Electric
========

Tapu Koko is one of Electric's deadliest wallbreakers and revenge killers due to its amazing Electric / Fairy STAB combination and its ability to amplify the power of Electric-type moves through Electric Surge. Fairy-type STAB is amazing for Tapu Koko, as it can reliably threaten Dragon-types like Kommo-o, Kyurem-B, and Hydreigon that are often very problematic for Electric teams to handle. Its blistering base 130 Speed tier allows it to outspeed unboosted threats such as Latios, Mega Gallade, and Dugtrio. It's a staple for all Electric teams, as the Electric Terrain provided by Electric Surge boosts the power of all Electric-type moves by 50%. Electric Terrain also provides smaller niches in preventing Spore and Sleep Powder from Breloom and Mega Venusaur from affecting all grounded Pokemon. Tapu Koko can also function as a powerful anti-lead option with Taunt to shut down entry hazard setters and setup sweepers and Volt Switch or U-turn to provide offensive momentum for itself and its teammates. However, despite being powerful, Tapu Koko is quite frail, and can often be KOed by threats such as Tapu Bulu and +2 Mega Scizor. Because Electric teams constantly rely on Tapu Koko's ability to set the Electric Terrain, it must be switched in very often to keep offensive pressure, which can be taken advantage of by the opponent.

Moves
========

Thunderbolt is the most reliable special Electric-type move in Tapu Koko's arsenal, and its power is greatly amplified with Electric Terrain. Volt Switch is used primarily as a pivoting tool that allows Electric teams to keep offensive pressure and momentum. Hidden Power Ice deals with Ground- and Grass-types such as Landorus and Rotom-C that would otherwise comfortably take Tapu Koko's Electric-type STAB attacks. Dazzling Gleam is Tapu Koko's best Fairy-type STAB attack, striking down problematic Dragon-types such as Kyurem-B and Mega Altaria that Electric teams would otherwise struggle against.

Set Details
========

Maximum Special Attack investment paired with Choice Specs and Electric Terrain makes Tapu Koko a very potent wallbreaker. Maximum Speed investment with a Timid nature allows Tapu Koko to outspeed threats such as Dugtrio and Alakazam. The remaining 4 EVs are placed into Defense so that Tapu Koko has just enough bulk to take an Earthquake from uninvested Gliscor. Electric Surge is very crucial, as all Electric-type moves from grounded Pokemon are boosted by 50% under the summoned Electric Terrain. Choice Specs significantly boosts the power of Tapu Koko's attacks; however, locking it into a move that the foe resists can be taken advantage of by opposing Pokemon.

Usage Tips
========

When using Tapu Koko, it is often important to lead with it, as setting Electric terrain early sets itself and its teammates up for success by applying immediate offensive pressure. Be cautious of other Terrain setters such as Tapu Bulu and Mewnium Z Mew. While the latter requires a good amount of setup in order to function, the former can immediately be switched into Tapu Koko, switching the Terrain and lessening the prowess of Electric-types overall. Tapu Koko needs to continuously pivot out through the use of Volt Switch in order to keep momentum and reset the Electric Terrain if necessary. Tapu Koko also functions well as a revenge killer, so bring it in on slower, weakened foes and pivot out with Volt Switch to maintain momentum while also taking minimal damage from the opposing Pokemon's attacks. Tapu Koko is very threatening to Dragon teams for its capability to revenge kill nearly any unboosted Dragon-type such as Kyurem-B, Hydreigon, or Garchomp with the combination of Dazzling Gleam and Hidden Power Ice. Pivoting back and forth between Tapu Koko and its teammates through VoltTurn is also beneficial gradually chip at the foe, as well as to escape foes looking to switch into Tapu Koko such as Ferrothorn and Mega Venusaur and swap to a teammate such as Magnezone or Alolan Raichu that could better handle them.

Team Options
========

Alolan Raichu benefits the most from Tapu Koko's Electric Surge, as its Speed is doubled under Electric Terrain, letting it take on revenge killers that would otherwise threaten Tapu Koko in a one-on-one scenario, such as Choice Scarf Greninja, Choice Scarf Nihilego, and Sand Rush Excadrill under sand. In return, Tapu Koko deals with Dark-types such as Mega Sableye that Alolan Raichu can't easily break. Rotom-W provides an excellent defensive partner for Tapu Koko to pivot out to, as it is able to avoid Ground-type moves through Levitate, retaliates against them with Hydro Pump, and cripples physical threats such as Mega Lopunny and Mega Garchomp through the use of Will-O-Wisp. Zapdos is another physically defensive partner that can avoid Ground-type attacks while also checking physical setup sweepers such as Mega Scizor and Tapu Bulu because of its excellent defensive typing. It also provides solid Defog support for Tapu Koko, allowing it to take as little damage as possible from them. Magnezone is able to trap problematic Steel-types such as Excadrill, Celesteela, Klefki, and Ferrothorn and revenge kill them with Hidden Power Fire or an Electric-type move. The former two are especially important to trap, as Choice Scarf Excadrill has the capacity to revenge kill Tapu Koko with Earthquake, while Celesteela can scout for any move Tapu Koko locks itself into by using Protect. Alolan Golem provides solid Stealth Rock support that can break Focus Sashes and chip opposing Pokemon for Tapu Koko to sweep. Alolan Golem also provides physical prowess for Electric teams, being able to check specially defensive Pokemon that Tapu Koko can't break through easily, such as Chansey and Alolan Muk. Thundurus is a mixed attacker that can assist Tapu Koko in besting Steel teams with the combination of Superpower and Thunderbolt while also having the potential to play a support role through Prankster Thunder Wave and Taunt. The combination of Thundurus and Tapu Koko forms a fast, offensive VoltTurn core as a result. Zeraora is one of the few physical attackers available to Electric teams, and it is greatly appreciated in the Normal matchup due to its combination of Knock Off and Close Combat.

