemon that Syclant usually cannot, taking out Assault Vest Magearna at +3 and Krilowatt unboosted with Tectonic Rage.

Usage Tips
========

To preserve Syclant's Focus Sash sweeping later in the game, refrain from switching it directly into an attack. The best way to bring it is from a slow pivot like Landorus-T or Mega Scizor, on a predicted switch, or from a Pokemon fainting. Make sure Spikes and Toxic Spikes are off the field before Syclant comes in so that it can preserve its Focus Sash to set up. Syclant does not take Mega Scizor's priority attacks well and gets walled by Arghonaut, so it is best to use U-turn if they are predicted to switch in and get a teammate to take care of these Pokemon before setting up with Tail Glow and sweeping. If Syclant cannot set up because of many threats, it is best to use it to threaten Pokemon like Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle. It can be used late-game to sweep after one Tail Glow boost, but for Focus Sash variants make sure that all but one faster threat and bulky Pokemon that check Syclant are gone. If Syclant is running a Z-Move, make sure that all faster threats and bulky checks are taken care of before attempting to sweep.

Team Options
========

Pivots like Landorus-T, Tornadus-T, and Mega Scizor allow Syclant to come in safely thanks to their U-turn. Magnezone is also useful as a pivot thanks to Volt Switch, as well as for trapping troublesome Steel-types like Mega Scizor, Ferrothorn, and Celesteela. Electric-types like Tapu Koko and Krilowatt can form a VoltTurn core with Syclant to take care of each other's threats. Psychic-types like Mega Medicham, Tapu Lele, and Mega Alakazam can break down Steel-type Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Celesteela in order for Syclant to sweep. Offensive Pokemon like Ash-Greninja and Mega Crucibelle are good to pair with Syclant, as both appreciate its U-turn support, and Ash-Greninja can also set Spikes for Syclant so that it can pressure switch-ins even further. Spinners and Defoggers like Tomohawk, Tornadus-T, and Landorus-T can keep Spikes off the field, which Syclant appreciates.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Taunt can be used to stop Spikes users like Arghonaut or setup sweepers like Gyarados. However, this means Syclant has to drop its Ground-type coverage and can no longer take care of Fire-types like Heatran. Stone Edge can be used to hit Pokemon like Kyurem-B and Mega Charizard Y; however, this again means that Syclant has to drop Earth Power or Earthquake, which makes it miss out on hitting Pokemon like Heatran, Toxapex, Magnezone, and Kitsunoh.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Arghonaut**: Arghonaut walls Syclant completely and ignores its Tail Glow boost thanks to its ability Unaware. If Syclant does not use U-turn against Arghonaut, Arghonaut will set its own Spikes.

**Faster Pokemon**: Faster Pokemon like Greninja, Tapu Koko, Mega Alakazam, and Weavile and Choice Scarf Pokemon like Kitsunoh, Volkraken, Tapu Lele and Jumbao outpace Syclant and can take care of it with their STAB moves.

**Priority**: Priority moves and abilities like Drain Punch from Triage Revenankh, Sucker Punch from Mega Mawile or Colossoil, and Bullet Punch from Mega Scizor can take care of Syclant after a bit of prior damage due to its frail defenses.

**Bulky Attackers**: Bulky attackers like Kyurem-B, Gyarados, Suicune, Snaelstrom, and Mega Swampert can take any attack from Syclant and set up or retaliate.

**Steel-types**: Steel-type Pokemon like Celesteela, Mega Scizor, and Ferrothorn easily wall Focus Sash Syclant and can easily take care of it with their Steel-type attacks. However, Celesteela and Ferrothorn don’t like taking Life Orb or Choice Band Syclant's Ice-type moves due to taking neutral damage from them. Assault Vest Magearna can easily tank Earth Power and OHKO Syclant, but it is threatened immensely by Earthquake.

**Fire-types**: Due to its 4x weakness to Fire-type attacks and inability to use STAB moves to deal with Fire-types, Syclant finds itself checked and revenged killed rather easily while Choice-locked. This creates mind games when Syclant decides on using an Ice-type attack or not in a match. An example of a Fire-type that stops Syclant from freely using these attacks is Volcarona, as it can easily switch into Syclant and start setting up.

**Chansey**: Chansey can wall Syclant's Focus Sash and Life Orb variants; however, Chansey has a harder time against Choice Band and Tail Glow variants of Syclant.

I think this is ready for QC, always nervous when it's my first analysis in another tier, hope this is good enough.

Alright, here's an AM Check. It's the first time I've done something like this, so please excuse any mistakes.

ADD REMOVE [COMMENT]

[OVERVIEW]

* Syclant has a good mixed offensive stats, a good movepool and a fantastic Speed stat that outpaces most Pokemon in the metagame except Choice Scarf Pokemon, Greninja, and Tapu Koko.
* Its unique ability Mountaineer furthers helps it as this allows it to have a Stealth Rock immunity that otherwise would have given it a Stealth Rock weakness.
[Add a point here about U-Turn, which combines nicely with Mountaineer and can be used to wear down most of Syclant switch ins while gaining momentum]
* Furthermore, it has good coverage moves like Earthquake, Superpower, and Stone Edge and with it STAB moves, it allows Syclant to take care of many Pokemon in the metagame like Heatran, Chansey, and Zapdos.
* However, it has a poor defensive typing that leaves it a crippling weakness to fire moves from the like Choice Scarf Jumbao, Volkraken, and Mega Charizard Y.
* Syclant has a hard time against bulky Water-types like Arghonaut and Suicune Toxapex [Toxapex is much more common than Suicune] because they can take any of Syclant's attacks and can easily wall it.
* Due to its thin defenses, priority moves can easily take care of Syclant from Pokemon such as Greninja, Mega Mawile, and Mega Scizor. [Remove Greninja because its already faster, so it should never use Water Shuriken against Syclant. Additionally, talk about Syclant being revenge killed by faster mons, like the aforementioned Greninja, Tapu Koko, Mega Alakazam, and common scarfers, like Kitsunoh and Volkraken]

[Also, I think you should add a point about Syclant having a hard time distinguishing itself from Greninja, which possesses a slightly higher speed tier, wider movepool, and Protean for stronger coverage]

[SET]
name: Choice Band

move 2: Icicle Crash
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Ice Shard / Superpower / Stone Edge / Ice Shard
item: Choice Band
ability: Mountaineer
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[I think that currently, Choice Band is Syclant's best set, as not only it distinguishes itself from Greninja due to its powerful Physical Ice moves, but it can also revenge kill Necturna, arguably the most threatening set-up sweeper in the metagame. For this reasons, I believe that this set should be placed at the top of the analysis, and Ice Shard should be slashed before both Superpower and Stone Edge.]

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* U-turn allows Syclant to pivot for momentum if its leads in a game to get a Pokemon that can deal with the Pokemon.
* Icicle Crash is a powerful STAB move that allows it to take care of Dragon- Ground- and Flying-types such as Zygarde, Colossoil, and Tomohawk.
* Syclant's Earthquake is key for it to be able to hit Steel- Poison- and Fire-types super effectively like Naviathan, Plasmanta, and Volkraken.
* Ice Shard can be used to hit a Pokemon that is faster or Choice Scarf to get a surprise KO on Tapu Koko and allows Syclant to chip Pokemon. [Moved above to reflect this move being slashed first]
* Superpower is important to hit Normal- and Dark- types like Chansey and Mega Tyranitar.
* Stone Edge can be used to hit Pokemon like Kyurem-B, Mega Charizard Y and Gyarados.

Set Details
========

* Choice Band allows Syclant to boost its Attack to allow it to become a powerful wallbreaker.
* 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe with a Jolly Nature allow Syclant to hit as hard as hard as possible, and maximizes its speed. [Added this point to talk about the IVs]
* Jolly nature is key for outspeeding [This clarifies exactly what Jolly is for] Pokemon like Mega Latias and Terrakion Mega Crucibelle [This is a much more relevant example].
* Mountaineer is the preferred ability to prevent Syclant from taking Stealth Rock damage. [Added this point to justify the ability choice]

Usage Tips
========

* Use Syclant early battle to gain momentum with U-turn if it cannot take care of the Pokemon in front of it.
* Try to get it on a predicted switch, a Pokemon fainting or from pivot Pokemon like Rotom-W Krilowatt [more relevant example] as Syclant cannot take attacks well.
* Make sure that there is are no Spikes on the field as these will slowly wear on Syclant.
* Take care of priority Pokemon like Greninja, Mega Mawile, and Colossoil as these will can severely weaken Syclant.

Team Options
========

* Wish passers like Clefable and Jumbao help keep Syclant healthy. [Remove this point entirely, Syclant is so frail than using Wish Support on it would be a waste.]
* Rapid Spinners and Defog users like Excadrill, Tapu Fini Tornadus-T and Tomohawk [Removed the first two, as they are not particularly common, and added Tornadus-T, a much more relevant Defogger] are good to pair with Syclant to get up rid of Spikes for it.
* Fire-types like Mega Charizard Y, Volkraken and Heatran help with troubling Steel-types like Celesteela and Ferrothron Ferrothorn for Syclant.
* Walls like Celesteela and Ferrothorn help Syclant with taking prority priority attacks for Syclant. [I recommend rewriting this section focusing more on what these bulky mons can do to support Syclant, like Ferrothorn setting up hazards, not just on generically good walls]
* Electric-types like Tapu Koko and Krilowatt help deal with troubling Water-types like Greninja and Arghonaut which Syclant has a hard time against.
[Additionally, add a point about other VoltTurn users like Mega Crucibelle and Krilowatt, which can form powerful offensive cores with Syclant]

* Ice Beam allows Syclant to take care of Ground- Flying- and Dragon-types such as Colossoil, Landorus-T, and Zygarde.
* Syclant can also take care of Fire- Steel- Poison- and Electric-types like Heatran, Mega Crucibelle and Plasmanta with Earthquake.
* Earth Power can be used over Earthquake to get KOs that Earthquake cannot such as Naviathan and Mega Mawile.
* Syclant's U-turn is key for it to chip Pokemon upon switching out and gaining momentum for the team. It can also be used to take care of Psychic-types like Mega Latios and Mew.
* Spikes are used as a form of hazard to limit the times the opponent can switch.
* Hidden Power Fire can beat Steel-types like Ferrothorn. and Kartana Mega Scizor [Kartana is a pretty bad example for this, as its already OHKOed by Ice Beam because of its atrocious SpD].

