Name: Poison Sting Existing Move?: Y Category: Physical Type: Poison BP: 40 PP: 32 Effect: 30% chance to Poison (Should it be reduced?) Priority: +1 Misc.: None Z-Move: 100 Niche: Poison Priority Potential Pokemon With This Move: Old distribution?
Name: Will-o-Wisp / Thunder Wave / Confuse Ray / Leech Seed / Hypnosis / Supersonic Existing Move?: Y (All) Category: Status Type: Unchanged PP: Unchanged Effect: Can't miss if the user is the same type as the move (Kinda like Toxic) Priority: 0 Misc.: Unchanged Z-Move: Unchanged Niche: Allows for less RNG when it comes to missing these moves. Potential Pokemon With This Move:
Will-o-Wisp: Every Fire or Ghost type. Perhaps Celesteela too. Thunder Wave: Every Electric-Type, as well as robot-like Pokémon (Golurk, Magearna, Genesect, etc) Confuse Ray: Every Psychic and Ghost type. Some things with Flash can work too, but that's more debatable. Leech Seed: Leafeon, Cradily line, Bellsprout line, Flabebé line. Hypnosis: Keep the current list, but also suspect Ralts line and Musharna. They may need to lose the move for balance's sake. Otherwise, very few Psychic mons get Hypnosis. Supersonic: Old distribution + Audino.
Name: Dragon Rage / Sonic Boom / Psywave Existing Move?: Y Category: Special Type: Dragon / Normal / Psychic PP: Unchanged Effect: Seismic Toss clones Priority: 0 Misc.: Unchanged Z-Move: Unchanged Niche: Allows for many more stally mons to rise. Specially after redistribution Potential Pokemon With This Move:
Dragon Rage: Every Dragon-Type + Every mon on the Dragon Egg Group Sonic Boom: AUDINO. You know, the thing based on audio who would actually benefit from this? Anything with Boomburst or Thunder Clap should also get it. Also, Tympole Line and Meloetta. Psywave: Current distribution?
Dragon-Type mons that currently lack Dragon Rage: Altaria, Dialga, Dragalge, Exeggutor-A, Flygon, Giratina, Goomy line, Jangmo-o Line, Latios, Latias, Naganadel, Noibat line, Palkia, Rayquaza, Turtonator, Tyrunt line, Zygarde, Yanmega
Dragon Egg Group that currently lack Dragon Rage: Ekans line, Magikarp, Treecko Line, Swablu line, Seviper, Feebas line, Scraggy line, Skrelp line, Helioptile line, Tyrunt line, Goomy line, Turtonator, Jangmo-o line
Has Boomburst but lacks Sonic Boom: Chatot, Exploud, Noivern, Pikipek line, Taillow line
Has Thunder Clap but lacks Sonic Boom: Electivire, Hariyama, Eelektrik and Eelektross, Golett line, Rhyhorn line, Ponyta line, Blitzle line, Mudbray line, Tauros, Bouffalant, Tyranitar, Raikou, Exploud, Geodude-A line, Shinx line, Zekrom, Klink line
Name: Astonish Existing Move?: Y Category: Physical Type: Ghost BP: 40 PP: 24 Effect: 100% flinch chance Priority: +3 Misc.: First turn only Z-Move: 100 BP Niche: Allows for a Ghost-Type Fake Out clone on much needed things. Potential Pokemon With This Move: Current distribution is fine. Maybe Stakataka to fit the new Ghost-Type.
Name: Drizzle / Drought / Snow Warning / Sand Stream Existing Ability?: Y Effect: Fire and Water Types no longer take damage from Hail. Ice Types gain a 1.5x Def boost under Hail. All other effects are unchanged Niche: Redistribution reasons. Hail teams now have more options to use, as two new types are immune to the chip damage and Ice finally gains a boost under it. Potential Pokemon With This Ability:
Sand Stream: Pallossand line?, Flygon, Onix Line (-Rock Head)
Drizzle: Vaporeon, Mega Slowbro, Lugia? | Wingull, Zekrom?
Drought: Flareon, Magcargo line, Rapidash, Sunflora | Reshiram
Snow Warning: Glaceon, all Kyurems, Cryogonal, maybe Articuno for viability.
Name: Electric / Misty / Psychic / Grassy Surge Existing Ability?: Y Effect: Misty boosts Fairy moves by a 1.5x factor. All other effects are unchanged Niche: Redistribution reasons. Misty was the only terrain to not boost it's respective type, so it gained that. Potential Pokemon With This Ability:
Electric: Jolteon, Voltorb line, Mareep line
Misty: Sylveon, Flabebé line, Spritzee line
Psychic: Espeon, Drowzee line
Grassy: Leafeon, Skiddo line, Leavanny Line
Name: Download Existing Ability?: Y Effect: Raises user's highest attacking stat upon switching in Niche: Makes things that run Download not need to rely on the foe to gain the boost. Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Robot-like mons (Golurk line, maybe Magearna, Klinklang line), maybe Regular Rotom seeing by how it posseses eletronic devices.
