[OVERVIEW]

Fire
========

* Talonflame distinguishes itself from the rest of the metagame through its unique ability in Gale Wings. Gale Wings gives Talonflame's Flying-type moves priority over the majority of the metagame if it is at full health, allowing it to function as a great revenge killer.
* Even without Gale Wings, Talonflame packs a fantastic Speed tier, which alone allows it to outspeed a number of Pokemon, most notably Keldeo and Latios. This combined with its access to Swords Dance turns Talonflame into a deadly setup sweeper.
* Talonflame also has access to a number of support moves such as Will-O-Wisp, Roost, Taunt, and Tailwind. The former two are a massive help in setting up a Swords Dance.
* Talonflame's secondary Flying typing provides it with an immunity to Ground-type moves. This creates a number of chances to set up against Choice Scarf Pokemon locked into a Ground-type move.
* Other than its STAB moves, Talonflame has little to no variety in its offensive movepool. This makes Talonflame rather easily walled.
* Furthermore, Talonflame's sub-par bulk means it has very few opportunities to set up against offensive Pokemon.
* This is only worsened by its 4x weakness to Stealth Rock.

Moves
========

* Acrobatics is Talonflame's lone attacking move. Its Base Power is doubled by Talonflame not running an item on this set. The lack of recoil from Acrobatics allows it to be easily spammed against a number of Pokemon and preserves Gale Wings, which is why it's preferred over Brave Bird.
* Swords Dance increases Talonflame's mediocre Attack and turns it into a fantastic setup sweeper.
* Roost is used to ensure Talonflame can get back to full health to make use of Gale Wings. It also lets Talonflame set up against weaker walls such as Porygon2.
* Will-O-Wisp allows Talonflame to easily set up against and shut down physical attackers like Mega Metagross.

Set Details
========

* 252 Attack EVs and an Adamant nature are used to maximize Talonflame's power.
* 252 EVs in Speed allow Talonflame to outspeed base 110 Speed Pokemon as well as Keldeo without Gale Wings.
* Gale Wings is run to allow Talonflame to move before the majority of the metagame with Acrobatics if it is at full health.
* Talonflame is running no item on this set to double the power of Acrobatics.

Usage Tips
========

* Remove Stealth Rock before switching in Talonflame.
* Don't let Talonflame take any unnecessary damage, as it appreciates having Gale Wings for opposing Pokemon that might outspeed it normally. This includes all forms of residual damage such as Rocky Helmet, poison, Leech Seed, sandstorm, and hail.
* Talonflame can also be used as a revenge killer, as it has access to priority Acrobatics.
* The main way of setting up with Talonflame while preserving Gale Wings is to force switches, as Pokemon that stay in can deal any amount of damage to break Gale Wings.
* Another way is to take advantage of Talonflame's Ground immunity. Switching into a Choice-locked Ground-type move from Pokemon like Kyurem-B and Excadrill gives Talonflame the chance to freely set up.
* Try to set up against physical attackers, which Talonflame can burn with Will-O-Wisp to set up against them easier.
* Spreading burns early-game on Talonflame's switch-ins is a good way of crippling them. This may let Talonflame set up more easily later.
* Although preserving Gale Wings is usually the better thing to do, in some situations getting a Swords Dance might be better. However, this is only applicable if Talonflame outspeeds the opponent's remaining Pokemon.
* Talonflame usually shines against Fighting, Grass, and Bug teams. In these matchups, Talonflame has a number of opportunities to set up and sweep. This allows Talonflame to either break down a team early-game or clean up late-game.