Moves
========

Thunderbolt is Tapu Koko's most reliable Electric-type STAB move and is very powerful when paired with the effects of Electric Surge. Hidden Power Ice is a coverage option against Ground-types such as Garchomp and Landorus that prove to be problematic for Electric teams. Taunt acts as an anti-lead option, preventing entry hazards such as Stealth Rock and Sticky Web from Chansey and Ribombee, setup from Mega Latias and Volcarona, and utility moves such as Zapdos's Substitute and Toxic. U-turn is the main pivoting option over Volt Switch, enabling Tapu Koko to pivot out of foes such as Dugtrio, which can trap Tapu Koko and take advantage of it for using an Electric-type move.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed and Special Attack EVs allow Tapu Koko to hit as hard and fast as possible. A Timid nature permits Tapu Koko to Speed tie with Aerodactyl and Crobat while also outspeeding Greninja and Dugtrio. Magnet provides extra power to an already Electric Terrain-boosted Thunderbolt, hitting anything that doesn't resist it very hard without worrying about recoil damage from a Life Orb. Electric Surge is Tapu Koko's only usable ability, setting up Electric Terrain and boosting all Electric-type moves by 50%.

Usage Tips
========

Tapu Koko is generally a great lead, since it can set Electric Terrain, shut down utility foes such as Chansey and Forretress with Taunt, and pivot out of unfavorable lead matchups with U-turn because it's naturally faster than almost everything. However, other Terrain setters such as Tapu Bulu, Tapu Fini, and Mewnium Z Mew can remove Tapu Koko's Electric Terrain. Also, the Electric Terrain fades away after a few turns. Make sure you pivot out to another teammate consistently to keep your momentum and reset the Terrain if need be. Avoid extra chip damage from entry hazards and status, especially from Toxic Spikes, as consistent exposure to them cripples Tapu Koko and lessens its ability to freely set Electric Terrain. Continuously pivoting out with Tapu Koko and its teammates is key to have the opposing team take constant chip damage and keep momentum. Keeping Electric Terrain up is critical for the success of any Electric team, as this set lacks the power of Choice Specs and relies on its teammates to break faster foes. Because of its natural Speed, Tapu Koko can revenge kill weakened threats with Thunderbolt. While Tapu Koko must constantly provide Electric Terrain for its teammates, it should not take excess damage, especially since its bulk is rather subpar.

Team Options
========

Alolan Raichu benefits immensely with Tapu Koko around, as Electric Terrain doubles its Speed, making it the fastest presence on the field. During the time Electric Terrain is up, Alolan Raichu can check common Choice Scarf users such as Greninja and Nihilego as well as weather sweepers such as Excadrill and Alolan Sandslash. Tapu Koko further provides aid by Taunting utility foes and pivoting back to Alolan Raichu, creating opportunities for Alolan Raichu to set up a Nasty Plot. Rotom-W provides Tapu Koko with a check to Ground-types through Hydro Pump, as well as an additional immunity to their STAB attacks in the form of Levitate and the ability to cripple physical attackers such as Scizor and Mamoswine with Will-O-Wisp. Zapdos provides Tapu Koko with defensive capabilities, including a very solid defensive typing that ignores Ground-types and Defog support that can remove entry hazards such as Toxic Spikes that can chip away at Tapu Koko. Magnezone traps problematic Steel-types such as Ferrothorn, Klefki, and Excadrill through its ability Magnet Pull and proceeds to remove them with Hidden Power Fire. Trapping and knocking out Excadrill is especially important, as Tapu Koko takes a larger support role with this set. Alolan Golem provides Stealth Rock support for Electric teams, breaking Focus Sashes and gradually chipping away at the opposing team. It is also one of the few physical attackers that Electric teams have available, and as such it can break through specially defensive Pokemon such as Chansey and Alolan Muk, a task that Tapu Koko would have difficulty with. In return, Tapu Koko can use Taunt against anti-leads and Defog users looking to prevent Stealth Rock, such as lead Aerodactyl and defensive Mew. Thundurus is another physical attacker available to Electric teams, primarily assisting Tapu Koko in breaking the Normal core of Chansey and Porygon2 through the use of Knock Off and Superpower. It also helps against Steel- and Psychic-types such as Excadrill and Latios. Mega Manectric provides a more immediate answer to physical attackers in the form of Intimidate. Its additional access to Fire-type moves such as Flamethrower and Overheat provides more of an offensive measure to bulkier Grass-types such as Ferrothorn and Tapu Bulu. Zeraora stands out from others for being incredibly fast, naturally outspeeding offensive threats such as Mega Lopunny. It's greatly appreciated in the Normal matchup for its great Speed and its combination of Knock Off and Close Combat.