Name: Normalize Existing Ability?: Y Effect: Doubles the power of this Pokémon's Normal-type moves Niche: Araquanid is relevant mainly because of Water Bubble. This is a Normal-Type clone of that ability (Minus the non-Burn and Fire-Reduction part), and things with it may rise quite a lot Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Rodents from the first route, Persian-K line, Girafarig, Dunsparce, Lopunny line, Furfrou
Name: Ring Target Existing Item?: Y Effect: If a Pokémon holds this item, it will ignore any type-based immunity Fling Effect: 10 Removable via Knock Off?: Y Ignored by Klutz?: Y Niche: Allows for an item version of Scrappy for whoever may want it.
New Type:
Spring: Fairy / Grass
Winter: Ice / Grass
Summer: Fire / Grass
Autumn: Ghost / Grass
Rationale: Changes type to match the season. Also gives them something different from eachother. Competitive Value:
Spring: Physical Misty Terrain setter. Not much to talk about here that you can't see
Winter: Better version of Physical Abomasnow, doesn't take up the Mega slow
Summer: Amazing type combo and has great coverage. Solid Sun abuser (Specially since Sun has barely any Physical setters currently)
Autumn: Hits hard with Shadow Charge and has some cool nieche over Spring/Summer with Priority STAB.
New Type: Grass / Normal, Fire / Normal, Water / Normal
Most moves here are the ones a lot of Normal-Type mons get.
(Itallic means Pre evos don't get it) All: Earthquake, Hyper Voice, Ice Beam/Punch , Psychic, Pursuit, Shadow Ball, Close Combat, Zen Headbutt, Belly Drum, Blizzard, Thunder/Bolt, Last Resort, Quick Attack, Swords Dance, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Heal Bell, U-Turn, Tri Attack, Double Hit, Stomping Tantrum, Wild Charge, Double Kick, Curse, Agility, Stone Edge, Final Gambit, Sucker Punch, Iron Tail, Iron Head, Double-Edge, Fake Out, Encore, Happy Hour, Jump Kick, Slack Off, Earth Power
Sage: Fire Pledge, Water Pledge, Blast Burn, Hydro Cannon (Symbolizes union with the rest of the trio), Boomburst, Parting Shot ("Speak no evil")
Sear: Water Pledge, Grass Pledge, Hydro Cannon, Frenzy Plant (Symbolizes union with the rest of the trio), Perish Song ("Hear no evil"), Burn Up, Flame Bullet
Pour: Grass Pledge, Fire Pledge, Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn (Symbolizes union with the rest of the trio), Glare, Mean Look, Lock On ("See no evil"), Aqua Jet, Liquidation
Ability Additions Simisear: Soundproof ("Hear no evil")
(I do plan on something for the other two)
Rationale: Early route mons, and their pallete and design also scream Normal. Competitive Value: Normal-Type mons get a huge movepool most of the time. This carries over to the Simis too, now being much more versatile and less predictable. All of them can run a Z-Happy Hour set, gained Priority, Fake Out and heavy coverage (As well as a way to pivot), with better set-up options (They're mixed mons with Nasty Plot but no SD for some reason).
Simisage: Probably the best of the 3, as it gains Boomburst (Due to "Speak no evil"), coupled with strong Grass hits due to Overgrow, and gains some coverage to go along with it.
Simisear: Resists Stakataka's STABs and hits it back hard with pratically any Fire move it wants (Watch out for Equake / Stone Edge tho). It also has a Soundproof Perish Song gimmick, tho that's a bit less relevant.
Simipour: Has utility in Glare, also resists Stakataka's STABs.
New Type: Ground / Bug New Moves: Twineedle?*, Sticky Web, Leech Life, Pursuit (Antlions are trappers irrc), Quiver Dance*, Power Gem* New Abilities: Sand Stream*, Tinted Lens* (HA) Rationale: They're based on Antlions. Not sure what the hell that has to do with Dragons, like, at ALL. At best, they look like dragonflies, and the actual Dragonfly is already a dragon now anyways. Competitive Value: A brand new type combo is always fun (Well, brand new unless you count Nincada, which I don't). Bug / Ground is only resisted by Flying, which Rock coverage also takes down. It also no longer has to dispute with Garchomp for team slots. With Quiver Dance, it can go Special, with either Tinted Lens or Swarm, it is also pretty hard to take on. It still can go Physical, however, due to Dragon Dance and still good coverage on the Physical side. All in all, just an upgrade to them.
