Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
All right Pete, this should be a nice easy wrap-up for you.
Combo: Ice Punch + Ice Punch - Cooldown - Ice Punch
If he uses Substitute on action 1 and it's not a 25 HP substitute, change action 1 to Ice Punch and action 2 to Fake Out
Arena: All Water-type moves have a 5% chance of poisoning the target.
BEGIN ROUND TEN
Fire Blast has suddenly become overcome with a rather severe case of diarrhea. While he's cleaning that up (no pun intended), I'll step in and ref for you guys.
Aiming to finish this match as fast as possible, Pete the Hariyama steps out into the battlefield, flexing his blubber. Capers watches warily, hoping his tactics will pay off. As Hariyama charges up a wildly powerful punch full of deadly ice, Capers quickly throws up a protective barrier that completely blocks the powerful punch! It seems that he's survived a potential fatality, albeit at the cost of some energy.
While Pete is forced to recharge for a bit, Capers moves on to the next order of business, subjecting Pete to a rather nasty bit of tormenting. It looks like it's having some effect on Pete! Another point for Capers here!
Now acting like he doesn't have a care in the world about the battle, Capers lands on the grandstands on the side of the arena and just roosts, stretching his limbs out and relaxing. Pete seems somewhat angry at this and attempts to punch him, but what's that? The torment is preventing him from using Ice Punch again! How strange!
While it seems that Capers will inevitably be finished off, it seems that he's slowly regaining his health and confidence. Will he be able to survive long enough to defeat Pete?
Thanks for taking the initiative in reffing this. Just take note that you forgot to increase Capers' HP after Roost, & that Roost should've costed 11 Energy, not 13. Moving on, & nevertheless, Random saw that while this battle was tough, he knew that he still had that faint glimmer of hope that he could pull of the comeback.
"Alright Capers, we've been given a slight breather to contend with. Let's continue to regain our strength, because we are definitely going to need it." Chill > Roost > Chill
IF any action was to fail for whatever reason, THEN scale all actions back.
Belly Drum - Combo: Focus Punch + Focus Punch - Cooldown
I'm pretty sure I can still use that combo during Torment. If not, then change action 2 to Combo: Focus Punch + Fire Punch
Arena: All Water-type moves have a 5% chance of poisoning the target.
BEGIN ROUND ELEVEN
While Capers continues to lounge on the grandstands, restoring his energy, Pete gets all crazy and dances around the arena, slamming his belly in a manic, frenzied beat. This seems to have an enraging effect on Pete, raising his Attack all the way up to +6!
Capers, a bit terrified, chooses to keep lying down on the grandstand, recovering health this time. This seems to be a bad choice, as Pete charges wildly at Capers, punching him with all his might. Capers takes the hit like a champion, but crumples to the floor of the arena. Pete, exhausted, falls to the floor as well. After an agonizing minute, Capers slowly inches his way up from the ground. Pete, however, is unmoving.
Arena: All Water-type moves have a 5% chance of poisoning the target.
Capers chilled!
+12 energy
Pete used Belly Drum!
-62 HP, +6 Atk (PERM)
-30 energy
+1 HP (Capers)
Capers used Roost!
But it failed! Pete used Focus Punch + Focus Punch!
(34 + 3 - 1) * 1 + 10.5 = 47 damage, -44 energy
Pete fainted!