Set Details
========

* Its Nature Naive allows Syclant to be as fast as possible to outpace Pokemon such as Mega Latios, Blacephalon, and Keldeo.
* Life Orb is Syclant's main item of choice to further its damage output in order to get KOs on Heatran and Naviathan.
* Focus Sash can be used to guarantee one layer of Spikes or to outlive an attack to get a surprise KO on the likes of Magearna and Heatran.

Usage Tips
========

* Do not directly switch into Syclant as it is very frail, allow to come in either by a pivot Pokemon like Landorus-T and y, a predicted switch or from a Pokemon fainting.
* Try to knock out priority mons before using Syclant as its frail defenses will leave it heavily damaged or KOed from the likes of Sucker Punch from Mega Mawile, Water Shuriken from Greninja and Mega Scizor's Bullet Punch.
* Syclant can be used in early battle to gain momentum early on in the battle with U-Turn.
* It can also be kept for later in the battle to serve as a late-game revenge killer to KO Pokemon that are severely weakened.
[Add a point mentioning how with Focus Sash, Syclant can serve as an emergency stop to sweepers like Hawlucha, Cawmodore and a weakened Aurumoth]

Team Options
========

* Pivots like Landorus-T, Mega Scizor, and Magnezone are good to pair with this Pokemon because of their slow U-turn or Volt Switch which allows Syclant to not get damaged.
* Tapu Lele can help thanks to its Psychic Terrain blocking priority moves which Syclant appreciates.
* Fire-types Volkraken, Mega Charizard Y and Heatran help with Pokemon that Syclant cannot touch well like Celesteela, Cawmodore, and Mega Scizor.
* Electric-types like Krilowatt and Tapu Koko help with troubling Pokemon for Syclant like Celesteela, Cawmodore, and Arghonaut.
* Defoggers and Rapid Spinners like Skarmory, Tomohawk and Colossoil, Landorus-T and Tapu Koko [Colo and Skarmory are not good at hazard removal, so replaced them with better options] help to keep Spikes off the field so Syclant's Focus Sash does not get broken, or gets worn down from Spikes.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Tail Glow allows Syclant to boost its Special Attack to make it into a Special Sweeper.
* Ice Beam is Syclant's main form of attacking and allows it to get good neutral damage to the likes of Mega Sableye and Ferrothorn and also allows it to take care of Dragon- Ground-and Flying-types like Zygarde, Landorus-T, and Tomohawk.
* Earth Power allows it to have a way to hit Fire- Poison- and Steel-type Pokemon like Heatran, Fidgit Mega Crucibelle [Fidgit is not a good example here, as it takes more damage from Ice Beam], and Magnezone.
* U-turn is used to gain momentum to get a Pokemon in that can deal with the Pokemon at hand.

Set Details
========

* A Timid Nature is used to make Syclant as fast as possible and to not cut into its thin Special Defense stat.
* Focus Sash makes sure that Syclant can get a guaranteed setup of Tail Glow. It also can be used to catch an opponent off guard to 2KO 2HKO Pokemon like Magearna and Jirachi.
* Icium Z or Groundium Z is for a one time nuke to get Pokemon like Tomohawk and Ferrothorn with icium z Icium Z or Magearna and Krilowatt with Groundium Z.

Usage Tips
========

* Due to how frail Syclant is it best to keep it from switching it directly into an attack. The best way to bring it is from a slow pivot like Landorus-T and Mega Scizor, a predicted switch or from a Pokemon fainting.
* Syclant does not take priority attacks well from Mega Mawile and Ash Greninja, so it is best to take them out before sending Syclant in to set up with Tail Glow and sweep.
* Make sure Spikes and Toxic Spikes are off the field before Syclant comes in so it can preserve its Focus Sash to set up.
* It can be used late game to sweep after one Tail Glow boost once all threats are cleared.
[Add a point about spamming U-Turn early game to wear down checks]

Team Options
========

* Pokemon like Clefable, Jumbao, and Jirachi can help keep Syclant healthy due to passing Wish or Healing Wish to it to keep it healthy. [Same as before, Syclant is not worth using Wish support on. This set might have a bit more incentive to use it because of Focus Sash, but even then, Syclant is so frail that is it will end up being KOed while switching in most of the time, especially considering that it would have already taken damage once if you are trying to put it back at full health]
* Pivots like Landorus-T, Rotom-W and Jirachi allow Syclant to come in safely thanks to their U-turn or Volt Switch.
* Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Celesteela can help to take on priority attacks for Syclant thanks to their high bulk.
* Electric-types like Tapu Koko and Krilowatt help with Celesteela and Skarmory which Syclant appreciates as it cannot reliably set up on these two without risking getting burned or Whirlwind out.
* Rapid Spinners and Defoggers like Colossoil, Tomohawk and Landorus-T can keep Spikes off the field that pressure Syclant from coming it which it appreciates.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Choice Specs can be used to make Syclant's moves powerful without no setup, however this limits on how much it can do as it cannot click U-turn on a slower Pokemon or effectively switchout its moves when needed to take care of the Pokemon in front of it.
* Choice Scarf can be used to get surprise KOs on the likes of Tapu Koko, Greninja and Choice Scarfers like Tapu Bulu and Hoopa-U. However, this means it cannot effectively switchout its moves to take care of different Pokemon, and cannot use Focus Sash to live an attack it usually could not.
* Bug Buzz can be used over U-turn on the Offensive attacker and Tail Glow set, however, this means the Syclant cannot pivot to gain momentum on a predicted switch or get a Pokemon in safely to take care of a Pokemon that it cannot.
* Taunt can be used to stop Spike Spikes users like Greninja, Leech Seed Users like Ferrothorn, or set up on Pokemon like Gyarados. However, this means it has to drop a move like Earthquake and cannot take care of Fire-types like Heatran.
* Modest Nature on Tail Glow and Offensive Attacker to make Syclant hit even harder, but it fails to outpace key Pokemon like Mega Latias, and Gengar.
* Adamant Nature on Choice Band can be used to make Syclant break walls better, but then it is missing out on outpacing Pokemon like Terrakion and Mega Latios.

*An Adamant or Modest Nature can be used to make Syclant break walls even better, but fails at outspeeding Pokemon like Mega Latios, Mega Crucibelle and Kartana. [Merged the two points above, as they are about the same topic, trading speed for power]

[Also, add a point about Syclant other competitive ability, Compound Eyes, as it's not mentioned anywhere else in the analysis, basically saying that it allows you to use ~90% Accurate Blizzards, but having to take 50% HP from SR is almost never worth it]

Checks and Counters
===================

**Arghonaut**: Arghonaut walls Syclant completely as it takes any attack Syclant can do to it and negates Tail Glow boost thanks to its ability Unaware. [Expand this point to talk about Bulky Water-types in general, as Toxapex and Gastrodon can also give Syclant a lot of problems depending on the set]

**Fire-types**: Due to its horrible weakness to Fire-types, Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y, Heatran and Volkraken can easily take care of Syclant if it is not running Stone Edge or Heatran still has its Air Balloon. [Remove Heatran here, as it never uses Air Balloon, so it will almost always be taken out by Ground coverage]

**Steel-types**: Steel-type Pokemon like Celesteela, Mega Scizor, and Ferrothorn easily wall Syclant and can easily take care of it with their Steel-type attacks. [Mention how Celesteela and Ferrothorn don't like taking repeated Ice-type moves]

**Priority**: Priority moves like Sucker Punch from Mega Mawile and Colossoil, Water Shuriken from Greninja, or Bullet Punch from Cawmodore can take care of Syclant due to its frail defenses after a bit of prior damage. [Added the last part, as these moves can almost never KO Syclant from full HP]

**Choice Scarf Pokemon**: Choice Scarf Pokemon like Kitsunoh and Volkraken outpace Syclant and can take care of it with their STAB moves.

[Overview]

* U-turn, goes nicely with its ability Mountaineer as it can be used to wear down most of Syclant switch ins while gaining momentum.
I suppose it's not wrong that U-turn goes nicely with Mountaineer somewhat, however, this is not a major point as to why U-turn is so good on Syclant.

* Furthermore, it has good coverage moves like Earthquake, Superpower, and Stone Edge and with its STAB moves, it allows Syclant to take care of many Pokemon in the metagame like Heatran, Chansey, and Zapdos.
Syclant has Ice STAB, which hits Zapdos way harder than Stone Edge.

* However, it has a poor defensive typing that leaves it a crippling weakness to fire moves from the like Choice Scarf Jumbao, Volkraken, and Mega Charizard Y.
Charizard Y is irrelevant, I don't think you should mention it, instead, Heatran would be a lot better as an example because it can take advantage of Choice-locked Syclant.

* Syclant has a hard time against bulky Water-types like Arghonaut and Toxapex because they can take any of Syclant's attacks and can easily wall it.
252 Atk Choice Band Syclant Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Toxapex: 208-246 (68.6 - 81.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Syclant Earth Power vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Toxapex: 133-156 (43.8 - 51.4%) -- 60.5% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
Toxapex doesn't easily wall it.

* Due to its thin defenses, priority moves can easily take care of Syclant from Pokemon such as Mega Mawile, and Mega Scizor.
I think this should be a more general comment like "Due to Syclant's thin defenses, priority moves can easily take care of it."

A lot is missing from this Overview. You should talk about Syclant's amazing offensive typing, access to priority, and access to Spikes.