*Trapinch does not gain these moves or abiilities
New Type: Water / Dragon New Moves: Draco Meteor, Outrage, Dragon Rage, Dual Chop, Liquidation, Scald New Abilities: Drizzle? Rationale: The guardian of the sea. Not a water type. Yeah, right. Makes a lot of sense, it's not like if it is a counterpart to a Fire-Type or something. (Dragon was added for better competitive value, and still fits with the design. Lots of things that fly aren't flying anyways) Competitive Value: Much better type defensively. Added Scald allows it to have a much better role with spreading burns as well. Overall, just a solid improvement. If we give it Drizzle, then Ubers would actually have a Rain setter (Since most of the time, Kyogre goes primal)
Name: Mega Launcher (yeah, I still have to add moar shit). Existing Ability?: Yeah Effect: Increases the power of Ballistic, Pulse, "Cannon" and "Blast" related moves by 50%. (List of "cannon", "blast" and extra ballistic moves: Steam Eruption, Flash Cannon, Techno Blast, Fire Blast, Moonblast, Aeroblast, Bullet Fire, Twineedle, Plume Cannon, Draco Meteor, Bullet Punch, Spike Cannon, Fleur Cannon, Meteor Shower, Hydro Cannon, Blast Burn) Niche: I've recently realised that the buff I gave to it wasn't still enough, so I guess this one could help. Potential Pokemon With This Ability: We've already done that lol.
Name: Bulletproof. Existing Ability?: Yeah Effect: Protects the Pokémon from some ball, bomb, cannon and blast moves. (List of "cannon" and "blast" moves: Steam Eruption, Flash Cannon, Techno Blast, Fire Blast, Moonblast, Aeroblast, Bullet Fire, Twineedle, Plume Cannon, Draco Meteor, Bullet Punch, Spike Cannon, Fleur Cannon, Meteor Shower, Hydro Cannon) Niche: Lets the new users of the ability to wall more things. Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Everything that got it before + Rhyperior, Steelix-Mega, Forretress, Donphan, Geodude line, Stakataka maybe?.
Name: Aeroblast. Existing Move?: Yeah Category:
Type:
BP: 90 PP: 10 Effect: 10% chance of lowering the target's SpD. Priority: 0. Misc.: Doesn't make contact. Boosted by Mega Launcer. Z-Move: 175 BP Supersonic Skystrike. Niche: Good Flying STAB for Flying-type special attackers Potential Pokemon With This Move: Every Flying type mon (it's literally Aeroblast, it couldn't be more generic for a special Flying-type move lol), Genesect, idk what more :p
Name: Magnet Bomb / Fire Spin Existing Move?: Yeah Category:
/
Type:
/
BP: 40 PP: 20 Effect: The power of this attack move is doubled if it's used on a target that's switching out of battle. Priority: 0. Misc.: Non of them makes contact. Z-Move: 100 BP Corskrew Crash / Inferno Overdrive Niche: Good moves for removing those pesky Fairy and Steel mons from battle. Potential Pokemon With This Move:
-Magnet Bomb: Everything that got it before + basically any physically offensive oriented mon that needs any good or new niche as a trapper. -Fire Spin: Current distribution is pretty good.
BP: 90 PP: 15 Accuracy: 100% Effect: Ignores stat changes Priority: 0. Misc.: Makes contact. Z-Move: 175 BP Shattered Psyche / All-Out Pummeling / Bloom Doom / Blackhole Eclipse / Savage Spin-Out. Niche: Now these moves are useful STABs that ignore things like Curse, Bulk Up or Stockpile :D (well, in case of Sacred Sword, just wanted to add it to more things). Potential Pokemon With This Move:
-Psycho Cut: Old distribution + Metang line, Azelf, Hoopa (Unbound), Mew. -Sacred Sword: Old distribution + Everything new that got Knight's Blade. -Leaf Blade: Old distribution + Tsareena. -Night Slash: Old distribution + Darkrai, Grimer-Alola line, Escavalier. -X-Scissor: Old distribution is pretty good.
Name: Spike Cannon / Arm Thrust / Beat Up / Tail Slap / Bone Rush Existing Move?: Yeah Category:
(all of them) Type:
/
/
/
/
BP: 25 PP: 15 Accuracy: 100% Effect: Attacks 2-5 times in a row. 37.5% chance of 2 hits. 37.5% chance of 3 hits. 12.5% chance of 4 hits. 12.5% chance of 5 hits. Priority: 0. Misc.: Makes contact. Z-Move: 100 BP Corskrew Crash / All-Out Pummeling / Blackhole Eclipse / Breakneck Blitz / Tectonic Rage Niche: Idk, useful moves for Technician or Skill Link abusers, ig. Potential Pokemon With This Move:
-Spike Cannon: Old Distribution + Everything that gets Spikes, Heracross (Mega). -Arm Thrust: Old distribution + Everything that learns Force Palm. -Beat Up: Old distribution + Everything made of lots of little Pokemons (e.g: Wishiwashi), Pikipek line, Heracross (Mega). -Tail Slap: Old distribution + Buizel line, Pikipek line maybe? -Bone Rush: Idk what else could get it, its original distribution is really weird.
Name: Razor Shell / Fire Lash / Trop Kick / Night Daze Existing Move?: Yeah Category:
/
(Night Daze) Type:
/
/
/
BP: 100 PP: 15 Effect: 50% chance of lowering the target's highest non-HP stat by one stage Priority: 0. Misc.: All of them (except Night Daze) make contact. Z-Move: 180 BP Hydro Vortex / Inferno Overdrive / Bloom Doom / Blackhole Eclipse Niche: Now these signature moves are useful for their users. Potential Pokemon With This Move:
-Razor Shell: Everything that got it before, maybe limiting it to Osshawot line. -Fire Lash: Idk, I think it should be fine only on Heatmor. -Trop Kick: Tsareena, maybe Hitmonlee and Blaziken. -Night Daze: Current distribution is fine.
