How so. When Yanmega can beat it.
usually I try to be nice to new members but seeing as I'm 99% sure you're just a raquan95 alt I'm not going to bother. okay, just because shaymin can't switch into yanmega doesn't mean yanmega beats it. in fact, yanmega can only switch into seed flare, as hp fire OHKO's and psychic 2HKO's and shaymin is faster until the first speed boost, which he aint getting if he switches in. on a double switch, hp fire easily beats yanmega.
Lol Specs shayman cant come in on many things here only Celebi when im stuck on Leaf storm. Also I have yet to face one but with a little prediction I should be fine I think.
okay, this reply annoys me basically because you're disregarding everything I said without even looking at the facts. first things first, let's list all the things shaymin can come in on.
~celebi's leaf storm, hp ground, or psychic
~suicune's calm mind or surf, also substitute or ice beam if shaymin is at high health
~garchomp's earthquake (fire fang or even outrage don't ko even after eq, and shaymin OHKO's you)
~metagross's pursuit, bullet punch, or sr. also meteor mash if shaymin is at high health
~heracross after a sleep talk.
that's 5 out of 6 of your pokemon he can possibly come into
he can also pretty much revenge kill everyone except swords danced garchomp, suicune with cm's behind a sub, or yanmega. so basically, he also outspeeds everyone except garchomp and celebi and yanmega after a speed boost. so like, let's assume you and your opponent are of equal skill (luck) and outpredict each other the same amount of times. basically, everytime you outpredict shaymin, you take a little damage and he is forced out. not too bad for him. every time he outpredicts you, you lose a pokemon. that's pretty bad. and of course, if shaymin is at low health and he doesn't feel like predicting your switch, he can easily rest and come in later, further giving you issues. and that's of course only the choice specs shaymin. and of course once suicune and garchomp are gone or weakened he can just hp fire with no fears or worries. subseeders and lategame sweepers basically just have to throw up a sub on your switch and then you lose a pokemon, prediction or no prediction. so yes, you ARE in fact weak to shaymin.
now that I've wasted my time pointing out to you that you are in fact weak to shaymin because you weren't competent enough to look at the facts, I'll try to tell you a few more reasons that scarftran is better for you than scarfcelebi. while he basically is able to come in on everything shaymin packs, he also makes a much more powerful, reliable revenge killer and lategame sweeper since his 120 bp stab has no side effects. the way I see it, you have celebi here to take out gyara, something suicune can easily do with hp elec > ice beam, and for surprise. of course you lose all surprise once you post a team, so that's pretty worthless. but heatran allows you to revenge kill reliably. he allows you to come in many times on that glaring triple (quadruple atm) fire weakness and punish the opponent with double stab fire blasts. he allows you to blow up since you are so reluctant to blow up metagross. he gives you an answer to hypnosis/protect/bugbuzz/airslash yanmega, who atm is pretty mean to you as well. so like, heatran is a good choice over celebi not only because of shaymin, but that shaymin weakness being patched up sure is a nice incentive as well.
so like, don't disregard everything I say immediately. I actually do know a few things.