Team Options
========

* Having a Pokemon with entry hazard removal is absolutely crucial. Torkoal is a great defensive pivot that fits perfectly in this. Torkoal can remove Stealth Rock with Rapid Spin and can even set up its own Stealth Rock to break Focus Sash and Sturdy for Talonflame. Torkoal also sets up Drought to weaken Water-type moves for Talonflame and overwrites other weather, which may chip away at Talonflame. Torkoal can run Yawn and put a Pokemon to sleep to let Talonflame set up easier.
* Heatran is another Stealth Rock user that Talonflame greatly appreciates. Heatran can run Earth Power or Flash Cannon to remove Rock-type Pokemon that wall Talonflame. In return, Talonflame can get rid of Fighting-types for it. Heatran can also run a Bloom Doom set with to beat bulky Water-types like Slowbro and Swampert that wall Talonflame. Another reason why these two work great together is because Heatran can bait in Choice Scarf users like Terrakion and lock them into a Ground-type move. This creates an opportunity to set up for Talonflame.
* Mega Charizard Y can also run Defog to clear away Stealth Rock. Like Torkoal, Mega Charizard Y sets up Drought for Talonflame and weakens Water-type moves. It can also run Solar Beam to get rid of Water-, Rock-, and Ground-type Pokemon.
* Mega Charizard X appreciates Talonflame's ability to cripple a team with Will-O-Wisp or by setting up. This allows Mega Charizard X to clean up or vice versa.
* Infernape can run a Stealth Rock set to cripple opposing Pokemon and a Taunt set to stop Stealth Rock from being set up. It can also run a wallbreaker set with Choice Band to beat Rock-types for Talonflame. In return, Talonflame with Gale Wings means Infernape does not have to run Mach Punch for priority anymore.
* Volcanion functions as an excellent way to deal with Water-types for Talonflame. This is proved by its ability to switch into Azumarill, which is a big threat to Talonflame. Volcanion is also a great wallbreaker that can wear down Pokemon that potentially wall Talonflame.
* Victini is another fantastic wallbreaker that can run Bolt Strike to beat bulky Water-types like Gyarados. Victini can also run U-turn to pivot and bring in Talonflame safely.
* Rotom-H can use Volt Switch to bring in Talonflame safely. Rotom-H can also run a dualscreens set to allow Talonflame to set up easier.

Other Options
=============

Fire
--------
* A Jolly nature can be run over Adamant to make sure Talonflame outspeeds base 122 Speed Pokemon like Protean Greninja. However, Talonflame is already fast enough and would rather have an Attack-boosting nature to improve its mediocre Attack stat.
* Tailwind can be run to improve Talonflame and its teammates' Speed immensely. However, Talonflame's other support moves are much more valuable.
* Taunt can be used with more HP investment to shut down walls like Chansey, but Talonflame would much rather have Swords Dance to break down teams.
* Talonflame can run a Choice Band set to be used as a wallbreaker. However, this is not advised as Talonflame must run Brave Bird over Acrobatics, which prevents Talonflame from making full use of Gale Wings. Fire-type teams don't have a reliable entry hazard remover outside of Torkoal, which means Talonflame often comes in on Stealth Rock and faints after a few uses of Brave Bird.

Checks and Counters
===================

Fire
--------
**Heatran**: Heatran easily switches into Talonflame's attacks and can use Taunt to stop it from using Roost or setting up. Heatran can also stall it out with Toxic or KO it with Stone Edge.

**Tyranitar**: Tyranitar takes little to no damage from Acrobatics and can either set up Stealth Rock or just OHKO Talonflame with Stone Edge.

**Residual Damage**: Any type of residual damage, like Rocky Helmet damage, poison, Leech Seed, and weather effects, can break Talonflame's Gale Wings.

**Electric-types**: Electric-types like Magnezone, Rotom-W, and Zapdos can come in on even a +2 Attack Talonflame and KO it, while Pokemon like Raikou and Tapu Koko can just outspeed Talonflame and OHKO it with a STAB move.

**Rock-types**: Rock-types like Terrakion, Mega Aerodactyl, and Nihilego all OHKO Talonflame with their STAB Rock-type moves. Choice Scarf Terrakion and Mega Aerodactyl also outspeed Talonflame, while Nihilego takes little damage from Acrobatics and does not fear a burn.

**Steel-types**: If Talonflame is not running a Fire-type move, it is easily walled by Steel-types like Magearna and Skarmory. Magearna can Volt Switch out against it and Skarmory can set up Stealth Rock or phaze it out.

**Bulky Water-types**: Bulky Water-types like Swampert, Slowbro, and Empoleon take little damage from Acrobatics and can easily KO Talonflame with repeated uses of Scald.