New Moves: Moonblast, Moonlight. Abilites: Same as before Rationale: Don't say to me that you can't believe it isn't a Fairy mon yet. Competitive Value: Now it has a new niche as a bulky pivot thanks to its fantastic defensive typing Steel/Fairy (sorry Magearna)and new STABs on Play Rough and Moonblast, which lets it to cripple offensive Physical and Special Flying, Dark, Psychic and Ice mons respectebly. The only bad thing is that Fire mons and Toxapex are even more annoying for it offensibly, but they still fear the offences drop, coverage options, or just a U-Turn switch-out.
Name: Howl Existing Move?: Y Category: -- Type: Dark BP: Same PP: Same Effect: Lowers enemy attack by 1, and raises users by 1 Priority: 0 Misc.: None. Sound based for what its worth. If it fails to lower attack, it fails to boost user's. Z-Move: Unchanged Niche: Howl sucks. By being both Growl and a +1 attack, it means setting up in the face of a 'counter' can be a lot easier to pull off. Potential Pokemon With This Move: Current distribution is low, but Arcanine and Entei will sure enjoy this huge buff.
Name: Seed Bomb Existing Move?: Y Category: Unchanged Type: Unchanged BP: Unchanged PP: Unchanged Effect: 50% chance to seed Target. Niche: Leech seeds are sweet, but their ability to be spread is incredibly limited. Potential Pokemon With This Move: Current distribution is good, really good. You might see it on something like Mantine for its seed utility the way Amola uses Scald despite SpAtk being its weaker stat. Leech Seed will be better on mons who can't risk a coin flip and would rather have 40 more accuracy to maintain momentum like Serperior. On the other hand, Amoongus and Virizion don't get Leech Seeds, and for Ferrothorn, while it's weaker than Power Whip, role compresses two moves. If this thing ever had 4mss, it might be a little more solved.
Name: Iron Fist Existing Ability?: Y Effect: On top of a 20% damage boost, punch moves always strike Fairy types Super Effectively Niche: Iron Fist is outclassed fully by Tough Claws. All IF moves are boosted by TC as well. While the moves are more limited, all hitting fairy means that Fire Punch is 4x effective vs. Tapu Bulu and Magerna, Thunder Punch 4x vs Tapu Fini, Ice Punch 4x vs Mega Altaria and Tapu Bulu, and the Fight Moves are enjoying 1 less resistance. It's called IRON fist so it should break cute fairies. Immunities from other types take priority so unless you have foresight, you can't SE Mimikyu with Fight moves. 4x fight moves vs. Magerna and Mawile, a priority fight move as well no less. Potential Pokemon With This Ability: It's disbursement is okay. Pangoro likes how its Dual STAB is far less resistable.
Name: Poison Touch/Battery Existing Ability: Yes Effect: Becomes poison/Electric Steelworker Niche: Not sure it's a nerf over the original. But Seismotoad could score surprise revenge on grassers with great power. If only it had Gunk Shot. Potential Pokémon with Ability: It's distribution is low, but not bad. Maybe Remove Alola Grimer/Muk to give the regular dark-less version a reason to feel useful. It'll get interesting mileage on Seismotoad. Dragalge probably gets better mileage from Adaptability although Acid Melt will hit like a truck. The Poison/Fight frog has better things to do with the always awesome Dry Skin.
As for Battery, certainly needs more options than Charjabug, probably its evolution. But what else? Magnezone? Rotoms?....... Zapdos? Maybe Porygon line?
Name: Mineralize/Ferrate/Fertilize/Liquidate Existing Abilities: No Effect: -ate/ize for Rock, Steel, Grass and Water Niche: Same as other ate abilities. Potential Pokémon: Mostly this is meant to let the musketeers stand out, though Terrakion with Return and Quick Attack is the biggest winner. Keldeo gets Z-Normal Hyper Beam, assuming Z-Hyper Beam actually gets the type change. The defensive musketeers could use it, though it would likely entice a more physical spread from them.
Others? I'm thinking Geodude-K line for Rock, Durant and Stakataka for steel, Grass would have... Cacturne, it's really hard to say? and Water? There's a lot of water types that need some help.
Name: Persistence Existing Ability?: N Effect: When the user has a stat lowered, they raise their Speed two stages (Clone of Defiant and Competitive). Niche: Aids speed-control, synergises with Stored Power and Power Trip and punishes Intimidate and certain moves. Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Heliolisk, Ninetails, Rapidash, Tyrantrum, Vigoroth.
Name: Chink Finder Existing Ability?: N Effect: Raises the user’s Critical Hit Ratio two stages upon entering the battlefield.
