So, we need hazard control and it would be nice to has a mon faster than 111, a Dragon-type to fill out a Dragon/Steel/Fairy core, a Knock Off clone, and an Earthquake switchin. Hydreigon is all of that rolled into one. Defog is very important for keeping Marowak healthy and since both of the usable Housekeeping users are part Fairy (unless you want to Cinccino (which isn't a super-super-duper terrible idea)), we don't want to stack weaknesses or anything when adding our hazard control. The Agony Boots allow Hydreigon to reach 430 Speed, outspeeding the whole unboosted metagame (including Zeraora's 423), as well as Agony Boots 95s and Scarfed 80s (tying with Scarfed 81s). Draco is its strongest STAB and murders every Dragon down here not named Mega Altaria, Dark Pulse is also STAB and great for Gengar, which kinda bodies us if it doesn't get TWave'd, as well as Alakazam, Blacephalon, and Espeon. Incinerate removes items and hits Steel, Grass, and Ice-types more freely than Marowak can since it doesn't have Rock Head.
Other options for this slot include U-Turn, Roost, and Earth Power.

Latias is the team's hazard remover. It has great base 110 speed and special attack stats, and it also serves as an extra check to Fighting types like Mega Lopunny and Mega Heracross. Healing Wish can be used to bring in a weakened teammate, though Sylveon's Wish helps with that too. Latias' high special bulk allows it to tank special attacks to support Sylveon, the other special tank.

Before anyone points it out, Latias is listed as being UUBL. However, upon seeing this, I remembered that Latias being UUBL was a mistake (we accidentally put it there when making the list instead of just Latios and its Mega), but forgot about it until it was brought up here. So, because it was a mistake on our part, consider Latias to be UU's first drop, I guess, which means that this is a legal sub. (Mega Latias is still UUBL tho)

But we aren't quite done yet, as you can see in the sets, there are some slashed moves and, now that we have a full team, changes can be made. So, discuss any changes you want to be made either here or on Discord, and I encourage you to test out this team and others (I'll post a couple my older teams below). Soon, there will be a UU roomtour or mini-forum tour (depending on if Dragon Heaven wants to be nice with roomtours).

So, big news, we've finally made a Viability Ranking relevant to the current metagame.
Now keep in mind, these are likely super inaccurate and for that reason, we would love discussion on it.

And as for what's happening soon, we're planning a UU Roomtour/Discord tour soon, so stay tuned!

Let's cut right to the chase, on Monday October 29th, we will hold a SylveMons UU tournament at around 6 PM EST (time subject to change). Since Dragon Heaven's roomtour system is kinda dead right now, the bracket will be on Challonge. You won't need an account to participate, just show up on dragonheaven.psim.us and tell me that you're joining the tournament and I'll manually add you in.

Alright, the SylveMons UU Tour that we've been forgetting about WILL be today, WILL be very soon (starts once we have ~6 participants and we already have 3) and WILL be a Round Robin Tournament. A Challonge bracket with info will be linked shortly (no you don;t need a challonge account)
https://challonge.com/sylvemonstouur Just ask to be added once you get on the Dragon Heaven

The Pet Mods Grand Slam is finally over, so as one thing ends, another begins anew

SUBS ARE OPEN

The Submission phase allows you to submit additions to the OU metagame. There are are four categories: Abilities, Moves, Items, and Pokemon Adjustments. You may submit up to 4 additions per category. Please also put all of your submissions into one post. The Voting phase lets people vote on which additions should be added to the metagame! You may vote for 6 additions per category. There will be at least two winners in each category. The Distribution Discussion is for discussing what should get access to the winning moves and abilities. When this phase ends, the council will determine what should get access to the winning abilities and moves.

Templates are in the OP

*sprite*
Pokemon:
New Typing (if any):
New Abilities (if any):
Move Additions (if any):

Also, we have some announcement.
Firstly, Flamethrower will be removed from Serperior, just to get that out of the way
More importantly, we'll have a new system of implementation that we'll looking to try out:
For 3 months, we'll have submission phases as normal. But, instead of the changes being directly coded into the main SylveMons Metagame, a test metagame will be created on Dragon Heavan (assuming charizard8888 agrees to do that for us) where the new changes will go. This allows all of us to test out the changes, check for bugs, and see if they're broken while allowing us to do tournaments using a more stable metagame. At the end of the 3 months, all of the changes are added to the main metagame, we'll possibly host a tournament akin to a seasonal and new cycle will begin. This first cycle will end in March.

Consider the resources when making subs to see how the metagame already is.
With that said, happy subbing!