[Choice Band]

[Set]

[SET]
name: Choice Band
move 1: U-turn
move 2: Icicle Crash
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Ice Shard / Superpower / Stone Edge
item: Choice Band
ability: Mountaineer
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Superpower should not be slashed, neither should Stone Edge.

[Moves]

* U-turn allows Syclant to pivot for momentum if its leads in a game to get a Pokemon that can deal with the Pokemon.
* Icicle Crash is a powerful STAB move that allows it to take care of Dragon- Ground- Grass- and Flying-types such as Zygarde, Colossoil, Necturna, and Tomohawk.
These should be removed as per our new policy.

* Syclant's Earthquake is key for it to be able to hit Steel- Poison- and Fire-types super effectively like Naviathan, Plasmanta, and Volkraken.
Toxapex and Heatran are the reason why Syclant runs Earthquake, and instead you decide to mention Plasmanta and Naviathan??

* Ice Shard can be used to hit a Pokemon that is faster or Choice Scarf to get a surprise KO on Tapu Koko and allows Syclant to chip Pokemon.
The main reason you run Ice Shard is because of Necturna, not to get insignificant chip damage on most faster Pokemon.

* Superpower is important to hit Normal- and Dark- types like Chansey and Mega Tyranitar.
You'd usually just click U-turn against Dark-types, it's really only for Chansey and maintaining coverage against Heatran.

Drop Stone Edge to Other Options.

[Usage Tips]

* Try to get it on a predicted switch, a Pokemon fainting or from pivot Pokemon like Krilowatt as Syclant cannot take attacks well.
I have literally no idea what this is supposed to mean, because it's worded very poorly.

Talk about how you want to be using U-turn a lot.

Also, when do I use Earthquake?

[Team Options]

* Rapid Spinners and Defog users like Tornadus-T and Tomohawk are good to pair with Syclant to get rid of Spikes for it.
Tornadus-T the Rapid Spinner and Tomohawk the Defog user.

* Electric-types like Tapu Koko and Krilowatt help deal with troubling Water-types like Greninja and Arghonaut which Syclant has a hard time against.
Both Tapu Koko and Krilowatt are generally pretty poor checks to Greninja and Arghonaut.

* U-turn and Volt Switch users like Mega Crucibelle and Krilowatt can help get Syclant in safely as well from a power offensive core with Syclant. These two Pokemon respectably can take care of Pokemon that Syclant struggles with like Tapu Koko, and Celesteela for it.
Tornadus-T should be mentioned here as well, as it also Knocks Celesteela's Leftovers.

I think entry hazards in general should get a big mention, as Syclant really appreciates the support from hazards to weaken the opposition.

Psychic-type wallbreakers like Mega Alakazam and Mega Medicham appreciate Syclant's ability to force switches and bring them in with U-turn. Mega Alakazam also appreciates the fact that Syclant forces damage on Steel-types.

[Offensive Attacker]

[SET]
name: Offensive Attacker
move 1: Ice Beam
move 2: Earthquake / Earth Power
move 3: U-turn
move 4: Spikes / Hidden Power Fire
item: Life Orb / Focus Sash
ability: Mountaineer
nature: Naive
evs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Remove Hidden Power Fire as a whole, you're using this set because of Spikes.

[Moves]

* Ice Beam allows Syclant to take care of Ground- Flying- and Dragon-types such as Colossoil, Landorus-T, and Zygarde.
* Syclant's U-turn is key for it to chip Pokemon upon switching out and gaining momentum for the team. It can also be used to take care of Psychic-types like Mega Latios and Mew.
Remove these as per our new policy.

* Syclant can also take care of Fire- Steel- Poison- and Electric-types like Heatran, Mega Crucibelle and Plasmanta with Earthquake.
Toxapex and Heatran.

* Syclant's U-turn is key for it to chip Pokemon upon switching out and gaining momentum for the team. It can also be used to take care of Psychic-types like Mega Latios and Mew.
It's really important for Arghonaut matchups.

* Spikes are used as a form of hazard to limit the times the opponent can switch.
This literally tells me nothing. Tell me, why is Syclant a good user of Spikes?

* Hidden Power Fire can beat Steel-types like Ferrothorn. and Mega Scizor.
Remove.

[Set Details]

* Its Naive Nature along with Max Special Attack and Speed in EVs allows Syclant to be as fast as possible to outpace Pokemon such as Mega Latios, Blacephalon, and Keldeo.
Mention Mega Crucibelle instead of Blacephalon and Keldeo, neither Pokemon are used at all.

* Life Orb is Syclant's main item of choice to further its damage output in order to get KOs on Heatran and Naviathan.
Life Orb is used to 2HKO Toxapex and Magearna. You still OHKO Heatran almost all the time so I don't think it should be mentioned here.

[Usage Tips]

* Try to knock out priority mons before using Syclant as its frail defenses will leave it heavily damaged or KOed from the likes of Sucker Punch from Mega Mawile and Mega Scizor's Bullet Punch.
You can still use Mega Scizor even when Pokemon with priority are still present, not using Syclant because of them would be stupid because it'd mean you're basically playing a 5v6 then.

When do I set Spikes??

[Team Options]

* Pivots like Landorus-T, Mega Scizor, and Magnezone are good to pair with this Pokemon because of their slow U-turn or Volt Switch which allows Syclant to not get damaged.
No, Magnezone is NOT good to pair with Syclant because of its slow Volt Switch lol. It's good with Syclant because it traps annoying Steel-types, namely Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn.

* Tapu Lele can help thanks to its Psychic Terrain blocking priority moves which Syclant appreciates.
Make this a more general comment about Psychic-types, which force damage on bulky Steel-types, and appreciate Syclant's U-turn and Spikes support.

* Electric-types like Krilowatt and Tapu Koko help with troubling Pokemon for Syclant like Celesteela, Cawmodore, and Arghonaut.
I really don't understand how Krilowatt or Tapu Koko are a check to Cawmodore, they often don't run Scald, Surf, or Hidden Power Fire respectively.
Krilowatt and Tapu Koko form a VoltTurn core with Syclant and appreciate Spikes support, that's the main appeal.

* Defoggers and Rapid Spinners like Tomohawk, Landorus-T and Tapu Koko help to keep Spikes off the field so Syclant's Focus Sash does not get broken, or gets worn down from Spikes.
Tornadus-T instead of Landorus-T, it's much more reliable as a Defogger. Also, change the order in which you mention these Pokemon because Tomohawk is not a Defogger and Tapu Koko isn't a Rapid Spinner.

[Tail Glow]

[Moves]

* Ice Beam is Syclant's main form of attacking and allows it to get good neutral damage to the likes of Mega Sableye and Ferrothorn and also allows it to take care of Dragon- Ground-and Flying-types like Zygarde, Landorus-T, and Tomohawk.
Self explanatory, so remove this as per our new policy.

* Earth Power allows it to have a way to hit Fire- Poison- and Steel-type Pokemon like Heatran, Mega Crucibelle, and Magnezone.
Fucking Toxapex.

* U-turn is used to gain momentum to get a Pokemon in that can deal with the Pokemon at hand.
It's mainly just so that Syclant isn't a complete sitting duck in matchups against Arghonaut.

[Set Details]

* A Timid Nature is used with Max Special Attack and Speed in EVs is to make Syclant as strong and fast as possible and to not cut into its thin Special Defense stat.
Mention some important Speed tiers a Timid nature hits.

* Focus Sash makes sure that Syclant can get a guaranteed setup of Tail Glow. It also can be used to catch an opponent off guard to 2HKO Pokemon like Magearna and Jirachi.
Jirachi is terrible. It's probably better to just mention it as an ok safety net against set up sweepers.

[Usage Tips]

* Syclant does not take priority attacks well from Mega Mawile and Mega Scizor, so it is best to take them out before sending Syclant in to set up with Tail Glow and sweep.
You can still use Syclant to generate momentum with U-turn. Advocating for a 5v6 because of priority users is really weird and makes it seem like Syclant is not worthwhile using?

[Team Options]

* Pivots like Landorus-T, Rotom-W and Jirachi allow Syclant to come in safely thanks to their U-turn or Volt Switch.
Nuke Rotom-W and Jirachi, replace them with Tornadus-T and Mega Scizor.

* Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Celesteela can help to take on priority attacks for Syclant thanks to their high bulk.
Why would I use Ferrothorn and Celesteela because they can check Priority user? Remove this.

* Electric-types like Tapu Koko and Krilowatt help with Celesteela and Skarmory which Syclant appreciates as it cannot reliably set up on these two without risking getting burned or Whirlwind out.
Skarmory is entirely irrelevant in the metagame.

Add Psychic-types for the same reasons as I mentioned, but this time they break down Steel-types for Syclant to sweep.

Add offensive Pokemon. Ash-Greninja in particular is nice because it appreciates U-turn support and also sets Spikes.

[Other Options]

* Choice Specs can be used to make Syclant's moves powerful without no setup, however this limits on how much it can do as it cannot click U-turn on a slower Pokemon or effectively switchout its moves when needed to take care of the Pokemon in front of it.
* Choice Scarf can be used to get surprise KOs on the likes of Tapu Koko, Greninja and Choice Scarfers like Tapu Bulu and Hoopa-U. However, this means it cannot effectively switchout its moves to take care of different Pokemon, and cannot use Focus Sash to live an attack it usually could not.
*An Adamant or Modest Nature can be used to make Syclant break walls better but fails at outspeeding Pokemon like Mega Latios, Mega Crucibelle and Kartana.
* Syclant’s other competitive ability Compound Eyes can be used to get a 90% accurate Blizzard, but it is not worth it because its health gets halved from Stealth Rock when it switches in.
These are all insanely bad, please remove them.

Don't forget to add Stone Edge at the bottom.