Niche: Synergises with high crit ratio moves and helps defeat walls.
Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Bisharp, Ninjask, Accelgor, Croagunk.
Name: Unfettered Existing Ability?: N Effect: The user is never fully paralysed, cannot be trapped and cannot be Disabled. Niche: Protects you from losing momentum, being trapped or wasting a turn. Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Primeape, Cofafrigas, Golurk, Dhelmise, Muk, Eel-like pokemon, Spiritomb
Name: Debris Existing Ability?: N Effect: When this pokemon faints, it sets a layer of spikes. Niche: Helps suicide leads, lets hazard setters guarantee hazard setting and provides a way of discouraging an opponent from knocking out a pokemon without first considering consequences. Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Golem, Steelix, Spiritomb, Shedinja, Conkeldur, Agron, Gigilith, Sableye, Carbink, Rhyperior, Solrock, Lunatone, Minior, Magcargo
(Was encouraged to resubmit this)
Name: Rabid Fang Existing Move?: N Category: Physical Type: Water PP: 15 Effect: 40 BP. 30% chance to Poison. Priority: Standard Misc.: Biting move.
Z-Move: 100 BP Hydro Vortex. Niche: Provides Water with a move that can poison and a move improved by Strong Jaw. Potential Pokemon With This Move: Early rodents, Totodile-line, canine and feline pokemon, Carvana-line, Gyarados, Eelektros, Emboar, Serpent-pokemon, Krookodile
Name: Kaiju Stomp Existing Move?: N Category: Physical Type: Dragon PP: 10 Effect: Deals damage based on weight as Heavy Slam and Heat Crash.
Priority: Standard Misc.: Does double daage and has perfect accuracy against an opponent that has used minimise. Z-Move: Devastating Drake Niche: Allows heavy pokemon to deal large amounts of damage.
Name: Necrotic Strike Existing Move?: N Category: Physical Type: Ghost PP: 10 Effect: 60 BP. 30% chance to Poison.
Priority: Standard Misc.: Makes contact. Boosted by Serene Grace and Sheer Force. Z-Move: 120 BP Never Ending Nightmare Niche: Gives Ghost another physical move and a way of spreading Poison.
Name: Blindside Existing Move?: N Category: Physical Type: Dark PP: 10 Effect: 80 BP. Doubles in power if the opponent is Confused and cures their Confusion. Priority: Standard Misc.: Makes Contact.
Z-Move: Black Hole Eclipse. Niche: Allows you to deal a lot of damage to a pokemon you have previously confused.
Name: Pippa Berry Existing Item?: N Effect: In a pinch, the user consumes this berry, burning both itself, and the opponent.
Removable via Knock Off?: Y Ignored by Klutz?: Y
Fling Info: 10 BP. Burns opponent.
Niche: A way to punish an attacker that is about to take you out, at a price.
Name: Poppy Existing Item?: N Effect: When the user is hit by a contact move, this item is consumed and the opponent becomes drowsy.
Removable via Knock Off?: Y Ignored by Klutz?: Y
Fling Info: 10 BP. Makes opponent Drowsy. Niche: A way to force an opponent to switch after their first attack, or to face the consequences.
Name: Oil Slick Existing Item?: N Effect: When the opponent raises their stats, this item is consumed and the opponent becomes confused.
Removable via Knock Off?: Y Ignored by Klutz?: Y
Fling Info: 10 BP. Confuses opponent.
Niche: This punishes setting-up.
Name: Voodoo Doll Existing Item?: N Effect: When the opponent attacks the holder with a contact move, this item is consumed and the opponent is tormented.
Removable via Knock Off?: N Ignored by Klutz?: Y
Fling Info: 30 BP. Torments opponent.
Niche: This limits your opponents moves after attacking.

Imo give Fertilize and Liquidate to Leafeon and Vaporeon respectivelly. Sylveon already has Pixilate, so why not it's buddies? (Same could apply to the other eeveelutions tbh). Also since you're doing Ate / Ize abilities anyways, if you're up to it, redistribute Aerilate / Pixilate / Refrigerate / Galvanize too.
My subs will come later, here's my obligatory general discussion post (like I said, more in-depth discussion can take place on Discord):
Meloetta-Pirouette @ Relic Charm
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Double Hit / Retaliate / Facade
- Drain Punch / Double Kick
- Knock Off
- Quick Attack
This thing with 128 Attack and two hits of a STAB move as strong as an unboosted Brick Break? Yeah, that's REALLY scary and that's why this is on the suspect block once we get everything coded. Also, I probably won't allow for both to be on the same set at the same time (there might be a way to do that, idk)
Ambipom @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Double Hit
- Fake Out / U-Turn
- Fire Punch
- Knock Off
Now, THIS is how you take Ambipom to the top! I mean, it's still ridiculously frail, but I DARE you to try switching into to a Technician-boosted Double Hit or Knock Off.
