I'm kinda speechless after watching that. It was so good

I agree with the throwable sapper; I just get more and more excited for this release.

Actually, the fact that the words "leaked video" appear in the video suggests that Valve was successful in getting their fanbase to promote their video for them. Within an hour of the video's "release," it was posted to dozens of different video sites.

Meet the Spy is now available for download on Steam.

I'm more impressed by the sapper's new ability to instantly destroy sentries.

The only gameplay "hint" found in the Meet the Spy video (other than the hats) was the fact that the scout at the beginning is holding the sandman, suggesting that spies will be able to appear to enemies as holding unlockables rather than always defaulting to the standard loadout. Besides that, I'm wondering whether Jarate may be an unlockable that makes a certain area inaccessible to cloaked spies.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the new watches, especially the cloak and dagger. Usually my preferred tactic when assaulting the last point of badlands is to lurk around the last point without attacking anything until the moment that it's unprotected, and having the ability to cloak indefinitely will make that a lot easier.

I've spent ages laughing at walkers posts, brilliant.
im interested to see what the Melbourne supremacy achievement entails, probably killing the sniper
 
I really wish I could play this, but my POS computer would die if I tried to run it. I think I'll pick up the Orange Box but I don't have XBox Live access, so...
 
As suggested in the Jarate chop achievement the shield is probably also a meele weapon, or just takes the place of the meele weapon.

That or this update has two secoundary weapons like the spy recieving two new invisiblity powers.

I'm gonna love me some Jarate.

Why didn't you buy The Orange Box when it was $9.99?

I started playing TF2 again after not playing for months. God I forgot how much I love this game.
 
Awesome that Spy video was incredible! It actually seemed like a short movie! Spy is definitely the coolest class!

God I can't wait for this video to be released for download on the 360!

Never really saw a point in it, and I'm not huge on FPSs... I'm likely going to suck at this game, assuming my crap laptop can even run TF2.

yep. I liked getting them through achievements but getting drop items just seems out of place.. you can even get repeated weapons, my pyro has two flare guns, but for what? :/
 
I left my game on overnight as spectator on a server that doesn't change maps, already got a couple new weapons that way :)

(yes, you can get weapons and unlocks as a spectator or even by staying afk in the spawn)

what? this is absurd..

if they have any shred of common sense left they'll remove this in the next update
 
I didn't mind the achievement one because people could unlock all the weapons in a few minutes on achievement servers if they wanted, and people who actually cared about achievements could do it the way they wanted too. This...this is just silly. Why not just give everyone the items when they update? Everyone *wants* the items, just *give* them to us.
 
Medic and Spy are the only classes I could've actually gotten the weapons using achievements and they changed it just now? Man, Valve hates me! The three medic weapons are the only ones I have. I got 9 of the Spy achievements yesterday. More than Heavy, Pyro, and Scout combined >.>
 
Hows the update boys? My comp is in the shop, havent been able to play :(
 
So I tried playing my first few matches of TF2, only to find that my failure laptop's integrated card can only handle me running around. Alone. Anything involving multiple teammates/opponents or even me shooting blindly into the air with no target results in a framerate crash, turning the game into a wonderful slideshow.

:( This is why I dislike PC gaming... still, it was somewhat fun while it lasted.
 
right click, set launch options, set it to "-dxlevel 80" and also go to graphics options and set everything to the lowest setting.
 
Unfortunately I had already done that, as I assumed my computer wouldn't be able to handle it that well. Better luck next time I suppose.