Electric
--------
Grass Knot can be use in tandem with Hidden Power Ice on Choice Specs variants of Tapu Koko, as it allows Tapu Koko to better threaten Ground teams if Magnezone manages to successfully trap and kill Excadrill. However, Grass Knot does more damage exclusively to these foes and does not guarantee an OHKO on them, and it also comes at the cost of Volt Switch or Dazzling Gleam; the former is important to pivot out of situations, and the latter is just as important to threaten Dragon teams effectively. U-turn acts as a substitute to Volt Switch on the Choice Specs set that cannot be blocked by Ground-type foes, especially Dugtrio, which can trap Tapu Koko if locked into an Electric-type move. However, U-turn is considerably less powerful than Volt Switch due to the lack of bonus power from STAB or Electric Terrain and makes Tapu Koko more susceptible to contact damage from Rocky Helmet and Iron Barbs. Life Orb can be used over Choice Specs on that particular set in order to choose moves freely. However, Life Orb's residual damage puts Tapu Koko at risk of being revenge killed by faster attackers as well as priority moves from foes such as Dragonite and Mega Scizor.

Checks and Counters
===================

Electric
--------
**Special Walls**: Special walls such as Chansey, Alolan Muk, and Cradily handle Tapu Koko's attacks with ease.

**Ground-types**: Ground-types such as Seismitoad and Hippowdon sport enough bulk to take a hit from any of Tapu Koko's moves and can OHKO it with a STAB attack.

**Grass-types**: Bulky Grass-types such as Mega Venusaur and Ferrothorn have no problem switching in to Tapu Koko, as they resist both of its STAB attacks and can freely fire off an attack with minimal repercussions. Tapu Bulu is particularly threatening, as it removes Electric Terrain for its own Grassy Terrain, lessening Tapu Koko's offensive pressure while boosting its own.

**Revenge Killers**: Naturally faster attackers such as Mega Lopunny and Mega Alakazam, Choice Scarf users such as Greninja and Nihilego, and weather sweepers like Mega Swampert and Alolan Sandslash put tremendous offensive pressure on Tapu Koko, often forcing it out into a defensive option.

**Status and Residual Damage**: Chip damage from entry hazards and status conditions set a timer on Tapu Koko, lessening its opportunities to deal damage and set its Electric Terrain.

*Tapu Koko is one of Electric's deadliest wallbreakers and revenge killers due to the combination of an amazing Electric and Fairy-type dual STAB and its electrifying ability (literally) to amplify the power of Electric-type moves through Electric Surge.
*Tapu Koko's secondary Fairy-Type STAB is amazing for Electric-types, as it can threaten Dark and Dragon-types like Kommo-o, Mega Sableye, and Hydreigon that are often problematic for Electric teams to handle.
*Tapu Koko's base 130 Speed tier is blistering for the meta, as it can outspeed unboosted threats such as Latios, Tornadus-Therian, and Dugtrio.

*While offensively powerful, Tapu Koko is still quite frail, and often comes under fire of being KO'd by threats such as Swords Dance boosted+2 Mega Scizor and Grassy Terrain boosted Tapu Bulu.
*Despite a solid physical Attack stat, Tapu Koko doesn't have as many moves physically to back up its power, and often relies on its below-average Special Attacking stat in order to effectively do damage.
*Because Electric teams constantly rely on Tapu Koko's ability to set the Electric Terrain, it must be switched in very often to keep offensive pressure, which can be taken advantage of by the opponent.

*Thunderbolt is the most reliable special Electric move in Tapu Koko's arsenal, and its power is greatly amplified with the combination of STAB, Life Orb/Choice Specs, and Electric Terrain.
*Volt Switch is used primarily as a pivoting tool that allows Electric teams to keep offensive pressure and momentum.
*Hidden Power Ice deals with Ground and Grass-types such as Landorus and Tapu Bulu that would otherwise comfortably take Tapu Koko's Electric STAB.
*Dazzling Gleam is Tapu Koko's best Fairy STAB, and also strikes down problematic Dragon-types such as Kyurem-Black and Mega Altaria that Electric teams would otherwise struggle against.

Set Details
========

*Maximum Special Attack when paired with Life Orb/Choice Specs and Electric Terrain make Tapu Koko a very potent wallbreaker.
*Maximum Speed with a Timid Nature allows Tapu Koko to hit its Speed threshold, outspeeding threats such as Dugtrio and Alakazam.
*Electric Surge is Tapu Koko's only usable ability, yet very crucial as all Electric-type moves from grounded Pokemon are boosted by 50% under the summoned Electric Terrain.
*Life Orb slightly boosts the power of all of Tapu Koko's attacks in exchange for a small amount of HP per turn.
*Choice Specs significantly boosts the power of one of Tapu Koko's attacks; however, locking yourself into a move that the foe resists can result in an opportunity for your opponent to set up be taken advantage of by opposing Pokemon. Changed language because this isn't specific to setup Pokemon.

Usage Tips
========

*When using Tapu Koko, it is often important to lead with it, as setting the Electric terrain early sets itself and its teammates for success by applying immediate offensive pressure.
*Be cautious of other terrain setters such as Tapu Bulu and Mewnium Z Mew. While the latter requires a good amount of setup in order to function, the former can immediately be switched into Tapu Koko, switching the terrain conditions and lessening the prowess of Electric-types overall.
*Tapu Koko needs to continuously pivot out through the use of Volt Switch/U-turn into its teammates in order to keep momentum and reset the Electric Terrain, if necessary.
*Add another bullet on pivoting talking about using it offensively to chip down foes
*and then another bullet about pivoting out of Pokemon looking to switch into Koko to then switch into a teammate that can handle said Pokemon (with examples).