[Checks and Counters]

Oher Bulky Water-types like Toxapex and Gastrodon can give Syclant problems as Toxapex can Haze out Tail Glow boosts and can put Syclant on a timer with Toxic. Gastrodon can wall Syclant completely thanks to its bulk.
Toxapex is bothered by Taunt a lot and isn't very comfortable against Choice Band or Groundium Z sets. Gastrodon doesn't take Choice Band sets on well at all and is also bothered by Taunt and is OHKOed by a +3 Subzero Slammer.

**Fire-types**: Due to its horrible weakness to Fire-types, Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y and Volkraken can easily take care of Syclant if it is not running Stone Edge.
Give a mention to Heatran, because it's pretty annoying for Choice Band sets.

**Steel-types**: Steel-type Pokemon like Celesteela, Mega Scizor, and Ferrothorn easily wall Syclant and can easily take care of it with their Steel-type attacks. However, Celesteela and Ferrothorn don’t like taking Syclant’s Ice-type moves due to taking neutral damage to them and risk getting frozen or flinched down.
Mention Assault Vest Magearna. Don't mention getting haxed.

**Choice Scarf Pokemon**: Choice Scarf Pokemon like Kitsunoh and Volkraken outpace Syclant and can take care of it with their STAB moves.
You already mentioned Volkraken under Fire-types, so replace this with another relevant Choice Scarfer.

Not stamping yet, please implement this and let me know.

[Overview]

* Its great offensive typing allows it to threaten many Pokemon in the metagame with its STAB attacks like Mega Latios, and Landorus-T, and has options to run many different sets due to its movepool and has many set up options in Swords Dance and Tail Glow.
Yeah it does have Swords Dance but it never runs it so remove it.

* U-turn, goes nicely with its ability Mountaineer as it can be used to pressure most of Syclant switch-ins while gaining momentum for the team.
Just mention that U-turn pairs nicely with Syclant thanks to its high Speed and pressure, just leave the bit about going nicely with Mountaineer out because it's not a major point.

* Furthermore, it has good coverage moves like Earthquake, Superpower, and Stone Edge and with its STAB moves, it allows Syclant to take care of many Pokemon in the metagame like Heatran, Chansey, and Mega Charizard Y.
Just leave Stone Edge out because it was dropped to Other Options. Also, Mega Charizard Y is still a bad Pokemon.

* Syclant faces competition from Greninja due to its higher Speed, wider movepool, and its ability Protean which power up its Attacks and switches its type.
You don't have to explain Protean's mechanics in a Syclant analysis.

[Choice Band]

[Moves]

* Superpower is important to hit Normal-types like Chansey.
It's not really important, because if it was, it would be slashed or a frontslash. Add that it still maintains coverage for Heatran but leaves Syclant walled by Toxapex.

[Set Details]

* Max Attack and Speed with a Jolly Nature allows Syclant to hit as hard as hard as possible and maximizes its speed.
* Jolly nature is key for outspeeding Pokemon like Mega Latias and Mega Crucibelle.
Merge these two bullet points and remove the part about Max Attack and to hit as hard as possible because they're considered filler.

[Usage Tips]

* U-turn is its main way of getting damage off and gaining momentum for the team from Syclant threatens like Colossoil and Mega Latios.
Arghonaut is way more important of a U-turn target because Arghonaut will pretty much always switch into Syclant to set Spikes.

* Try to get Syclant in on a predicted switch due to a teammate pressuring the Pokemon, a Pokemon fainting or from a pivot Pokemon like Krilowatt as Syclant cannot take attacks well.
Mention Tornadus-T.

* Use Earthquake on a predicted switch into Heatran or Volkraken.
Toxapex.

* Take care of priority Pokemon like Mega Mawile and Colossoil as these can severely weaken Syclant as it cannot choose to stay in on these.
The structure of this sentence doesn't make much sense, please reword it.

[Team Options]

* Psychic-type wallbreakers like Mega Alakazam and Mega Medicham appreciate Syclant's ability to force switches and bring them in with U-turn. Mega Alakazam also appreciates the fact that Syclant forces damage on Steel-types.
Add Tapu Lele.

* Walls like Celesteela and Ferrothorn help Syclant with taking priority attacks for Syclant. Ferrothorn can also set up Stealth Rock or Spikes to help wear down the Opponent’s Pokemon to let Syclant have an easier time KOing them and Celesteela can use Toxic and Leech Seed to help wear down Syclant’s counters.
I don't think mentioning that they can take priority attacks for Syclant is worth it. You already mention Ferrothorn as a Spikes setter so just remove this entirely.

[Offensive Attacker]

I think "Offensive Utility" would be a more suitable name here.

[Moves]

* Syclant can take care of Fire- and Poison-types like Heatran and Toxapex.
I think you meant to say Earthquake.

I feel like U-turn isn't as self explanatory on this set considering it runs Ice Beam as the main offensive move, so mention that it lets Syclant pivot out of Arghonaut.

[Set Details]

* Its Naive Nature along with Max Special Attack and Speed in EVs allows Syclant to be as fast as possible to outpace Pokemon such as Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle.
The max SpA stuff is considered filler.

* Focus Sash can be used to guarantee one layer of Spikes or to outlive an attack to get a surprise KO on the likes of Magearna and Heatran.
Heatran will probably hit you with Magma Storm, so Focus Sash won't end up mattering much if you try to switch Syclant into Heatran, just leave it at Magearna.

[Usage Tips]

* Syclant can set up Spikes on a predicted switch due to it pressuring a Pokemon, a Pokemon setting up Stealth Rock, or when Syclant's Focus Sash is not needed.
Give some examples when you say "a Pokemon". Also, "due" sounds negative, when it's not so change it to "because".

[Team Options]

* Pivots like Landorus-T, and Mega Scizor are good to pair with this Pokemon because of their slow U-turn or Volt Switch which allows Syclant to not get damaged. Magnezone is also good for its Volt Switch but more so it can trap annoying Steel-types that Syclant struggles with, like Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn.
Add Mega Crucibelle, it also sets Stealth Rock.

* Hazard users like Ferrothorn and Ash-Greninja are nice to pair with it as it allows Syclant to further pressure Pokemon and wore them down.
I usually wouldn't bother running a double Spikes stacking core.

* Fire-types like Volkraken, Mega Charizard Y and Heatran help with Pokemon that Syclant cannot touch well like Celesteela, Cawmodore, and Mega Scizor.
Mega Charizard Y is still bad.

* Defoggers and Rapid Spinners like Tornadus-T, Tapu Koko and Tomohawk help to keep Spikes off the field so Syclant's Focus Sash does not get broken, or gets worn down from Spikes.
I think you should just delete this part because Syclant will be looking to keep up its own Spikes as a priority.

Add a bullet about Stealth Rock setters.

[Tail Glow]

[Moves]

Mention U-turn, it's not super obvious why you'd run this on a Special Attacking set.

[Set Details]

* A Timid Nature is used with Max Special Attack and Speed in EVs is to make Syclant as strong and fast as possible to be able to outpace Pokemon like Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle, and Timid nature is also used to not cut into its thin Special Defense stat.
Remove the stuff about Max Special Attack and hitting as strong as possible because that's filler.

[Usage Tips]

* Syclant does not take priority attacks well from Mega Mawile and Mega Scizor, so it is best to U-turn on a predicted switch into them and take care of these Pokemon before setting up with Tail Glow and sweep.
Mega Mawile takes a shitload from Earth Power.

[Team Options]

Add Magnezone.

[Other Options]

Add Taunt back, it should have been kept.

[Checks and Counters]

**Fire-types**: Due to its horrible weakness to Fire-types, Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y, Heatran and Volkraken can easily take care of Syclant if it is not running Stone Edge or Earthquake.
Saying "if it is not running Stone Edge or Earthquake/Earth Power" is kinda weird considering every set runs Ground coverage. Be more specific about them bothering Choice Band sets mainly because other sets can switch up moves.

Assault Vest Magearna can easily tank Earth Power and OHKO Syclant if Focus Sash is consumed.
But is threatened immensely by Earthquake.

Ok, let's do this for real now

[OVERVIEW]

* Syclant has a good mixed offensive stats, a good movepool and a fantastic Speed stat that outpaces most Pokemon in the metagame except Choice Scarf Pokemon, Greninja, and Tapu Koko.
* Its great offensive typing allows it to threaten many Pokemon in the metagame with its STAB attacks like Mega Latios, and Landorus-T, and has options to run many different sets due to its movepool and has a setup option in Tail Glow which allows it to sweep.
* Its unique ability Mountaineer furthers helps it as this allows it to have a Stealth Rock immunity that otherwise would have given it a Stealth Rock weakness. [It should be assumed that the reader understands that Ice/Bug is weak to SR]
* U-turn goes nicely with Syclant's high Speed as it is able to pressure most of its switch-ins while gaining momentum for the team.
* It also has access to the priority move Ice Shard, which allows it take care of Necturna, and take care of weaken Pokemon.
* Furthermore, it has good coverage moves like Earthquake, and Superpower Earth Power with its STAB moves, it allows Syclant to take care of many Pokemon in the metagame like Heatran, and Chansey. [Rewrite this point to be only about Ground coverage, as other types of coverage are not slashed on the main sets]
* It has access to Spikes, which can be put down to pressure Pokemon and limit how many times they can switch.
* However, it has a poor defensive typing that leaves it a crippling weakness to fire moves from the like Choice Scarf Jumbao, Volkraken, and Heatran. [Change this point to talk about Syclant's weaknesses in general. Fire might be its most notable one, but its far from the only one]
* Syclant has a hard time against bulky Water-types like Arghonaut, as it can take any of Syclant's attacks and can easily wall it. [Moved this below, as the next two points continue on how to deal with Syclant offensively, so talking about Bulky Waters here feels out of place]

* Due to Syclant's thin defenses, priority moves can easily take care of it.
* Furthermore, Syclant can easily revenge killed by faster Pokemon like Greninja, Tapu Koko, Mega Alakazam, and Choice Scarfers like Kitsunoh and Volkraken.
* Syclant has a hard time against bulky Water-types like Arghonaut, as it can take any of Syclant's attacks and can easily wall it.
* Syclant faces competition from Greninja due to its higher Speed, wider movepool, and its ability Protean.