Gengar @ Darkinium Z
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Haunting Scream
- Shadow Sky
- Sludge Bomb
- Focus Blast
You know how 2 of Gengar's biggest problems are its speed tier and that it lacks power? Well, Z-Shadow Sky just fixes both to an extent, especially the former. And to set-up, you could, I dunno, get the 30% chance to apply a Perish counter from Haunting Scream?
Houndoom @ Houndoominite
Ability: Flash Fire -> Shadow Surge
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Sucker Punch / Sludge Bomb
- Incinerate
- Nasty Plot
With 140 Special Attack and Shadow Sky giving you a free 120 BP Dark Pulse, Mega Houndoom has a ton of power at its disposal. BASICALLY, if you let it Nasty Plot, you better hope you have a Trick Room setter in the back... or something faster. But, even then, Sucker Punch gets boosted by Shadow Sky too, so have fun with that. And now this mod has made both my favorite Pokemon (Combusken) and elast favorite Pokemon (this) much better!
Umbreon @ Shadow Rock
Ability: Shadow Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Foul Play
- Moonlight / Wish
- Toxic / Protect
- Heal Bell / Protect
That's a strong Foul Play... oh, and 8 turns of boosted Ghost and Dar moves for the rest of your team is cool, too.
Spiritomb @ Aguav Berry / Leftovers
Ability: Shadow Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Quiet Nature
(IVs: 0 Spe)
- Haunting Scream
- Psychic / Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Nasty Plot
- Pain Split / Sucker Punch
There's probably a better set out there, but the point is that this basically Nasty Plot Cofagrigus on steroids. With the huge boost to its STAB moves, after a Nasty Plot, switching into Spiritomb will NOT be fun, especially in Trick Room.
Magmortar @ Choice Specs
Ability: Mega Launcher
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Incinerate / Fire Blast
- Flame Bullet (wasn't this supposed to be ball move (aka blocked by Bulletproof aka boosted by Mega Launcher 2.0?)
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
If you DARE switch-in, then you'll either lose your item, take an unreasonably strong 180 BP Focus Blast to the dome, or get zapped. Unless Mag misplays and clicks Flame Bullet at the wrong time (which can still be dangerous), your BEST option is to get zapped. That's saying something. (Volcanion similarly benefits from this and is likely more viable, but the only useful boosts it gets are Focus Blast and Sludge Bomb to an extent (and Flame Bullet maybe) from ML, so this showed it off better).
T H I C C (Mamoswine) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Shard
- Icicle Crash
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock / Knock Off TOO THICC TO BURN, WHERE ARE YOUR WILL-O-WISPS NOW?!
Goodra @ Assault Vest
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Pulse / Thunderbolt
- Sludge Wave
- Fire Blast
First you get to be Dragon/Poison and get rid of your Fairy weakness, and now you can kiss that pesky Ice weakness goodbye, too. Now isn't that just dandy?
Primarina @ Choice Specs / Primarium Z
Ability: Liquid Voice
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Sparkling Aria
- Moonblast
- Psychic
- Ice Beam / Hidden Power [Fire]
Looks like Ariel found her voice. Side note, does Sparkling Aria actually receive the boost since it's already Water-type? If not, then use Hyper Voice.
(Grass/Dragon)
Serperior @ Life Orb
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor / Dragon Pulse
- Giga Drain / Leaf Storm
- Flamethrower
- Glare / Taunt
...Aquatic why must you do these things to me... (Yes I know I voted for Xurk and Serp, your point?)
(Dark/Fairy)
Mawile @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate / Hyper Cutter -> Huge Power
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off
- Play Rough
OO: Fire Punch
.... TRICK ROOM NEVER STOPS GETTING BETTER
Name: Mega Launcher (yeah, I still have to add moar shit). Existing Ability?: Yeah Effect: Increases the power of Ballistic, Pulse, "Cannon" and "Blast" related moves by 50%. (List of "cannon" and "blast" moves: Steam Eruption, Flash Cannon, Techno Blast, Fire Blast, Moonblast, Aeroblast, Bullet Fire, Twineedle, Plume Cannon, Draco Meteor, Bullet Punch, Spike Cannon) Niche: I've recently realised that the buff I gave to it wasn't still enough, so I guess this one could help. Potential Pokemon With This Ability: We've already done that lol.
Name: Bulletproof. Existing Ability?: Yeah Effect: Protects the Pokémon from some ball, bomb, cannon and blast moves. (List of "cannon" and "blast" moves: Steam Eruption, Flash Cannon, Techno Blast, Fire Blast, Moonblast, Aeroblast, Bullet Fire, Twineedle, Plume Cannon, Draco Meteor, Bullet Punch, Spike Cannon) Niche: Lets the new users of the ability to wall more things.

/
BP: 25 PP: 15 Accuracy: 90% Effect: Attacks 2-5 times in a row.