*Tapu Koko also functions well as a revenge killer, so bring it in on slower, weakened foes and Volt Switch out to continue your momentum while also taking minimal damage from the opponent.

Team Options
========

*Alolan Raichu benefits the most from Tapu Koko's Electric Surge, as its Speed is doubled under Electric Terrain. Because of this, Alolan Raichu can threaten revenge killers that would otherwise threaten Tapu Koko in a one-versus-one scenario, such as Choice Scarf Greninja, Choice Scarf Nihilego, and Sand Rush Excadrill under sand. In return, Tapu Koko deals with Dark-types such as Mega Sableye that Alolan Raichu can't easily break.
*Rotom-Wash provides excellent defensive capabilites for Tapu Koko to pivot into, as it is able to avoid Ground-type moves through Levitate, retaliates against them through the use of Hydro Pump, and cripples physical threats such as Mega Lopunny and Mega Garchomp through the use of Will-o-Wisp.
*Zapdos is another specially defensive presence for Tapu Koko, being able to avoid Ground-type attacks while also checking physical setup sweepers in Mega Scizor and Tapu Bulu because of its excellent defensive typing. It also provides solid Defog support that can clear hazards for Tapu Koko, allowing it to take as minimal damage as possible from them. I don't think that checking physical setup sweepers is a good thing to include as it can only really check those two - it loses to most other physical setup Pokemon. Instead talk about its function as a specially defensive teammate.
*Magnezone offers its ability to trap problematic Steel-types such as Ferrothorn and Klefki that can set up on Tapu Koko typically cannot touch, and removes them through the use of HP Fire.
*Alolan Golem provides solid Stealth Rock support that can break Focus Sashes and chip opponents for Tapu Koko to sweep. Alolan Golem also provides physical prowess for Electric teams, and is able to check Specially Defensive tanks that Tapu Koko can't break through easily, such as Chansey and Alolan Muk. In return, Tapu Koko can help check faster Water-types such as Keldeo and Mega Gyarados that can threaten Alolan Golem.
*Thundurus is a physical teammate that provides use in Prankster Thunder Wave/Taunt, preventing hazards and setup, as well as Knock off against walls such as Chansey, Porygon2, and Cradily and Clefable. In return, Tapu Koko breaks down physical walls such as Skarmory and Torkoal that would take longer for Thundurus to handle. Offensive VoltTurn core.
*Mega Manectric provides a check to physical setup sweepers with Intimidate, checks bulkier Grass and Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Tapu Bulu through the use of Flamethrower andor Overheat, while also speed tying with faster threats such as Mega Lopunny. It also enables Koko to utilize Grass Knot more effectively as it already provides ice (and fire) coverage.

Moves

*Thunderbolt is Tapu Koko's most reliable Electric-type STAB that is very powerful when paired with the effects of Electric Surge.
*Hidden Power Ice is a coverage option against Ground-types such as Garchomp and Landorus that prove to be problematic for Electric teams.
*Taunt acts as an anti-lead option, preventing entry hazards such as Stealth Rocks and Sticky Webs from Chansey and Ribombee, while also preventing foes such as Mega Latias and Volcarona from setting up and recovering.
*U-turn is the main pivoting option for Tapu Koko, being able to switch out into a teammate that can efficiently check the foe.
*Roost increases Tapu Koko's longevity by recovering half of its HP, creating opportunities to set up Electric Terrain later in the battle. However, this comes at the cost of the pivoting properties of U-turn, forcing hard switches out into teammates.

Set Details
========

*Max Speed and Special Attack allow Tapu Koko to hit as hard as possible, as fast as possible.
*A Timid Nature permits Tapu Koko to reach its maximum speed of 394, speed tying with Aerodactyl and Crobat while also outspeeding non-Choice Scarf Greninja, Dugtrio, and Tornadus-Therian.
*Magnet allows extra power to an already Electric Terrain powered Thunderbolt, hitting anything that doesn't resist it very hard, without worrying about recoil damage from a Life Orb.
*Electric Surge is Tapu Koko's only usable ability, setting up the Electric Terrain and boosting all Electric-type moves by 50%.

Usage Tips
========

*Leading with Tapu Koko is very effective in every matchup, as its ability to set up Electric Terrain and its power to Taunt Utility foes like Forretress and Chansey set itself and its teammates up for success.
*Other Terrain Setters such as Tapu Bulu, Tapu Fini, and Mewnium Z Mew can remove the Electric Surge set by Tapu Koko. Also, the Electric Terrain in general fades away after a few turns. Make sure you pivot out into another teammate consistently to keep your momentum and reset the terrain, if need be.
*Avoid extra chip damage from entry hazards and status, especially from Toxic Spikes, as consistent exposure to them cripple Tapu Koko and lessen its ability to freely set the Electric Terrain.
*Avoid using Taunt against common Mental Herb and Magic Bounce users such as Shuckle and Mega Sableye. While the former can bypass Taunt once to set hazards, the latter can block it out entirely, preventing Tapu Koko from acting as a stop to utility. I don't think this bullet is worthwhile enough information to include as it's pretty obvious.
* Bullet on keeping momentum up with u-turn and chipping opponent
* Bullet on maintaining eterrain as much as possible for its teammates as this set lacks power and relies on its teammates to break fast foes
* Bullet on taking advantage of its high speed to revenge kill weakened foes with tbolt

