Team questions and ratings

hey, i'd like some help setting up my new team. at the moment i have:

Bronzong
dpiconani437.gif

Nature: Impish
Ability: levitate
Item:Leftovers
252 HP, 52 Attack, 204 Def
-Earthquake
-Hypnosis
-Confuse ray
-Gyro ball

Bronzong is a favourite of mine, and is pretty good at what he does. I can switch him in block garchomp, and the confuse ray can give me a bit of time to get hypnosis to work if im lucky.

Gengar

Nature: Modest
Ability: levitate
Item: ??? reccomendations please
252 Special Attack, 252 Speed, 4 Hp
-Shadow ball
-Focus blast
-Thunderbolt
-Grass knot

My team before was almost exclusivley physical sweepers, and even as a noob, i knew that wasnt going to work. Gengars massive special attack stat appealed to me, and i thought that with focus blast i could clear out most metagross', weavile's and tyranitars, and also put a dent in blissey.

Weavile

Nature: Jolly
Ability: Pressure
Item: ???
252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 Special defence
-Ice punch
-Ice shard
-Night slash
-Brick break

Again, a pretty obvious way to go. the ice shard Is there in if im up against somthing speedier than i am and im down to low HP. For the last moveslot i was going to go with Brick Break. It gets coverage on quite alot, but i still wasnt sure wether to go with it. any different suggestions? Also, im using expert belt at the moment, is this a good way to go?

Hippowdon

Nature: Relaxed
Ability: Sand stream
Item: left overs
252 HP, 252 Def, 4 Attack
-Earthquake
-Stealth rock
-Ice fang
-Slack off

My physical wall, and the only pokemon on my team with a recovery move. i think i need to adress this. I chose ice fang because i hate garchomp, and Crunch in case somebody switches in a Gengar to block earthquake.

Heracross
dpiconani214.gif

Nature: Adamant
Ability: Guts
Item: Flame orb
252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
-Megahorn
-Facade
-Close combat
-Areial ace

Pretty unimaginative, i know, but i like Heracross alot and this seemed a pretty solid way to go

Now the last slot is tricky. I'm thinking of going with either:

Glaceon
dpiconani471.gif

Nature:Rash
Ability: snow cloak
Item:Leftovers
252 Special attack, 252 Defence, 4 HP
-Shadow ball
-Ice Beam
-Wish
-???

Basically, i would use him to get some HP recovery for the team. I invested so many Defense EV's so he could hold on during a switch in or until wish is ready. the special attack is So he can pass the time effectivley. should i use protect for the free slot?

Or i would use

Tyranitar
dpiconani248.gif

Nature: Modest
Ability: Sandstream
Item:???
252 Special attack, 252 Hp, 4 Defense
-Rock polish
-Dark pulse
-Taunt
-Ice beam

I thought a special sweeper would be funny for tyranitar, and pretty unusual. the rock polish will get me ahead, and tyranitar's raw power will easily keep me going. the only problem is, i sacrafice the HP recovery i would have gotten with glaceon. But i do love tyranitar, so its hard to choose.

im pretty inexperienced at battling, so i could really use a hand. if you think that my team need complete re-arranging, please tell me so, and give me a good reason why so that i can look at different options.

all suggestions would be helpful, and dont foget the hold items!

P.S i will be online on the 16th of august, so if anybody wants to come battle, that would be great.

Thanks for your help!

4 outta 6 of your pokemon is weak to fire. Give Gengar Hypnosis and energy ball/thunderbolt. weavile's last slot should be pursuit/brick break. scarf gengar because its modest. explosion over confuse ray on bronzong

or you could go with, ya know, flame orb hera, he kills gliscor as well, and what's more, he actually does damage aferwards. wait, that's a shitty idea, because flame orb hera has crappy defenses and is too slow.

what was I thinking?

Make Heracross hold Ganlon Berry over Choice Scarf, and switch Megahorn for Natural Gift. It becomes a Physical Ice attack with 80 Base Power. This counters Heracross' counter, Gliscor xD

If you dont know that strategys; i require you go to youtube NOW. lol ive known that strategy forever but it never works and taking out one of your major stab moves sucks.

Natural gift hera really isnt where you wana be, also you dont want to take off his best attack for it. Megahorn stab is essential in my mind on heracross. Take of stone edge because of the similar coverage if you want to run natural gift rofl. Hera isnt a great lead either imo, Add SR on zong and lead him. I dont see how sandstorm benefits anything here either, and since you dont play stallwars it doesnt hurt them a ton either.

Stealth Rock > Confuse Ray on Bronzong, as Confuse Ray isn't gonna be as much helpful as Stealth Rock can and will be. I would suggest running 252 HP / 128 Atk / 128 Def @ Relaxed, I don't understand why Impish when you're running Attack EVs and Gyro Ball. Life Orb or Choice Scarf are good options on Gengar, with LO you hit way harder, but I would suggest using Timid over Modest, since you want more Speed. I don't see the use of Energy Ball tbh, I woud rather run HP Ice for random Garchomps, which is always more helpful than Energy Ball. Weavile could run a Choice Band, he's a very effective user of it, and CB Ice Shard hits hard, so I would find replacing Ice Punch useless and maybe you should run Pursuit over it, so you can hit switchouts hard.

I don't know, MixApe seems trouble to this team, HP Ice variants seem to be the most trouble. I would suggest running Starmie / Vaporeon over Glaceon, Starmie can Rapid Spin, and counter MixApe and Gyarados, and so can Vaporeon, but Vaporeon can Wish Pass and keep the team healthy, either one does a good job.

i gave it impish because i was fed up breeding and thought i'd leave it there. in retrospect, not the best plan

Weavile should hold Focus Sash since it's Defences are pathetic. I think that if you ever met a Fire type with HP Ice/Water than your team wouldn't take much time to take out, especialy if Hippo is gone. you might want to consider a bulkie water type like Milotic or Vaporeon to fix this problem. Also Fighting types run unstoped by your team so you might want to use Starmie as long as it knows Psycic
