'Ello. If you're reading this, I would assume you're planning on reading the rest, for the purposes of helping me improve my team... or stealing my sets. But regardless of why you're here, IF you're here, please continue reading. I'm having a difficult time with this team, and although it peaked me at about 2k/50664, I have some problematic pokes that I would like to either repurpose or dispose of. So, with no further ado (Or smartassery), I present to you:
TEAM CFP!
So. Yea. I'm not going to bother with the team building process. I add and remove stuff as I go, and I always found it slightly pointless anyways. But, I do like to see "Team at a Glance" previews. So, that being what it is, here you go.
So, yeah. There you go. Let's take a peek at them in-depth!
Hendrix @ Lum Berry
252 Spe/252 Atk/4 HP
Jolly
-Dragon Dance
-Double Chop
-Brick Break
-Earthquake
Ahhh, Haxorus. The best damn offensive lead ever spawned. It's simple to use, as well. If I see the opponent has a lead that's not pure offence, I simply Dragon Dance. If they SR and then attempt to para/burn/sleep me, I simply Dragon Dance twice. Once I've got +2 Spe. and Atk, Haxorus rips holes the size of Uranus (hehe) in anything not named Skarmory, Slowbro, or Gliscor. Double Chop is for STAB, as well as having the handy ability to break Sash and still kill, break substitutes, and break Multiscale. Yes, people do switch Dragonite on a +2 Haxorus. I don't know why, but they seem to enjoy it... Anywho, Brick Break isn't exactly my favorite move on here, but it's pretty damn helpful when they've got Reflect and Light Screen up, and everything I do is doing half damage. It also helps out with Snorlax and Blissey, although they're barely ever a problem. Perhaps Thunderpunch, if he gets it? Not sure. EQ is obvious. Dragon + Earth beats pretty much everything that's not steel/flying (Read: SKARMORY) or something that levitates and is a steel type (Bronzong). But, yea. I'm pretty happy with Haxie's set, but I'm open to suggestions.
The name Hendrix comes from the fact that he's f*cking awesome and is killer with his axe. (Sadly, most of you won't get that joke.)
Stone Free @ Expert Belt
252 Spe/252 Sp.A/4 HP
Timid
-Rapid Spin
-Hydro Pump
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt
I'll be perfectly honest here - Starmie isn't that useful. "WHAT?" you may cry. "STARMIE ISN'T USEFUL? HE REMOVES ENTRY HAZARDS!" you say. Well, you're correct in the fact that he does remove entry hazards... however, my team doesn't really give a flying shit about entry hazards, aside from Dragonite, whose multiscale it breaks. Other then the whole RS thing, Starmie isn't that useful. Special only, gets walled easily, far too fragile. He's like an extremely crappy Deoxys without the Superpower, massive ATK and Sp.A, and far lower speed. Help me remove him! I'm thinking of replacing Starmie with Moxie 'Dos, and Virizion with Celebi, so I still have a special attacker and a physical one. Hell, I could just make Virizion a special attacker. Anywho, that's why you're helping!
I am rather satisfied with the name, though. Stone Free? On a starmie? Hehe.
Free Bird @ Shed Shell
252 HP/252 Def/4 Spe
Impish
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Whirlwind
- Roost
Skarmory, the entry-hazarder/phazer/BP ruiner. Tanks pretty much anything physical and lays down a ton of hazards. Replaced Jirachi.
Slurp @ Leftovers
220 HP/252 Sp.A/36 Spe
Modest
- Nasty Plot
- Giga Drain
- HP Fire
- Recover
Alrighty, I replaced my Virizion with the suggested Celebi. It's working like a charm so far! Recover helps with the bulkiness thing, HP fire and Giga Drain have great coverage and deal good damage, and Nasty Plot is obvious. Thanks for the help! (Haven't come up with a good name yet.)
Breakin' the Law @ Leftovers
252 HP/128 Def/128 Sp.D
Adamant
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Roost
Normally, I absolutely love this set. It combines great coverage with great defense and great offense. However, I've run into an increase in Skarmory lately, which seems to seriously troll the hell out of 'nite, setting up 3 layers of spikes and SR, then whirlwinding me away with impunity. However, barring Skarm, this set still absolutely rapes. So, yeah, not much else to say. Give me suggestions!
The nickname is due to the fact that both the song and Draggy-nite are BADASS.
Iron Butterfly @ Chesto Berreh
152 HP/252 Sp.A/104 Spe
Timid
- Quiver Dance
- Bug Buzz
- Rest
- Fiery Dance
Only does well with Starmie having Rapid Spin. Otherwise, he's screwed. Not much to say about him... I like the bulk, though.
Name is kind of obvious.
Threat list coming soon!