**Faster Pokemon**: Without Gale Wings, Talonflame is vulnerable to being revenge killed by faster Pokemon such as Raikou, Mega Aerodactyl, and Mega Alakazam.

**Physical Walls**: Pokemon like Mandibuzz can stop Talonflame from setting up through Taunt or do fatal damage through Foul Play. Porygon2 can take even a +2 Acrobatics and use Discharge or Foul Play.

Overview:
- I'd say that Gale Wings lets it outprioritize, which is more accurate I think.
- Add that Talonflame can act as a revenge killer as a result of ^
- Mention its Flying sub-typing. Obviously it isn't bulky but every immunity counts.
- Include an example that highlights just how fast Talonflame is even without Gale Wings or a Speed-boosting nature, such as outspeeding Latios.
- Talonflame doesn't have "decent Attack" 81 is pretty bad actually.
- I'd think about the fact that Brave Bird and Flare Blitz break Gale Wings. It's not that important, so it's up to you.

Moves:
- Roost also lets Talonflame set up on weaker walls like Porygon2
- Add that Will-O-Wisp can help cripple switch-ins

Set Details:
- Add that the Speed lets Talonflame outspeed Keldeo. So even without Gale Wings, Talonflame can always revenge kill it.

Usage Tips:
- Rocky Helmet is the most important residual damage barring Stealth Rock to mention.
- Talk about how Talonflame can use Will-O-Wisp early-game to burn its switch-ins, which may let it set up more easily later.
- Discuss weighing the benefits of setting up against a special wall vs. having Gale Wings. You're unlikely to be able to reactivate Gale Wings later, but you have the opportunity to get a Swords Dance boost or two.
- The main way for Talonflame to set up while preserving Gale Wings is when it forces switches, since Pokemon that stay in can deal any amount of damage to break Gale Wings.
- Another way is to take advantage of Talonflame's Ground immunity. Switching into a Pokemon Choice-locked into a Ground-type move gives Talonflame the chance to freely set up.

Team Options:
- I'd mention that Drought can overwrite other weather, which may chip at Talonflame.
- Torkoal is also a very good physical pivot, which Talonflame can retreat to if needed
- I'd add that Infernape can serve as a great physical wallbreaker with Choice Band, which helps break checks to Talonflame. Such as Tyranitar?

Other Options:
- A more relevant example that gets outsped would probably be Protean Greninja.

Checks and Counters:
- Add residual damage. Any form will stop Gale Wings from being reactivated.
- Also faster Pokemon. Without Gale Wings, Talonflame is very vulnerable to being revenge killed by faster Pokemon.

Nicely done! QC 1/3

2/3 Mostly nitpicks, good job!

Double check you're following the template for gen 7. I think you need *'s instead of -'s

Set Details

– Gale Wings lets it "move before", not "outspeed"

Usage Tips
– I think "Make sure to always keep Talonflame at full health" is a bit too strong. Something like, "don't let talonflame take uncessary damage because it appreciates..." would be better imo.

OO

– Taunt seems like it would replace SD, not WoW. This lets Talonflame stall break. You might also mention the possibility of HP investment here? idk if that is any good this gen, though.

am check

Overview:
Mention some common Pokemon that easily wall Talonflame due to its very limited movepool. Heatran, Tyranitar, etc.
I'd say Stealth Rock is an even bigger problem to Talonflame now than it was in Gen 6. Move the Bullet Point about Stealth Rock up a bit, maybe even before you start to talk about its limited movepool.

Set Details:
Mention why you would choose Adamant > Jolly on Talonflame. Are there no notable threats inbetween the Jolly and Adamant speed-tier?
Mention some more example-Pokemon here.

Usage Tips:
Again, please note some examples to go with your statement. These may be obvious to me and you, but not to everyone. This goes for almost every sentence in this section.

Team Options:
Mention that Torkoal is the only Rapid Spin-user available on Fire-type teams.
Is Defog Mega Charizard Y really viable enough to deserve a mention..? I doubt it.

Other Options:
Is SDef Bulk Up / Taunt Wisp still a thing after the Gale Wings nerf? If so, give it a mention here.

Nothing else to add, it looks good overall.