Imo, what else should be added to Mega Launcher / Bulletproof: Hydro Cannon, Meteor Shower (Since it's basically a Rock-type DMeteor), Rock Blast, maybe Meteor Mash and Commet Punch
Also please add Razor Shell to the Psycho Cut gang. That's another pathetic STAB that would fit with the boost. Or maybe I just want Samurott to be op, I don't know which of the two
Also please add Razor Shell to the Psycho Cut gang. That's another pathetic STAB that would fit with the boost. Or maybe I just want Samurott to be op, I don't know which of the two
Existing Ability - No Effect - Ignores the effects the current battlefield In Depth Effect - When this pokemon is on the field, the effects of the following moves are removed: Trick Room, Wonder Room, Magic Room, Electric Terrain, Psychic Terrain, Grassy Terrain, Misty Terrain, Harsh Sunlight, Rain, Hail, Sandstorm and Air Stream. Competitive Value - Allows mons to remove the effects of all of the above, without actually removing them, meaning they're still on the battlefield, but they don't add any effects. This means if a mon with Electric Surge switches in, it will work like Electric Terrain's still up. This helps some mons that could do without terrains, weathers, or the meta breaking Trick Room. Seriously, we need some sort of counter to it... Potential Receivers - Slowbro, Slowking, Jynx, Xatu, Grumpig, Uxie, Mespirit, Azelf, Oranguru,
Name Meaning - "Jnana is the state in which someone is clearly awake and aware of the world as it is, as distinct from the world as it is described. In other words, in the state of Jnana, you stop thinking. That is to stay you stop talking to yourself and symbolising to yourself what is going on. You simply are aware of what is."
Type Changes
➤
New Moves - Toxic Spikes, Poison Jab Abilities - Unnerve / Poison Point / (Intimidate) Rationale - Vespiquen already learns 2 moves that are usually only learned by Poison types, Venoshock and Poison Sting. It also shoots poisonous needles in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, so why it isn't poison type is beyond me. Intimidate is there because it fits with the other abilities of regular Vespiquen, Unnerve and Pressure. I replaced Pressure with Poison Point, moved Unnerve to a regular ability and made Intimidate the HA because why not. The moves are kinda self explanatory. Competitive Value - With the Bug / Poison typing, it can now function better as a tank for multiple reasons. 1) It's no longer destroyed by SR. It still doesn't like them, but it deals with them a lot better. (2) It no longer has a weakness to the most prominent move combo in the game, Boltbeam, takes rock types a lot better (Not a good idea to switch into it though). (3) It's now immune to the likes of Toxic. On the downside it is weak to Psychic type moves, but with all the buffs, this is a minor drawback. It can now use Defend Order and Heal Order well in a stall set, AV Sets can now run things like Power Gem to help with Fire and Flying types, and it can even attempt a sweep with Hone Claws (Although it's pretty bad at it).
Name: Hot Tag Existing Move?: No Category: Status Type: Fighting BP: -- PP: 32 Max Effect: The user switches out. It's replacement has their highest non-HP stat raised by 1. Priority: 0 Misc.: N/A Z-Move: Restores the replacement's HP Niche: This move gives momentum like the other self-switching moves and allows the user's teammates to sweep, dent something, or setup upon switch-in, which is really nice. Potential Pokemon With This Move: Litten line, Hawlucha, Makuhita line, other stuff
Name: All-Terrain Blast Existing Move?: No Category: Special Type: Normal BP: 50 PP: 16 Max Effect: 100% Accuracy, does double damage in terrains and becomes the same type of the terrain. Priority: 0 Misc.: Affected by Bulletproof Z-Move: Breakneck Blitz (160 BP (Weather Ball is apparently 160)), will turn into the appropriate Z-Move that matches the terrain (this is also how Weather Ball works). Niche: You know that Mega Camerupt set that uses Nature Power when paired with Tapu Koko or Bulu in order to launch a powerful coverage move (or if your name is Yoshiblaze, with Specs Prankster Whimsicott)? This is that, but stronger for most Pokemon and can't be taunted. This allows for cool synergy between with Tapus. Potential Pokemon With This Move: The Tapus and Pokemon that learn terrain moves, some other stuff
Name: Unusual Room Existing Move?: No Category: Status Type: Psychic BP: -- PP: 16 Max Effect: Summons Unusual Room for 5 turns (8 with Room Extender). In Unusual Room, all Pokemon are treated as typeless. Priority: -7 Misc.: Replaced by other rooms, is removed if Unusual Room is used while its active. Z-Move:
Niche: This helps out Pokemon who lack good STAB moves and have high BP coverage or those who have a horrible defensive typing but good stats. Oh, and it replace Trick Room, that's important. Potential Pokemon With This Move: Pokemon that learn Wonder/Magic/Trick Room, Greninja