Team Options
========

*Alolan Raichu benefits immensely with Tapu Koko around, as the terrain summoned doubles Raichu's Speed, making it the fastest presence on the field. During the time Electric Terrain is up, Alolan-Raichu can check common scarfers such as Greninja and Nihilego, as well as weather sweepers such as Excadrill and Alolan-Sandslash by outspeeding them and attacking with a powerful offensive option. In return, Tapu Koko deals with Dark-types such as Mega Sableye that Alolan-Raichu can't easily break.
*Rotom-Wash provides Tapu Koko with a check to Ground-types through Hydro Pump, as well as an additional immunity to them in the form of Levitate. Its ability to also cripple physical attackers through the use of Will-o-Wisp threatens many Physical attackers, such as Mega Gyarados and Mamoswine. Change MGyara to something else.
*Zapdos provides Tapu Koko with defensive capabilities, including a very solid defensive typing that ignores Ground-types, while also being solid Defog support that can remove hazards such as Toxic Spikes that can chip away at Tapu Koko.
*Magnezone traps problematic Steel-types such as Ferrothorn and Klefki through its ability, Magnet Pull. It then proceeds to remove them through the use of HP Fire.
*Alolan Golem provides Stealth Rock support for Electric teams, breaking Focus Sashes and gradually chipping away at the opponent. Alolan Golem is also one of the few Physical Attackers that Electric-types have available, and as such can break through Special tanks such as Chansey and Alolan Muk, a task that Tapu Koko would have difficulty with. In return, Tapu Koko can threaten faster Water-types such as Keldeo and Suicune for Alolan Golem. Taunt supports AGolem by preventing defog.
*Thundurus is another physical attacker available to Electric teams, and can also aid Tapu Koko in preventing setup sweeping through the use of Prankster Taunt/Thunder Wave. Additionally, its access to Knock Off is incredibly beneficial against generally bulky threats such as Porygon2 and Chansey, as the removal of their items allows them to be worn down more by Tapu Koko's attacks. Rephrase this: it takes on the Normal core for Tapu Koko with Knock Off + Superpower, it also helps with Steel- and Psychic-types such as Excadrill and Latios.
*Mega Manectric allows for a more immediate answer to physical attackers in the form of Intimidate. It's access to Fire-type moves such as Flamethrower and Overheat provide more of an offensive measure to bulkier Grass-types such as Ferrothorn and Tapu Bulu, while its base 135 Speed allows it to speed tie with Mega Lopunny, another physical threat to Tapu Koko.

--------
*Grass Knot can be opted over Hidden Power Ice, as its properties allow Tapu Koko to better hit specific Ground-types like Hippowdon, Mamoswine, and Seismitoad. However, Grass Knot merely does more damage to these foes and does not guarantee an OHKO on them, and also comes at the cost of HP Ice, which would be better used to help check more offensive threats to itself such as Landorus-T and Gliscor.
*Roost increases Tapu Koko's longevity by restoring half of its HP every time, and creates more opportunities to set Electric Terrain later in the battle. However, Roost comes at the cost of one of its offensive options.
*U-turn acts as a substitute to Volt Switch on Special Variants of the Life Orb or Choice Specs setTapu Koko, also being a pivoting tool. It also does not have to worry about being blocked by a Ground-type foe. However, U-turn is considerably less powerful than Volt Switch due to the lack of bonus power from STAB/Electric Terrain, and makes Tapu Koko more susceptible to contact damage from Rocky Helmet and Iron Barbs.
*HP Fire can be used as a substitute for HP Ice in order to beat down the likes of Scizor and Ferrothorn one on one. However, its teammate in Magnezone already traps and knocks out these threats with its own HP Fire anyways, and using HP Fire comes at the cost of hitting Ground-types such as Landorus and Garchomp with HP Ice.

Checks and Counters
===================

Electric
--------
**Special Walls**: Special Tanks such as Chansey, Alolan-Muk, and Cradily can often handle Tapu Koko's attacks with ease, while also being able to set hazards and inflict status. I don't think you need to state the second half because one of the main sets has taunt.

**Ground-Types**: Ground-types such as Seismitoad and Hippowdon sport enough bulk to live a hit from any of Tapu Koko's moves, and can OHKO it with Ground-type STAB.

**Grass-Types**: Bulky Grass-types such as Mega Venusaur and Ferrothorn have no problem switching in to Tapu Koko, as they resist both of its STABs and can freely fire off an attack with minimal repercussions. Tapu Bulu is particularly threatening, as it removes Electric Terrain for its own Grassy Terrain, lessening Tapu Koko's offensive pressure while boosting its own.

**Poison-Types**: Offensive Poison-types such as Nidoking and Nihilego can handle Tapu Koko's offensive options and OHKO it with a Poison-type move.

**Faster Attackers**: Naturally faster attackers such as Mega Lopunny and Mega Alakazam, and Choice Scarf users such as Greninja and Terrakion put tremendous offensive pressure on Tapu Koko, often forcing it out into a defensive option. Rename this to Revenge Killers and add in 2 of the weather sweepers here.

