Team Dragonzord

Hey Smogonite, this is either my 3rd Or 4th RMT. No more stalling ima get down to the team. So, the main idea here is to get take out Rachi Counters so he can sweep. I'm starting to get the hang of this game again but, I missed round 47 of the smogon Apprentice Program so whatever ill try to catch the Next one. Now on to the team.

In Depth Look At The Team

Metagross.png

Metagross @ Lum Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Atk / 32 Def / 8 Speed
Nature: Adamant
- Meteor Mash
- Bullet Punch
- Earthquake
- Explosion
Okay, here you have it. Your standard Anti-Lead Gross basically. This is one of the best bulky leads ever designed, capable of beating almost every other lead with its combination of attacks. Bullet Punch is a priority move that will ruin sashes of suicude leads like Infernape and Azelf. Earthquake is for OHKOing Infernape and 2HKOing other Metagross and Shuca berry Heatran.Explosion is a great choice, as you'll outspeed most Pokémon, and it will OHKO most targets.

Heatran.png

Heatran (M) @ Coice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs:40 HP / 252 SpAtk / 216 Speed
Rash

- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power Ice

- Earth Power
- Explosion
-------
The purpose of this set is for Heatran to revenge kill many fast Pokemon with its amazing resistances and power. It can stop many powerful sweepers from sweeping, like SD Lucario, Mixape, NP Azelf, etc.Heatran is one of the most popular scarfed Pokemon and having 130 special attack, 77 speed, STAB Eruption and a boost in Fire Attacks by coming in on a common Fire attack! Because of all of this, it´s no wonder why heatran is popular today. Most people stick to Fire Blast because of Erupton´s drawback, but Heatran is meant as a revenge killer, so it should be at full or near full Hp.

Untitled2-1.png

Jirachi
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252HP / 216Def / 40Spe
Moves:
- Calm Mind
- Wish
- Flash Cannon/T-Bolt/HP Ground/Grass Knot
- Psychic

Hmmmm. Like i Said in the begining the Idea of this team is to get rid of Jirachi counters and let him do the dirty work. This set was created quite a while ago, and it changed the metagame dramatically, with the ability to heal itself with wish, and the great immunity to Toxic, Jirachi is a force to be reckoned with. Ok, that Third Slot I tried just about everything and they all seem to be good. But, i dont need Grass Knot, Celebi already cover Swampert. T-Bolt, No because Rotom-C Has Gyra Down. HP Ground let me deal With Heatrans/Zone Better. Flash Cannon, for the Extra Stab. IDK You guys help with that.

Swampert.png

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 Def
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Ice Beam
- Earthquake

While Swampert may not be in the lead spot anymore he's still here and still sets up Stealth Rock. Earthquake is for STAB and Ice Beam compliments it very nicely and if Pert has enough HP it will be able to take out Salamence. I had Protect and I'm still thinking about putting it on but Roar helps against pokemon that set-up and Baton Pass teams. Changed the EVs to have max defense with a point in special attack.

Rotom-C.png

Rotom-c @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/68 Def/188 Spd
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Will-o-wisp
- Trick
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball

It has admirable speed and defenses and this set puts them to good use.IDK where i found this set out but it looked Pretty decent. None the less This is My Defensive-TrickScarfer. I Had the Original Defensive version but Trick Plus WOW Works Very well. T-Bolt & Shadowball For coverage.

251.png

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/220 Def/36 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Thunder Wave
- Grass Knot
- Recover
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Celebi, What can I say Defensive Celebi, here to Tear the [BIDOOF] off of Breloom. Moreover, this is one of those Pokemons which do that paralysing business for me. Grass Knot and HP Fire for Coverage

In Conclusion, I would really not like to replace Celebi or Jirachi because those where to core of my team so anything else would be gladly appreciated. Thank You. So Far on Shoddy it has like an 21-5 Record

Threat List. Only have 2 ATM Will put the rest up Later
Machmap: The Lead Machamp, any Machamp Really It just Annoying
Heatran: If It Scafed. Go to T-Tar On any Move Except EP

Hey I got your message, lemme help you out here.

On Jirachi, I wouldn't run HP Ground personally- Thunderbolt's probably your best bet for bulky waters.

You're pretty weak to Lucario, because, if Rotom dies (which will happen quite frequently against teams with Lucario as they usually also pack tyranitar to pursuit) he can outspeed and kill every member. Also HP Grass Heatran is no good for this team. To fix this I would run Gliscor over Swamper, as he counters all 3 of the above and can still set up SR and absorb paralysis. You do lose some coverage on Salamence however.

I have no other suggestions- good team and good luck.

I had gliscor then I changed it for Swampert TBH

...I don't really see the point of Earthquake Heatran, since with your EVs it does the exact same damage vs Tyranitar when compared to Earth Power.

On Jirachi, you really want T-Bolt imo, it has great neutral coverage and is wonderful for bulky waters.

I am really NOT liking that Heatran set. SubLO is bad bad bad unless its on Gengar, but gar has Pain Split. Try going Leftovers instead of Life Orb and just run:

Heatran @ Leftovers | Naive | 4 Atk/252 Spe/252 SpAtk
Substitute | Lava Plume | Earthpower | Explosion

Or if you want Life Orb, just do Life Orb and 4 Attacks.
Heatran @ Life Orb | Naive | 4 Atk/252 Spe/252 SpAtk
Hidden Power [Grass] | Lava Plume | Earthpower | Explosion

Thats all I really got, pretty solid team.

Good luck.

@ Alan:I Like the Heatran idea but, I Just placed a Scarf on it to deal with those Lucarios.

@ Toxic Sporks: I like the Gliscor Idea but, wouldn't it just be better to put a Choice Scarf on Heatran to Deal with that problem.