Name: Blue Flare / Bolt Strike / High Horsepower / Mega Kick Existing Move?: Yes Category: Physical / Special (Blue Flare) Type: Fire / Electric / Ground / Normal BP: 135 PP: 8 Max Effect: 85% Accuracy, 20% chance to burn (BF) / paralyze (BS) / flinch (HH) / lower the attack of (MK) the foe. Priority: 0 Misc.: Kicking move (HH, MK), Contact (BS, HH, MK) Z-Move: 190 BP Inferno Overdrive / Gigavolt Havoc / Tectonic Rage / Breakneck Blitz Niche: Making High Horsepower and Mega Kick more appealing, having a nice punch behind them and secondary effects to either help Pokemon that don't get EQ or compete with E Q and Return. Potential Pokemon With This Move:
Blue Flare - Kyurem-W, Magmortar (I wouldn't go overboard with legendary sigs)
Bolt Strike - Kyurem-B, Electivire
High Horsepower - Deerling line, Tauros, Bouffalant, Stantler, Rhyhorn line, Blitzle line, Gogoat
Mega Kick - More stuff from Gens 4-7 (Skiddo line, Blitzle line, Fighting-types, Deerling line, Bouffalant, Diggersby, Furfrou, Litten line, Komala, Sivally, etc.) and Doduo line, otherwise distribution is more than good
Name: Magical Aura Existing Ability?: No Effect: Upon switch-in, Magic Room is set-up for 5 turns (8 when the Room Extender is held). (Slight update to Magic Room itself, but due to the nature of the items Relic Charm and Rage Candy Bar being similar to the Primal Orbs, they still activate in Magic Room). Niche: Makes Magic Room actually usable, as the opponent's items become useless while the user can hold a Z-Crystal or Mega Stone (or be a Mega) and feel nothing. The more important thing, however, is that rooms replace other rooms, which means that this counteracts Time Warp. Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Fennekin, Misdreavus, Mega Slowbro (the only Psychic or Fairy Mega that doesn't already have a useful ability (Mega Audino makes sense if we wanted to replace Magic Healing)), Gothita line, Psyduck line, Cutiefly line
Name: Wacky World Existing Ability?: No Effect: Upon switch-in, Unusual Room is set-up for 5 turns (8 when the Room Extender is held). Niche: Makes Unusual Room actually usable, allowing Pokemon to actually abuse The more important thing, however, is that rooms replace other rooms, which means that this counteracts Time Warp. Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Pokemon with bad defensive typings/lack good STAB and learn Room moves (Examples: Morellul line, Solrock, Lunatone, Meowstic-F), Kecleon
Name: Sole Caliber Existing Ability?: No Effect: Boosts the power of kicking moves by 1.2x. (List: Jump Kick, High Jump Kick, Mega Kick, Double Kick, Blaze Kick, Trop Kick, Low Kick, Low Sweep, Rolling Kick, Triple Kick, Stomp, High Horsepower) Niche: Kicking moves need more love, and this gives them a nifty power boost. Also, so Pokemon with a lot of kicking moves could use a better ability. Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Hitmonlee, Tsareena, Doduo line, (Mega) Blaziken, Lopunny, Mienfoo line, Ponyta line | Pheromosa
Name: Brute Force Existing Ability?: No(t in this Pet Mod) Effect: This Pokemon's special moves become physical. Niche: Straight from TNFG, Brute Force allows physical attackers with 9 billion special moves to better utilize them. Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Ariados (in TNFG, Mega Ariados has Brute Force), Cranidos line, Mega Garchomp, Crabrawler line, Tyrunt line | Sneasel line
Pokemon: Gorebyss New typing: Water -> Water/Psychic New Moves: Psyshock, Dazzling Gleam, Hyper Voice, Calm Mind Niche: With the amount of Psychic moves it already learns (one of only 5 non-Psychic-types to learn Barrier and Amnesia), this makes sense. Competitively, its Shell Smashing ways get a bit of a buff, with useful secondary STAB in Psychic that can annihilate Toxapex as well as added coverage in Dazzling Gleam to take out its new Dark weakness. Also it needs Hyper Voice to make Liquid Voice usuable, having the Little-Mermaid-reference-before-it-was-cool thing can't be the only thing.
Pokemon: Huntail New typing: Water -> Water/Dark New Moves: Knock Off, Liquidation, Pursuit, Brick Break Niche: Huntail as a Dark-type could be interesting, with Knock Off and Sucker Punch, Huntail can dent a lot of things after a Shell Smash.
Pokemon: Rotom-Fan New typing: Electric/Flying -> Electric/Steel New Moves: Flash Cannon Niche: Can we please finally fix this mistake? Okay, I know it had Levitate before becoming a Flying-type, but still, let's fix this right up. And with this fix, Rotom-Fan becomes a lot more appealing with 2 immunities, a Stealth Rock resistance, and a ton of resistances, becoming a nice little Defogger.
Pokemon: Masquerain New typing: Bug/Flying -> Bug/Water New Moves: Surf, Whirlpool, Dive, Brine, Hail, Frost Breath, Sleep Powder Niche: Can we please finally fix this mistake, too? Plus, now that Araquanid exists to act as a counterpart to Masquerain, wouldn't this make more sense? With this change, Masquerain is a Quiver Dance sweeper with a nice offensive typing, Intimidate to force switches, and nifty Bug, Grass, Water, Flying, and Ice coverage. And if that doesn't intrigue you, you could run a support set with the likes of Sticky Web, Stun Spore/Sleep Powder, Scald, Whirlwind, U-Turn, and Defog