**Setup and Weather Sweepers**: Foes such as Quiver Dance Volcarona, Dragon Dance Mega Tyranitar, and Z-Celebrate Victini are bulky enough to live any one hit from Tapu Koko and threaten it with their offensive moves after a boost. Likewise, weather attackers such as Excadrill, Mega Swampert, Kingdra, and Alolan-Sandslash under their respective weather conditions can outspeed and OHKO Tapu Koko through their powerful offensive options. Remove this bullet and just meld it into the above bullet.

**Dragon-Types**: While Tapu Koko can reliably check them, certain Dragons such as Multiscale Dragonite and Calm Mind Mega Latias can still prove to be troublesome if they are healthy enough. These two Pokemon don't beat Koko because of their typing.

**Status and Residual Damage**: Chip damage from entry hazards, status conditions, and even its own Life Orb set a timer on Tapu Koko, lessening its opportunities to deal damage and set its Electric Terrain. Talk about why this is problematic with it acting as a pivot specifically.

Overview:
- Fairy coverage is most valuable for Dragon-types, not Dark-types, because Dragon resists Electric.
- Tornadus-T is hardly a threat to Electric teams. Let's go with Mega Gallade?

Set:
- The tag is [SET] not [SET #].
- Life Orb is worse than Choice Specs. I would consider it in OO, but definitely not on the set.
- 4 Def is way better than 4 SpD because 4 Def gives Tapu Koko just enough bulk to survive Gliscor's Earthquake (one of those rare cases where those 4 EVs make a huge difference)

Moves:
- Hidden Power Ice really doesn't "deal" with Tapu Bulu. If you expect Tapu Bulu to come in, Volt Switching out to a check is almost always better because Hidden Power Ice is so weak.

Set Details:
- Remove Life Orb.
- Add the 4 Def thing.

Usage Tips:
- Talk about Tapu Koko usage in the Dragon matchup too.

Team Options:
- Add Zeraora.
- Focus Magnezone on what it does for this particular set. It removes Excadrill, which can open up Tapu Koko to sweep Steel teams with its powerful Thunderbolt. It also traps Celesteela, preventing it from using Protect to scout Tapu Koko's move and appropriately switching.
- Also discuss Thundurus vs Steel teams, since Thunderbolt + Superpower messes up basically the whole team.
- Mega Manectric is kinda bad alongside Choice Specs Tapu Koko. It's mainly a teammate for say physical sets or sets without Volt Switch.

Set:
- Again, [SET] not [SET #]
- Roost is bad here. U-turn is needed to avoid Dugtrio trapping.

- Not worth mentioning that you outspeed Tornadus-T. It's not really a threat.

Usage Tips:
- Talk about having the U-turn option when leading to get out of bad lead matchups too. It's just a great lead in general.
- Some lines about using Taunt would be great here.

Team Options:
- These look pretty reiterated from the Choice Specs set. You should think about what this set does for these teammates.
- For example, Taunting Pokemon and having U-turn support can open up Alolan Raichu for a free Nasty Plot.
- Magnezone's help vs Excadrill is important here. The Celesteela thing I mentioned before isn't, since Tapu Koko doesn't lock into moves here.

Other Options:
- You would never drop Hidden Power Ice. It is possible to run Hidden Power Ice with Grass Knot, which would enable Tapu Koko to be a huge threat to Ground teams if you can trap Excadrill with Magnezone.
- The Ground-type that U-turn is most important for is Dugtrio, so you should mention it by name.
- Life Orb can go here.
- Hidden Power Fire Tapu Koko reaaaally sucks on Electric.

Checks and Counters:
- Poison-types aren't particularly great. They can be folded into Revenge Killers.

Potentially a stupid question, but exactly what kind of Zeraora set should I be referencing? Should I just generalize it as a good physical attacker?

Potentially a stupid question, but exactly what kind of Zeraora set should I be referencing? Should I just generalize it as a good physical attacker?
Yes. Discuss in the context of taking out Normal teams. Anything too specific is unreliable.

Specs:

Set Details:
- Pretty sure that Life Orb shouldn't be on there or anywhere else other than Other Options.

Usage Tips:
"Pivoting back and forth between Tapu Koko and its teammates through VoltTurn is also beneficial in the sense that it gradually chips at the foe. It can also be used as an escape tool for foes looking to switch into Tapu Koko such as Ferrothorn and Mega Venusaur, and swap to an appropriate teammate such as Magnezone or Alolan Raichu that could better handle them."
- Place this sentence on where you discussed about Volt Switch that section. It reads somewhat awkwardly.

Magnet:

Usage Tips:
- I'd add not to switch in Tapu Koko recklessly. Sure Electric Terrain is really helpful to keep up but Koko cannot afford to take any neutral damage either cause its bulk doesn't stand out.

Electric

Tapu Koko is one of Electric's deadliest wallbreakers and revenge killers due to the combination of an amazing Electric- (AH) and Fairy-type dual STAB and its electrifying ability (literally) to amplify the power of Electric-type moves through Electric Surge. It's secondary Fairy-type STAB is amazing for Electric-types, as it can reliably threaten Dragon-types like Kommo-o, Kyurem-Black, and Hydreigon that are often very problematic for Electric teams to handle. It's a staple for all Electric teams, as the Electric Terrain provided by Tapu Koko's Electric Surge boosts all Electric moves by 50%. It also provides smaller niches in preventing Spore and Sleep Powder from Breloom and Mega Venusaur respectively to all grounded pokemon. It can also function as a powerful anti-lead option with access to Taunt to shut down entry hazard setters and setup sweepers (RC) and Volt Switch or U-turn to provide offensive momentum for itself and its teammates. However, despite being offensively powerful, Tapu Koko is still quite frail, and it often comes under fire of being KO'd KOed by threats such as +2 Mega Scizor and Tapu Bulu. Because Electric teams constantly rely on Tapu Koko's ability to set the Electric Terrain, it must be switched in very often to keep offensive pressure, which can be taken advantage of by the opponent.