Moves
========

* Syclant's Earthquake is key for it to be able to hit Poison- and Fire-types super effectively like Toxapex and Heatran.
* Ice Shard is mainly used to hit Necturna after it uses Shell Smash once. It can also be used to hit weaken Pokemon late game that is in range of its Ice Shard.
* Superpower allows to hit Normal-types like Chansey and maintains coverage for Heatran, but leaves Syclant walled by Toxapex. [Specify that Superpower should be ran in place of Earthquake, that is not clear right now]

Set Details
========

* Choice Band allows Syclant to boost its Attack to allow it to become a powerful wallbreaker.
* Max Speed with a Jolly Nature is key for outspeeding Pokemon like Mega Latias and Mega Crucibelle.
* Mountaineer is the preferred ability to prevent Syclant from taking Stealth Rock damage.

Usage Tips
========

* Use Syclant early battle to gain momentum with U-turn if it cannot take care of the Pokemon in front of it.
* U-turn is its main way of getting damage off and gaining momentum for the team from Pokemon from Syclant threatens like Colossoil and Mega Latios. It also U-turns on Arghonaut to get in a Pokemon that threatens it to avoid Arghonaut setting up Spikes.
* Try to get Syclant in on a predicted switch due to a teammate pressuring the Pokemon [this last part is unnecessary], a Pokemon fainting or from a pivot Pokemon like Krilowatt and Tornadus-T as Syclant cannot take attacks well.
* Use Earthquake on a predicted switch into Heatran or Toxapex.
* Make sure that there are no Spikes on the field as these will slowly wear down Syclant.
* Priority Pokemon like Mega Mawile and Colossoil as it can severely weaken Syclant with their Sucker Punch. [Fix this point, the way it's currently written makes no sense]

Team Options
========

* Rapid Spinners and Defog users like Tomohawk and Tornadus-T and are good to pair with Syclant to get rid of Spikes for it.
* Entry Hazards from Ferrothorn, Clefable, or Ash-Greninja is nice because it allows Syclant to further pressure switch-ins and limit how many times a Pokemon can switch.
* Fire-types like Mega Charizard Y, Volkraken and Heatran help with troubling Steel-types like Celesteela and Ferrothorn for Syclant.
* Psychic-type wallbreakers like Mega Alakazam, Tapu Lele and Mega Medicham appreciate Syclant's ability to force switches and bring them in with U-turn. Mega Alakazam also appreciates the fact that Syclant forces damage on Steel-types.
* U-turn and Volt Switch users like Mega Crucibelle, Tornadus-T and Krilowatt can help get Syclant in safely as well from a powerful offensive core with Syclant. These two Pokemon respectably can take care of Pokemon that Syclant struggles with like Tapu Koko, and Celesteela for it.

Moves
========

* Syclant can take care of Fire- and Poison-types like Heatran and Toxapex with Earthquake.
* Earth Power can be used over Earthquake to get KOs that Earthquake cannot such as Naviathan and Mega Mawile.
* U-turn allows Syclant to pivot out of Arghonaut. [This is too specific for Moves, as it talks about how to use the move, so it should be moved to Usage tips]
* Spikes are used as a form of hazard as Syclant pressures a lot of Pokemon into switching out which is a perfect time to set a layer of Spikes down or can use its Focus Sash to get down a layer of Spikes.

Set Details
========

* Its Naive Nature Max Speed in EVs allows Syclant to outpace Pokemon such as Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle.
* Life Orb is Syclant's main item of choice to further its damage output in order to 2HKO Toxapex and Assault Vest Magearna [Specify this set in particular, as offensive sets don't run HP EVs and therefore Syclant doesn't need LO to 2HKO them].
* Focus Sash can be used to guarantee one layer of Spikes or to outlive an attack to get a surprise KO on the likes of Hawlucha Magearna [I don't think Magearna is the best example here, because Syclant can never KO it from full. Hawlucha is better because not only it is OHKOed by Ice Beam, but it better showcases Syclant's ability to act as an emergency check to dangerous sweepers].

Usage Tips
========

* Do not directly switch into Syclant as it is very frail, allow to come in either by a pivot Pokemon like Landorus-T [Examples of teammates are better saved for Team Options], a predicted switch or from a Pokemon fainting.
* Syclant can set up Spikes on a predicted switch because it pressures Pokemon like Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle, Stealth Rock settlers like Ferrothorn and Clefable [Syclant can't really do this, as Ferro threatens to Gyro Ball and Clefable isn't 2HKOed by Ice Beam without LO], or when Syclant's Focus Sash is not needed.
* Try to knock out priority mons as its frail defenses will leave it heavily damaged or KOed from the likes of Sucker Punch from Mega Mawile and Mega Scizor's Bullet Punch.
* Syclant can be used in early battle to gain momentum early on in the battle with U-turn. U-turn is also important for Arghonaut matchups.
* It can also be kept for later in the battle to serve as a late-game revenge killer to KO Pokemon that are severely weakened.
* Focus Sash can also serve as an emergency stop to set up sweepers like Hawlucha, Cawmodore, and a weakened Aurumoth.

Team Options
========

* Pivots like Landorus-T, and Mega Scizor is good to pair with this Pokemon because of their slow U-turn which allows Syclant to not get damaged. Magnezone is also good for its Volt Switch but more so it can trap annoying Steel-types that Syclant struggles with, like Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn. Mega Crucibelle is also a nice fast pivot Pokemon to pair with Syclant as Mega Crucibelle can set Stealth Rock to pressure Pokemon into switching in.
* Stealth Rock users like Ferrothorn, Tomohawk, and Clefable are nice to pair with Syclant as this pressure switch-ins and limits how many times a Pokemon can switch.
* Psychic-types like Tapu Lele, Mega Medicham and Mega Alakazam which can help with Ferrothorn, and Celesteela and both appreciate Syclant thanks to its U-turn and the Spikes it sets up.
* Fire-types like Volkraken and Heatran help with Pokemon that Syclant cannot touch well like Celesteela, Cawmodore, and Mega Scizor.
* Electric-types like Krilowatt and Tapu Koko can form a VoltTurn core with Syclant and appreciate Spikes support.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

* Tail Glow allows Syclant to boost its Special Attack to make it into a Special Sweeper.
* Earth Power allows it to have a way to hit Fire- Poison-type Pokemon like Heatran and Toxapex.
* U-turn allows Syclant to pivot from Arghonaut and gain momentum for the team due to pressuring Pokemon like Mega Latias, Mega Medicham and Landorus-T.

Set Details
========

* A Timid Nature is used with Speed in EVs is to make Syclant able to outpace Pokemon like Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle, and Timid nature is also used to not cut into its thin Special Defense stat.
* Focus Sash makes sure that Syclant can get a guaranteed setup of Tail Glow. It also can be used as a safety net against set up sweepers.
* Icium Z or Groundium Z is for a one time nuke to get Pokemon like Tomohawk Celesteela [While it's true that without Icium-Z you fail to OHKO Tomohawk, Celesteela is a better example because it can tank a even a boosted Ice Beam and immediately KO Syclant afterwards] and Ferrothorn with Icium Z or Magearna and Krilowatt with Groundium Z.

Usage Tips
========

* Due to how frail Syclant is it best to keep it from switching it directly into an attack. The best way to bring it is from a slow pivot like Landorus-T and Mega Scizor, a predicted switch or from a Pokemon fainting.
* Syclant does not take priority attacks well from Mega Scizor, so it is best to U-turn on a predicted switch into them and take care of these Pokemon before setting up with Tail Glow and sweep.
* Make sure Spikes and Toxic Spikes are off the field before Syclant comes in so it can preserve its Focus Sash to set up.
* It can be used late game to sweep after one Tail Glow boost once all threats are cleared.
* Use U-turn early game to wear down Syclant's checks as it is easily spammed thanks to its high Speed and can gain momentum for the team.

* Pivots like Landorus-T, Tornadus-T, and Mega Scizor allows Syclant to come in safely thanks to their U-turn. Magnezone is also useful as a pivot thanks to Volt Switch but is also useful for trapping troublesome Steel-types for Syclant like Mega Scizor, Ferrothorn, and Celesteela.
* Electric-types like Tapu Koko and Krilowatt help with Celesteela which Syclant appreciates as it cannot reliably set up on these two without risking getting burned and can form a VoltTurn core with Syclant to take care of each other threats. [Rewrite this point, I can't understand what you are trying to say]
* Psychic-types like Mega Medicham, Tapu Lele and Mega Alakazam can break down Steel-type Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Celesteela in order for Syclant to sweep.
* Offensive Pokemon like Ash-Greninja and Mega Crucibelle are good to pair with Syclant as both appreciate the U-turn support from it and Ash-Greninja can also set Spikes for Syclant so it can pressure switch in even further.

* Rapid Spinners and Defoggers like Tornadus-T Colossoil [Rapid Spin Colossoil is mediocre at best], Tomohawk and Landorus-T can keep Spikes off the field that pressure Syclant from coming it which it appreciates.

* Taunt can be used to stop Spikes users like Greninja, Leech Seed Users like Ferrothorn, or stop a Pokemon from setting up like Gyarados. However, this means it has to drop a move like Earthquake and cannot take care of Fire-types like Heatran.
* Stone Edge can be used to hit Pokemon like Kyurem-B, and Mega Charizard Y, however, this means that Syclant has to drop Earth Power / Earthquake which makes it miss on hitting Pokemon like Heatran and Volkraken.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Arghonaut**: Arghonaut walls Syclant completely as it takes any attack Syclant can do to it and negates Tail Glow boost thanks to its ability Unaware.