Er yeah actually, that also works as a revenger, but he's only a check. Of course that is a solution though, you could bait a crunch/ice punch and bring him in.

I pretty much just stalking my buddy Toxic here so let's see what I can do...

I would use pert for lead and save Champ for later. You can also either get rid of Bullet punch for Substitute and change Lum to Leftys becuase it's not a lead.

Um.... you need to run Iron Head for Flinch Hax. IDC if CM boosts SpA, they'll send in a blissey and then get Flinch Hax-ored

Since your swampert is going to be lead, I would personally run Waterfall over roar for more type coverage.

That's about it. Good luck on the team!

I'm pretty much trying to do the ANTI-LEAD Theme for the team so if you can come up with another good Anti-Lead that would be Greatly appreciated

Ok, Gliscor was good but Swampert just does a Better job there IMO. So thanks for the Help Toxic Spork.

Anymore Help would be Appreciated

Heatran.png

Heatran (M) @ Coice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs:40 HP / 252 SpAtk / 216 Speed
Rash- Quiet

- Eruption/Fire Blast
- Hidden Power Ice / Hidden Power Electric / Hidden Power Grass
- Earth Power
- Dragon Pulse

IIRC eruption heatran can only be quiet,
I think (:

2nd Bump, Still cant find the Eruption, for heatran anywhere im thinking maybe they havent implemented it yet so for now im using standard scarf-tran but im using that one on teamuber

This is worthy of being put in a sig rofl.

Well for the team...
U could always run a differant item on Metagross because u have Heatran to Soak up those Fire attacks for you anyway. Its not that hard to predict when the flamethrower is gone come =P.Id suggest u take a Lum as it should help a lot in Metagrosses quest of Anti-Leading =P.

As for Heatran i say screw hidden power.Hidden power grass is mainly for Swampert and for having something to do aginst bulky waters.U have the best Swampert countering pixie in the game and Lawnmower Rotom can bluff Leafstorm as well. But mainly Celebi is gona do its job.Electric is for Gyra which is easily checked/Semi Counterred by rotom so pointless as well. Now Hp ice can be useful "A bit" but if Dragon Pulse does its job right its somewhat pointless. And id deffinetly take Fire blast because erruption simply isnt reliable enough. And the hidden power slot goes to Explosion. Not only does it give the opponent a taste of how those damn americans keep getting blown up by Al-kaeda but it should also help all around for anything u cant counter.Seriusly...Explosion ftw.

For Jirachi Deffinetly T-bolt.Its 10x more useful than any of the other attacks.Flash cannon wished it could ohk0 Gyra.

Swampert is kewl as well ^.^ .Even if u ran Tackle,Headbut,Bubble Beam and water gun Swampert would still be kewl.Because he is a kewl pokemon.

Well i am wondering about that Will-o-Wisp but no comment because i never actually tried it and seems quite good.U dont need stuff like Leaf Storm or Overheat anyway....Hydro pump would be kewl tho.

Celebi also seems okay but i would ask you to run some more special bulk..I havnt used celebi in ages so cant remember any particularly good spread..Sorry =L..

Well this is a great team and i cant find any partcularly dangerous threats (Most of the things just get exploded on rofl).Sooo Gl ^.^

First of all, I can see that your team is heavily Ground Type weak and vulnerable to Tyranitar. A strong Ground type move can silence your Metagross, Heatran and Jirachi. If you think a Celebi and Rotom-A can easily stop this, you are dead wrong. A Choice Scarfed Tyranitar will deal 73.3% - 86.6% damage to Celebi and 156.2% - 184.3% damage to your Rotom-A. Ah, see you have made it a Scarfed Rotom-A and added Will-O-Wisp on it to stop the pesky Tyranitar...ah, but a Tyranitar using Pursuit on a fleeing Rotom-A whilst under the burn status will deal 77.7% - 92.6% damage to it, now with Stealth Rocks and Sandstorm damage, that is a OHKO most of the time.

Removing either Heatran or Metagross is a good idea as it will better prepare your team for Ground Type attacking sweepers, such as Scarfed Flygon which will outspeed your Scarfed Heatran. Having two pokemon that take Super Effective damage from Dark Type attacks is not good either, so removing Celebi or Rotom-A for something else will be better suited.

Your Jirachi is good, and should definetely use Thunderbolt over the other moves as it OHKOs Gyarados and hits high damage to many others. Unfortunately, Eruption can only be used on a Quiet Heatran, which is not a good idea for a Scarfed Heatran which is the only type of Heatran which is best suited for using Eruption which makes Eruption pretty much useless. Besides that, Scarf Heatran is not too viable these days, and is better off as a Subsituting Heatran or something else that better suits your team.

Your team is also highly "U-Turn" weak as a Scouting pokemon can quickly and effectively search your team for any dangers and threats to its team and respond appropriately in the coorect manner, but this is something contreversial and is a difficult matter to attend to.

Anyway, a nice team!

I dont see how hes in anyway Ttar weak..Yah Ttar can trap Rotom but thats pretty much it...Swampert walls both DD and Scarfed Tar and Banded too if necessary....We need to see more bandedTars nowadays ={...Heatran can also do a large amount of dammage with earthpower as it outspeeds and Metagross can Survive a +1 EQ anyday and can ohk0 back with Meteor Mash and can also Revenge it with Bullet punch..

I Never really had a Problem against T-Tar. N00b Lyf3, is right that what i do if i see a T-Tar. So yea.

But, If anyone has a Extra HP-Fire Celebi can i Get it trying to use this team on wifi but the hp-fire celebi has to be on the team if im gonna use it, or i can use shaymin if necessary. Wel, Celebi and Rotom-C