Thunderbolt is the most reliable special Electric move in Tapu Koko's arsenal, and its power is greatly amplified with Electric Terrain. Volt Switch is used primarily as a pivoting tool that allows Electric teams to keep offensive pressure and momentum. Hidden Power Ice deals with Ground- (AH) and Grass-types such as Landorus and <insert Grass-type here> that would otherwise comfortably take Tapu Koko's Electric STAB attacks. Dazzling Gleam is Tapu Koko's best Fairy STAB attack, and also strikes striking down problematic Dragon-types such as Kyurem-Black and Mega Altaria that Electric teams would otherwise struggle against.

Maximum Speed with a Timid nature allows Tapu Koko to hit its Speed threshold, outspeeding outspeed threats such as Dugtrio and Alakazam. Electric Surge is Tapu Koko's only usable ability, yet very crucial, (AC) as all Electric-type moves from grounded Pokemon are boosted by 50% under the summoned Electric Terrain. Choice Specs significantly boosts the power of one of Tapu Koko's attacks; however, locking yourself it into a move that the foe resists can be taken advantage of by opposing Pokemon.

Usage Tips
========

When using Tapu Koko, it is often important to lead with it, as setting the Electric terrain early sets itself and its teammates up for success by applying immediate offensive pressure. Be cautious of other Terrain setters such as Tapu Bulu and Mewnium Z Mew. While the latter requires a good amount of setup in order to function, the former can immediately be switched into Tapu Koko, switching the terrain conditions and lessening the prowess of Electric-types overall. Tapu Koko needs to continuously pivot out through the use of Volt Switch into its teammates in order to keep momentum and reset the Electric Terrain, if necessary. Tapu Koko also functions well as a revenge killer, so bring it in on slower, weakened foes and Volt Switch out to continue your momentum while also taking minimal damage from the opponent opposing Pokemon's attacks. Tapu Koko is absolutely threatening against Dragon teams for its capability to revenge kill nearly any unboosted Dragon-type such as Kyurem-Black, Hydreigon, and or Garchomp with the combination of Dazzling Gleam and HP Hidden Power Ice. Alolan Raichu benefits the most from Tapu Koko's Electric Surge, as its Speed is doubled under Electric Terrain, (comma) Because of this, Alolan Raichu can threaten letting it take on revenge killers that would otherwise threaten Tapu Koko in a one-versus-one one-on-one scenario, such as Choice Scarf Greninja, Choice Scarf Nihilego, and Sand Rush Excadrill under sand. In return, Tapu Koko deals with Dark-types such as Mega Sableye that Alolan Raichu can't easily break. Rotom-Wash provides an excellent defensive capabilites partner for Tapu Koko to pivot into out to, as it is able to avoid Ground-type moves through Levitate, retaliates against them through the use of Hydro Pump, and cripples physical threats such as Mega Lopunny and Mega Garchomp through the use of Will-O-Wisp. Zapdos is another physically defensive presence for Tapu Koko, being able to partner that can avoid Ground-type attacks while also checking physical setup sweepers in such as (unless it's literally just these two) Mega Scizor and Tapu Bulu because of its excellent defensive typing. It also provides solid Defog support that can clear hazards for Tapu Koko, allowing it to take as minimal damage as possible from them. Magnezone offers its ability is able to trap problematic Steel-types such as Excadrill, Celesteela, Klefki, and Ferrothorn and revenge kill them with HP Hidden Power Fire or an Electric move. The former two are especially important to trap, (AC) as Choice Scarf Excadrill has the capacity to revenge kill Tapu Koko with Earthquake, while Celesteela can scout for any move Tapu Koko locks itself into by using Protect and then makes an appropriate action. Alolan Golem provides solid Stealth Rock support that can break Focus Sashes and chip opponents opposing Pokemon for Tapu Koko to sweep. Alolan Golem also provides physical prowess for Electric teams, and is being able to check specially defensive tanks that Tapu Koko can't break through easily, such as Chansey and Alolan Muk. Thundurus is a mixed attacker that can assist Tapu Koko in besting Steel teams with the combination of Superpower and Thunderbolt, while also having the potential to play a support role through Prankster Thunder Wave and Taunt. The combined powers combination of Thundurus and Tapu Koko forms a fast, offensive VoltTurn core as a result. Hidden Power Ice is a coverage option against Ground-types such as Garchomp and Landorus that prove to be problematic for Electric teams. Taunt acts as an anti-lead option, preventing entry hazards such as Stealth Rocks Rock and Sticky Webs Web from Chansey and Ribombee, preventing foes such as setup from Mega Latias and Volcarona from setting up, and also prevents general utility moves such as Zapdos's from using Substitute and Toxic to stall Tapu Koko out. U-turn is the main pivoting option over Volt Switch, being able enabling Tapu Koko to switch out into a teammate that can efficiently check the foe, especially against Dugtrio, (AC) that which can trap Tapu Koko and take advantage of it using an Electric-type move.