**Fire-types**: Due to its horrible weakness to Fire-types, Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y, Heatran and Volkraken can easily take care of Choice Band Syclant if it is not running Stone Edge or locked into another move. [Rewrite this part entirely, as each Fire-type here interacts with Syclant in a completely different way. Drop Char-Y, its not relevant enough to warrant a mention. First talk about Choice Scarf Volkraken, which can revenge kill any set, and its only afraid of Ground coverage or getting worn down by hazards. Then, talk about Heatran saying it can check CB sets, although it's very afraid of Earthquake, and other sets beat it 1v1 with their coverage. Then add Pyroak, noting that because of its bulk, it can take any move Syclant throws, but it's very easily worn down by hazards.]

**Steel-types**: Steel-type Pokemon like Celesteela, Mega Scizor, and Ferrothorn easily wall Syclant and can easily take care of it with their Steel-type attacks. However, Celesteela and Ferrothorn don’t like taking Syclant’s Ice-type moves due to taking neutral damage to them. Assault Vest Magearna can easily tank Earth Power and OHKO Syclant if Focus Sash is consumed [This should be obvious], but it is threatened immensely by Earthquake.

**Priority**: Priority moves like Sucker Punch from Mega Mawile and Colossoil, or Bullet Punch from Cawmodore can take care of Syclant due to its frail defenses after a bit of prior damage.

**Choice Scarf Pokemon**: Choice Scarf Pokemon like Kitsunoh and Jumbao outpace Syclant and can take care of it with their STAB moves.

* Furthermore, it has good coverage moves like Earthquake, and Earth Power along with its STAB moves, it allows Syclant to take care of many Pokemon in the metagame like Heatran and Toxapex.
* It has access to Spikes, which can be put down to pressure Pokemon and limit how many times they can switch.
* However, it has a poor defensive typing that leaves it with many crippling weaknesses to Fire-type moves as well as Flying-, Rock- and Steel-type moves [Just saying Syclant has many weaknesses is enough] to from Pokemon like Choice Scarf Jumbao, Volkraken, Tornadus-T, Stratagem [While Strata provides a good example of a Rock-type capable of beating Syclant 1v1, it's not necessary to give an example for every weaknesses, and Strata is not very good in the current meta], and Celesteela.
* Syclant has a hard time against bulky Water-types like Arghonaut, as it can take any of Syclant's attacks and can easily wall it. [Repeated below]
* Due to Syclant's thin defenses, priority moves can easily take care of it.

[OVERVIEW]

Syclant has a good mixed offensive stats, a good movepool and a fantastic Speed stat that outpaces most Pokemon in the metagame except Choice Scarf Pokemon, Greninja, and Tapu Koko. Honestly I'd rather you say that it speed ties with Tornadus-T and outspeeds Mega Crucibelle, since its speed is really great, don't start the analysis talking down on it. Its great offensive typing allows it to threaten many Pokemon in the metagame with its STAB attacks like Mega Latios, and Landorus-T, and has options to run many different sets due to its movepool this is rather obvious and has a setup option in Tail Glow which allows it to sweep. Its unique ability Mountaineer furthers helps it as this allows it to have a Stealth Rock immunity. U-turn goes nicely with Syclant's high Speed as it is able to pressure most of its switch-ins while gaining momentum for the team. It also has access to the priority move Ice Shard, which allows its Choice Band set take care of weakened or frail sweepers like Shell Smash Necturna, and take care of weaken Pokemon. Furthermore, it has good coverage moves like Earthquake, and Earth Power along with its STAB moves, it allows Syclant to take care of many Pokemon in the metagame like Heatran and Toxapex. It has access to Spikes, which can be put down to pressure Pokemon and limit how many times they can switch.

We need to organize these positives so it's not like "Clant has good stabs...and tail glow...and mountaineer...and etc." I'd like to see you talk about its stab combination in conjunction with Ground-type coverage, as they're on every set. Then go into access to U-turn and Mountaineer. Then you go into access to Ice Shard for CB specifically, then Spikes, and then Tail Glow. This way the reader knows what's important and what's not, as the important stuff comes first.

However, it has a poor defensive typing that leaves it with many crippling weaknesses to Pokemon like Choice Scarf Jumbao, Volkraken, Tornadus-T, and Celesteela. Due to Syclant's thin defenses, priority moves from what? can easily take care of it. Furthermore, Syclant can easily revenge killed by faster Pokemon like Greninja, Tapu Koko, Mega Alakazam, and Choice Scarfers like Kitsunoh and Volkraken. Talk about Clant's thin defenses before the poor defensive typing, as the defenses are really what let it down. Syclant has a hard time against the common bulky Water-types like Arghonaut Arghonaut is the only bulky water that really gives it trouble, as it can take any of Syclant's attacks and can easily wall it. It also faces competition from Greninja due to its higher Speed, wider movepool, and its ability Protean.

Tail Glow allows Syclant to boost its Special Attack to make it into a Special Sweeper. we know what Tail Glow does Earth Power reword the Earth Power point please...something like "hits all most all targets that would survive +3 Ice Beam, such as Magearna, Heatran, and Toxapex allows it to have a way to hit Fire- Poison-type Pokemon like Heatran and Toxapex. U-turn allows Syclant to pivot from Arghonaut and gain momentum for the team due to pressuring Pokemon like Mega Latias, Mega Medicham and Landorus-T. The point doesn't really encapsulate what U-turn is supposed to do - it's really there to lure out syclant's checks so that a teammate can place pressure on them and to bluff its other sets.

A Timid Nature is used with Speed in EVs is to make ensures Syclant able to outpace Pokemon like Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle, and Timid nature is also used because U-turn's damage is less important. to not cut into its thin Special Defense stat. Focus Sash makes sure that Syclant can get a guaranteed setup of Tail Glow or prevent its sweep from ending. It also can be used as a safety net against set up sweepers if Syclant cannot find a chance to boost. Icium Z or Groundium Z is for a one time nuke to get Pokemon like Celesteela and Ferrothorn with Icium Z or Magearna and Krilowatt with Groundium Z. separate these out into two sentences, one for Icium and one for Groundium. Usage Tips
========

These usage tips need to focus on how to position Syclant into a sweep, and how to get the most out of clant if it cannot sweep.

Due to how frail Syclant is it best to keep it from To preserve Syclant's Focus Sash, refrain from switching it directly into an attack. The best way to bring it is from a slow pivot like Landorus-T and Mega Scizor, a predicted switch or from a Pokemon fainting. Syclant does not take priority attacks well from Mega Scizor, so it is best to U-turn on a predicted switch into them and take care of these Pokemon before setting up with Tail Glow and sweep. this sentence needs to be expanded - you use U-turn to force in syclant's checks like Mega Scizor and Arghonaut so that a teammate can safely switch in and pressure them Make sure Spikes and Toxic Spikes are off the field before Syclant comes in so it can preserve its Focus Sash to set up. move this point after the second sentence It can be used late game to sweep after one Tail Glow boost once all threats are cleared. this point needs to be expanded as well. For Focus Sash variants, once all but one faster threat and bulky checks are clear, you force one more switch for Tail Glow to boost and sweep. For Z variants, you need to clear all faster threats and all bulky checks. Use U-turn early game to wear down Syclant's checks as it is easily spammed thanks to its high Speed and can gain momentum for the team.

Psychic-types like Mega Medicham, Tapu Lele and Mega Alakazam can break down Steel-type Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Celesteela in order for Syclant to sweep. Taunt can be used to stop Spikes users like Arghonaut, Leech Seed Users like Ferrothorn you aren't staying in on Ferrothorn which Gyro balls Syclant to the next dimension, or stop a Pokemon from setting up like Gyarados. However, this means it has to drop a move like Earthquake and cannot take care of Fire-types like Heatran. Stone Edge can be used to hit Pokemon like Kyurem-B, and Mega Charizard Y, however, this means that Syclant has to drop Earth Power / Earthquake which makes it miss on hitting Pokemon like Heatran and Volkraken Stone Edge literally hits Volkraken as hard as Earthquake does, replace with Toxapex and other Steel-types.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Arghonaut**: Arghonaut walls Syclant completely as it takes any attack Syclant can do to it and negates Tail Glow boost thanks to its ability Unaware. mention that if Syclant doesn't U-turn against it, Argho gets free spikes

Make a "faster Pokemon" section here - include Greninja, tapu koko, Mega alakazam, weavile, and merge the choice scarf section below with the addition of add in Scarf Volk and Scarf Lele

**Fire-types**: since we're making a section above with Scarf Volkraken in it, I want this section to be about how volkraken, volcarona and heatran threaten Band Syclant locked into an ice attack, then talk about how Volcarona can use special variants to setup against, and then talk about pyroak. also move under Steel-types Due to its horrible weakness to Fire-types, Pokemon like Choice Scarf Volkraken can revenge kill any set of Syclant, but fears Earth Power / Earthquake from it as well as being worn down by hazards. Heatran can check Choice Band Syclant, although it fears Earthquake from it. Pyroak can take care of Syclant because of its bulk, as it can take any move that Syclant uses, but it is easily worn by hazards.

**Steel-types**: Steel-type Pokemon like Celesteela, Mega Scizor, and Ferrothorn easily wall Focus Sash Syclant and can easily take care of it with their Steel-type attacks. However, Celesteela and Ferrothorn don’t like taking Life Orb or Choice Band Syclant’s Ice-type moves due to taking neutral damage to them. Assault Vest Magearna can easily tank Earth Power and OHKO Syclant, but it is threatened immensely by Earthquake.

**Priority**: Priority moves like add in Revenankh here Sucker Punch from Mega Mawile and Colossoil, or Bullet Punch from Cawmodore you mention Mega Scizor the entire analysis and you pick Cawmodore??? can take care of Syclant due to its frail defenses after a bit of prior damage. move priority up to under faster Pokemon

**Choice Scarf Pokemon**: Choice Scarf Pokemon like Kitsunoh and Jumbao outpace Syclant and can take care of it with their STAB moves.