Maximum Speed and Special Attack allow Tapu Koko to hit as hard as possible, as and fast as possible. A Timid nature permits Tapu Koko to reach its maximum speed of 394, speed tying Speed tie with Aerodactyl and Crobat while also outspeeding Greninja and Dugtrio. Magnet allows provides extra power to an already Electric Terrain-powered (AH) Thunderbolt, hitting anything that doesn't resist it very hard (RC) without worrying about recoil damage from a Life Orb. Electric Surge is Tapu Koko's only usable ability, setting up the Electric Terrain and boosting all Electric-type moves by 50%.

Usage Tips
========

Tapu Koko is generally a great lead, since it can set the Electric Terrain, Taunt shut down utility foes such as Chansey or and Forretress with Taunt, or U-turn out of unfavorable lead matchups because it's naturally faster than almost everything. However, other Terrain setters such as Tapu Bulu, Tapu Fini, and Mewnium Z Mew can remove the Tapu Koko's Electric Surge set by Tapu Koko Terrain. Also, the Electric Terrain in general fades away after a few turns. Make sure you pivot out into another teammate consistently to keep your momentum and reset the Terrain (RC) if need be. Avoid extra chip damage from entry hazards and status, especially from Toxic Spikes, as consistent exposure to them cripple cripples Tapu Koko and lessen lessens its ability to freely set the Electric Terrain. Continuously pivoting out with Tapu Koko and its teammates as key, as is key to have the opponent takes opposing team take constant chip damage from the combination of VoltTurn while also keeping and keep momentum. Keeping Electric Terrain up is critical for the success of any Electric team, as this set lacks the power of a Choice Specs or Life Orb (RC) and relies on its teammates to break faster foes. Because of its natural speed, Tapu Koko can revenge kill weakened threats through its Thunderbolt. While Tapu Koko must constantly provide Electric Terrain for its teammates, it should not take excess damage, especially since Tapu Koko's its bulk is rather subpar.

Alolan Raichu benefits immensely with Tapu Koko around, as the Electric Terrain summoned doubles Raichu's its Speed, making it the fastest presence on the field. During the time Electric Terrain is up, Alolan Raichu (RH) can check common scarfers Choice Scarf users such as Greninja and Nihilego, as well as weather sweepers such as Excadrill and Alolan Sandslash. (RH) Tapu Koko further provides aid by Taunting utility foes and pivoting back into Alolan Raichu, creating opportunities for Alolan Raichu to set up a Nasty Plot. Rotom-Wash provides Tapu Koko with a check to Ground-types through Hydro Pump, as well as an additional immunity to them their STAB attacks in the form of Levitate (RP) Its and the ability to also cripple physical attackers such as Scizor and Mamoswine through the use of Will-O-Wisp threatens many Physical attackers, such as Scizor and Mamoswine. Zapdos provides Tapu Koko with defensive capabilities, including a very solid defensive typing that ignores Ground-types (RC) while also being solid and Defog support that can remove entry hazards such as Toxic Spikes that can chip away at Tapu Koko. Magnezone traps problematic Steel-types such as Ferrothorn, Klefki, and Excadrill through its ability (RC) Magnet Pull. It then and proceeds to remove them through the use of HP Hidden Power Fire. Trapping and knocking out Excadrill is especially important, as Tapu Koko takes a larger support role with this set. Alolan Golem provides Stealth Rock support for Electric teams, breaking Focus Sashes and gradually chipping away at the opponent opposing team. Alolan Golem It is also one of the few physical attackers that Electric-types teams have available, and as such it can break through special tanks such as Chansey and Alolan Muk, a task that Tapu Koko would have difficulty with. In return, Tapu Koko can use Taunt against anti-leads and Defog users looking to prevent Stealth Rock, such as lead Aerodactyl and defensive Mew. Thundurus is another physical attacker available to Electric teams, and primarily assists assising Tapu Koko in breaking the Normal core of Chansey and Porygon2 through the use of Knock Off and Superpower. It also helps against Steel- (AH) and Psychic-types such as Excadrill and Latios. Mega Manectric allows for provides a more immediate answer to physical attackers in the form of Intimidate. Its additional access to Fire-type moves such as Flamethrower and Overheat provide provides more of an offensive measure to bulkier Grass-types such as Ferrothorn and Tapu Bulu. Zeraora is also a physical Electric-type but stands out from others for being incredibly fast, and as a result naturally outspeeds outspeeding offensive threats such as Mega Lopunny. It also does not have to worry about being cannot be blocked by Ground-type foes, (AC) especially Dugtrio, (AC) as it which can trap Tapu Koko if locked into an Electric-type move. However, U-turn is considerably less powerful than Volt Switch due to the lack of bonus power from STAB or Electric Terrain (RC) and makes Tapu Koko more susceptible to contact damage from Rocky Helmet and Iron Barbs. Life Orb can be substituted for Choice Specs on that particular set in order to choose moves freely.

**Status and Residual Damage**: Chip damage from entry hazards, (RC) status conditions, and even its own Life Orb and status conditions (figured this was warranted given orb is only in oo now) set a timer on Tapu Koko, lessening its opportunities to deal damage and set its Electric Terrain.