To be clear, the order of these needs to be arghonaut, faster Pokemon, priority, steel-types, fire-types

[OVERVIEW]

Syclant has a good mixed offensive stats, a good movepool and a fantastic Speed stat that outpaces most Pokemon in the metagame as it Speed ties with Tornadus-T and outspeeds Mega Crucibelle. It has a great offensive typing that allows it to threaten many Pokemon in the metagame with its STAB attacks like Mega Latios, Landorus-T, and Zygarde and with its Ground coverage from moves like Earthquake, and Earth Power allows Syclant to take care of many Pokemon it could not with its STAB moves like Heatran, Mega Crucibelle, and Toxapex. This sentence is a really convoluted way to get across that its Ice + Ground + Bug coverage is really effective, I'd like to see it fixed Its unique ability Mountaineer furthers helps it as this allows it to have a Stealth Rock immunity. U-turn goes nicely with Syclant's high Speed as it is able to pressure most of its switch-ins while gaining momentum for the team. Move U-turn before Mountaineer It has access to Spikes, which can be put down to pressure Pokemon and limit how many times they can switch. It also has access to the priority move Ice Shard, which allows its Choice Band set to take care of weakened or frail sweepers like Shell Smash Necturna. Move Ice Shard before Spikes It also has a setup option in Tail Glow which allows it to sweep. However, it has thin defenses, as priority moves from Mega Scizor and Mega Mawile can easily take care of it, and it cannot switch well to most attacks. It also has a poor defensive typing that leaves it with many crippling weaknesses to Pokemon like Choice Scarf Jumbao, Volkraken remove Volkraken here, you mention it in the next sentence, Tornadus-T, and Celesteela. Furthermore, Syclant can easily revenge killed by faster Pokemon like Greninja, Tapu Koko, Mega Alakazam, and Choice Scarfers like Kitsunoh and Volkraken. Syclant has a hard time against Arghonaut, as it can take any of Syclant's attacks and wall it. It also faces competition from Greninja due to its higher Speed, wider movepool, and its ability Protean.

Syclant's Earthquake is key for it to be able to hit Poison- and Fire-types super effectively like Toxapex and Heatran. Ice Shard is mainly used to OHKO boosted Shell Smash Necturna. It can also be used to hit weaken Pokemon late game that is in range of its Ice Shard. Superpower can be ran over Earthquake to allow Syclant to hit Chansey and maintains coverage for Heatran, but leaves Syclant walled by Toxapex.

Choice Band allows Syclant to maximize U-turn's damage as Syclant pivots out and allows Syclant to OHKO a boosted Necturna with Ice Shard. A Jolly Nature is key for outspeeding Pokemon like Mega Latias and Mega Crucibelle. Mountaineer is the preferred ability to prevent Syclant from taking Stealth Rock damage.

Usage Tips
========

Use U-turn early game if it cannot take care of the Pokemon in front of it and to see what the opponent's answer to Syclant is. U-turn is its main way of getting damage off and gaining momentum for the team from Pokemon from Syclant threatens like Colossoil and Mega Latios. It also U-turns on Arghonaut to get in a Pokemon that threatens it to avoid Arghonaut setting up Spikes. Try to get Syclant in on a predicted switch, a Pokemon fainting or from a pivot Pokemon like Krilowatt and Tornadus-T as Syclant cannot take attacks well however Syclant can switch into weaker attacks like Specially defensive Pajantom's Spirit Shackle or Zygarde's Thousand Arrows in a pinch. Use Earthquake on a predicted switch into Heatran or Toxapex. Make sure that there are no Spikes on the field as these will slowly wear down Syclant. Taking care of Priority Pokemon like Mega Mawile and Colossoil should be prioritized because it will severely weaken or KO Syclant due to its frail defenses.

Teams that want a Choice Scarf user such as? that doesn't outspeed Necturna like Band Syclant so that Shell Smash Necturna is covered. Rapid Spinners and Defog users like Tomohawk and Tornadus-T and are good to pair with Syclant to get rid of Spikes for it. move hazard removers to the bottom since hazards are less of an issue for clant Entry Hazards from Ferrothorn and Clefable is nice because it allows Syclant to further pressure switch-ins and limit how many times a Pokemon can switch. Ash-Greninja appreciates the pressure Syclant places on Jumbao, Tangrowth, and Toxapex. Fire-types like Volkraken and Heatran help with troubling Steel-types like Celesteela and Ferrothorn for Syclant. Psychic-type wallbreakers like Mega Alakazam, Tapu Lele and Mega Medicham appreciate Syclant's ability to force switches and bring them in with U-turn. Mega Alakazam and Tapu Lele also appreciates the fact that Syclant forces damage on Steel-types checks. U-turn and Volt Switch users like Mega Crucibelle, Tornadus-T and Krilowatt can help get Syclant in safely as well from a powerful offensive core with Syclant. Syclant can take care of Fire- and Poison-types like Heatran and Toxapex with Earthquake. Earth Power can be used over Earthquake to get KOs that Earthquake cannot such as Naviathan and Mega Mawile.

Set Details

Its Naive Nature allows Syclant to outpace Pokemon such as Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle. Life Orb is Syclant's main item of choice to further its damage output in order to 2HKO Toxapex and Assault Vest Magearna with Earthquake and Mega Crucibelle with Earth Power. Focus Sash can be used to guarantee one layer of Spikes or to stop a boosted sweeper like Hawlucha.

Usage Tips
========

Do not directly switch into Syclant this statement is absolute - sometimes it's necessary to switch it in. Say that you can switch it into SpDef Paj's SS, Zygarde's thousand arrows, and mega crucibelle's head smash as it is very frail, allow to come in either by a pivot Pokemon, a predicted switch or from a Pokemon fainting. Syclant can set up Spikes on a predicted switch because it pressures Pokemon like Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle, or when Syclant's Focus Sash is not needed for an emergency stop to set up sweepers like Hawlucha, Cawmodore, and a weakened Aurumoth, however Syclant most be wary about Arghonaut as if Syclant does not U-turn on it switching in, it will get down a layer of Spikes Arghonaut will get a free turn to recover or set its own Spikes. Use U-turn allows Syclant to pivot out of Arghonaut as well as early game to gain momentum as well as see what the opponent's check to Syclant is. Try to knock out priority Pokemon as its frail defenses will leave it heavily damaged or KOed from the likes of Sucker Punch from Mega Mawile and Mega Scizor's Bullet Punch. this set needs to be wary of using U-turn when there's a ferrothorn, since LO + Iron Barbs adds up quick and Iron Barbs breaks sash

Team Options
========

Slower Pivots like Landorus-T, and Mega Scizor is good to pair with this Pokemon because of their slow U-turn which allows Syclant to not get damaged. Stealth Rock users like Ferrothorn, Tomohawk, and Clefable are nice to pair with Syclant as this pressure switch-ins and limits how many times a Pokemon can switch. Psychic-types like Tapu Lele, Mega Medicham and Mega Alakazam which can help with Ferrothorn, and Celesteela and both appreciate Syclant thanks to its U-turn and the Spikes it sets up. Fire-types like Volkraken and Heatran help with Pokemon that Syclant cannot touch well like Celesteela and Mega Scizor. U-turn allows Syclant to pivot from Arghonaut and gain momentum for the team due to pressuring Pokemon like Mega Latias, Mega Medicham and Landorus-T as well as lure out Syclant's checks to get in a Pokemon that can pressure it and bluff Syclant's other sets. crossed out the redundant part

Set Details

A Timid Nature ensures that Syclant is able to outpace Pokemon like Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle, and Timid nature is also used because U-turn's damage is less important. Focus Sash makes sure that Syclant can get a guaranteed setup of Tail Glow or prevent its sweep from ending. It also can be used as a safety net against set up sweepers if Syclant cannot find a chance to boost. Icium Z can be used as a one time nuke to OHKO get Pokemon like Celesteela and Ferrothorn at +3. Groundium Z can be used to OHKO Pokemon it usually cannot like Assault Vest Magearna at +3 and Krilowatt unboosted.

Usage Tips
========

To preserve Syclant's Focus Sash sweeping later in the game, refrain from switching it directly into an attack. The best way to bring it is from a slow pivot like Landorus-T and Mega Scizor, a predicted switch or from a Pokemon fainting. Make sure Spikes and Toxic Spikes are off the field before Syclant comes in so it can preserve its Focus Sash to set up. Syclant does not take priority attacks well from Mega Scizor, and gets walled by Arghonaut so it is best to U-turn on a predicted switch into them and get a teammate to take care of these Pokemon before setting up with Tail Glow and sweep. If Syclant cannot set up because of many threats, it is best to use it to threaten Pokemon like Mega Latios, and Mega Crucibelle. It can be used late game to sweep after one Tail Glow boost once, but for Focus Sash variants make sure that all but one faster threat and bulky Pokemon that check Syclant are gone as it can sweep. If Syclant is running a Z move make sure that all faster threats and bulky checks are taken care of before attempting to sweep.

Team Options
========

Pivots like Landorus-T, Tornadus-T, and Mega Scizor allows Syclant to come in safely thanks to their U-turn. Magnezone is also useful as a pivot thanks to Volt Switch but is also useful for trapping troublesome Steel-types for Syclant like Mega Scizor, Ferrothorn, and Celesteela. Electric-types like Tapu Koko and Krilowatt can form a VoltTurn core with Syclant to take care of each other threats. Psychic-types like Mega Medicham, Tapu Lele and Mega Alakazam can break down Steel-type Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Celesteela in order for Syclant to sweep. Offensive Pokemon like Ash-Greninja and Mega Crucibelle are good to pair with Syclant as both appreciate the U-turn support from it and Ash-Greninja can also set Spikes for Syclant so it can pressure switch in even further. Rapid Spinners and Defoggers like Tomohawk, Tornadus-T, and Landorus-T can keep Spikes off the field that pressure Syclant from coming in which it appreciates.

add in Chansey and say it walls LO/sash variants but has a harder time dealing with band and TG

Taunt can be used to stop Spikes users like Arghonaut or stop a Pokemon from setting up like Gyarados. However, this means it has to drop a move like Earthquake and cannot take care of Fire-types like Heatran. Stone Edge can be used to hit Pokemon like Kyurem-B [RC] and Mega Charizard Y; [semicolon --> comma] however, this means that Syclant has to drop Earth Power / or Earthquake, [AC] which makes it miss out on hitting Pokemon like Heatran, Toxapex, Magnezone, [AC] and Kitsunoh.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Arghonaut**: Arghonaut walls Syclant completely and negates Syclant's Tail Glow boost thanks to its ability Unaware. If Syclant does not U-turn against Arghonaut, as Arghonaut will set its own spikes Spikes.

**Priority**: Priority moves and abilities like Revenankh's Triage Drain Punch from Triage Revenankh [parallelism], Sucker Punch from Mega Mawile and or Colossoil, or and Bullet Punch from Mega Scizor can take care of Syclant after a bit of prior damage due to its frail defenses after a bit of prior damage. [the original sentence implied that its defenses were only frail after some damage]

**Bulky Attackers**: Bulky attackers like Kyurem-B, Gyarados, Suicune, Snaelstrom, [AC] and Mega Swampert can take any attack from Syclant and set up or retaliate it back. [retaliate implies a returned attack]

**Steel-types**: Steel-type Pokemon like Celesteela, Mega Scizor, and Ferrothorn easily wall Focus Sash Syclant and can easily take care of it with their Steel-type attacks. However, Celesteela and Ferrothorn don’t like taking Life Orb or Choice Band Syclant’s Ice-type moves due to taking neutral damage to from them. Assault Vest Magearna can easily tank Earth Power and OHKO Syclant, but it is threatened immensely by Earthquake.

**Fire-types**: Due to its double 4x weakness to Fire-types attacks and inability to use STAB moves to deal with them Fire-types, Scylant Syclant finds itself checked and revenge killed rather easily while choice locked Choice-locked and finds itself easy to be revenge killed as well [added this to the previous part for concision]. This forces 50/50s when deciding creates mind games when Syclant decides on using an Ice-type attack or not in a match. An example of a Fire-type that stops Scylant Syclant from freely clicking using these attacks is Volcarona, [AC] as it can easily switch into Scylant Syclant and start setting up.

**Chansey**: Chansey can wall Syclant's Focus Sash and Life Orb variants; [comma --> semicolon] however, Chansey has a harder time against Choice Band and Tail Glow variants of Syclant.

[OVERVIEW]

Syclant has good mixed offensive stats, a good movepool, and a fantastic Speed stat that outpaces lets it outpace most Pokemon in the metagame like Mega Crucibelle and lets it Speed tie with Tornadus-T. Its Ice / Bug typing works great offensively in the metagame, allowing it to hit huge threats in the tier such as Mega Latios and Landorus-T with its super effective STAB attacks. Its unique ability Mountaineer gives it a useful Stealth Rock immunity, (comma) Syclant also has whereas access to the priority move Ice Shard, which allows its Choice Band set to take care of weakened or frail sweepers like Shell Smash Necturna. It has access to Spikes, which can be put down to pressure Pokemon and limit how many times they can switch, (comma) It also has and a setup option in Tail Glow, which allows it to sweep.

(reword the first couple sentence to include a mention of what role(s) it performs, I can't easily tell right now and that stuff really should be clear right away)

Moves

Syclant's Earthquake is key for it to be able enables it to hit Poison- and Fire-types like Toxapex and Heatran super effectively. Ice Shard is mainly used to OHKO boosted Shell Smash Necturna, (AC) and can also be used as well as to hit weakened Pokemon late-game that are in range of its Ice Shard. Superpower can be run over Earthquake to allow Syclant to hit Chansey and maintain coverage for Heatran, but this leaves Syclant walled by Toxapex.

Set Details
========

Choice Band allows Syclant to maximize U-turn's damage as Syclant it pivots out and allows it to OHKO a boosted Necturna with Ice Shard. A Jolly nature is key for outspeeding Pokemon like Mega Latias and Mega Crucibelle. Mountaineer is the preferred ability to prevent Syclant from taking Stealth Rock damage.

Usage Tips
========

Use Earthquake on a predicted switch into to Heatran or Toxapex. Make sure that there are no Spikes on the field, as these will slowly wear down Syclant. Taking care of priority move users like Mega Mawile and Colossoil should be prioritized because they can severely weaken or KO Syclant due to its frail poor defenses.

Team Options
========

Teams that want a Choice Scarf user like Magnezone, which that does not outspeed Necturna, such as Magnezone, like Choice Band Syclant because it covers Shell Smash Necturna for its ability to cover it. Entry hazards from Ferrothorn and Clefable are nice because they allow Syclant to further pressure switch-ins and limit how many times a foe can switch. Ash-Greninja appreciates the pressure Syclant places on Jumbao, Tangrowth, and Toxapex. Fire-types like Volkraken and Heatran help with troubling Steel-types like Celesteela and Ferrothorn for Syclant. U-turn and Volt Switch users like Mega Crucibelle, Tornadus-T, and Krilowatt can help get Syclant in safely and form a powerful offensive core with Syclant it. These two (there's 3 of them) Pokemon can take care of Pokemon that Syclant struggles with like Tapu Koko and Celesteela. Rapid Spinners and Defoggers like Tomohawk and Tornadus-T and are also good to pair with Syclant to get rid of Spikes for it.

Moves

Syclant can take care of Fire- and Poison-types like Heatran and Toxapex with Earthquake. Earth Power can be used over Earthquake to get KOs that Earthquake cannot, such as against Naviathan and Mega Mawile.

Set Details
========

A Naive nature allows Syclant to outpace Pokemon such as Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle. Life Orb is Syclant's main item of choice to further its damage output in order to 2HKO Toxapex and Assault Vest Magearna with Earthquake and (OHKO?) Mega Crucibelle with Earth Power. Focus Sash can be used to guarantee one layer of Spikes or to stop a boosted sweeper like Hawlucha.

Usage Tips
========

Try not to directly switch into in Syclant unless it is into Mega Crucibelle's Head Smash or a weaker attack like a specially defensive Pajantom's Spirit Shackle, as it is very frail. Instead, allow Syclant to come in either by a pivot Pokemon, on a predicted switch, or from a Pokemon fainting. Syclant can set up Spikes on a predicted switch because it pressures Pokemon like Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle or when Syclant's its Focus Sash is not needed as to provide an emergency stop to setup sweepers like Hawlucha, Cawmodore, and a weakened Aurumoth. Try to knock out priority Pokemon users, as its frail Syclant's poor defenses will leave it heavily damaged or KOed from the likes of Sucker Punch from Mega Mawile and Bullet Punch from Mega Scizor. It must also be wary of using U-turn when there is a Ferrothorn on the opposing team, as recoil from Life Orb and Iron Barbs wears down Syclant and breaks Focus Sash if Syclant is not running Life Orb.

Team Options
========

Slower pivots like Landorus-T and Mega Scizor are good to pair with this Pokemon because of their slow U-turn, which allows Syclant to not get avoid getting damaged. Stealth Rock users in general like Ferrothorn, Tomohawk, and Clefable are nice to pair with Syclant, as Stealth Rock the chip damage pressures and limits switch-ins. Psychic-types like Tapu Lele, Mega Medicham, and Mega Alakazam can help with Ferrothorn and Celesteela, (AC) and both appreciate Syclant thanks to its U-turn and Spikes. Fire-types like Volkraken and Heatran help with Pokemon that Syclant cannot touch well like Celesteela and Mega Scizor. Electric-types like Krilowatt and Tapu Koko can form a VoltTurn core with Syclant and appreciate Spikes support.

Moves
========

Set Details
========

A Timid nature ensures that Syclant is able to outpace Pokemon like Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle, and the Attack drop is insignificant because U-turn's damage is less important. Focus Sash makes sure that Syclant can get a guaranteed setup of Tail Glow boost or prevents its sweep from ending. It also can be used as a safety net against setup sweepers if Syclant cannot find a chance to boost. Icium Z can be run to use Subzero Slammer as a one-time (AH) nuke to OHKO Pokemon like Celesteela and Ferrothorn at +3. Groundium Z can be used to OHKO Pokemon that Syclant usually cannot, (AC) like taking out Assault Vest Magearna at +3 and Krilowatt unboosted with Tectonic Rage.

Usage Tips
========

Syclant does not take Mega Scizor's priority attacks well from Mega Scizor and gets walled by Arghonaut, so it is best to use U-turn on a predicted switch into them if they're predicted to switch in and get a teammate to take care of these Pokemon before setting up with Tail Glow and sweeping. If Syclant cannot set up because of many threats, it is best to use it to threaten Pokemon like Mega Latios and Mega Crucibelle. It can be used late-game to sweep after one Tail Glow boost, but for Focus Sash variants make sure that all but one faster threat and bulky Pokemon that check Syclant are gone as it can sweep. If Syclant is running a Z-Move, make sure that all faster threats and bulky checks are taken care of before attempting to sweep.

Team Options
========

Pivots like Landorus-T, Tornadus-T, and Mega Scizor allow Syclant to come in safely thanks to their U-turn. Magnezone is also useful as a pivot thanks to Volt Switch, (AC) but is also useful as well as for trapping troublesome Steel-types for Syclant like Mega Scizor, Ferrothorn, and Celesteela. Offensive Pokemon like Ash-Greninja and Mega Crucibelle are good to pair with Syclant, as both appreciate the its U-turn support, (AC) from it and Ash-Greninja can also set Spikes for Syclant so that it can pressure switch-ins even further. Rapid Spinners and Defoggers like Tomohawk, Tornadus-T, and Landorus-T can keep Spikes off the field, which Syclant appreciates.

Taunt can be used to stop Spikes users like Arghonaut or a Pokemon from setting up setup sweepers like Gyarados. However, this means it Syclant has to drop a move like Earthquake (awkward wording, also feel free to change to "Ground-type coverage" if that works better) and cannot can no longer take care of Fire-types like Heatran.
