So I've heard ( Idk if it's factual but hypothetically speaking ): Manchester United have received the green light to go ahead to bid for Inter's Sneijder . If this is true and we do get sneijder . He'd be the more than ideal replacement for scholes but unfortunately people like gibson and ando this will hurt . Anderson is imo frustatingly talented but doesn't get much chances to shine . :'( What are your views?

my views is that he's world class but fergie will have to build the team around him. He's an attacking midfielder and is usually played in a 3 man central midfield which is rarely used by ferguson who prefers a 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 when Rooney drops deep.

The point is that I think Modric would be the better option because he's already proven in the english Premier League and can attack AND defend which is crucial in a 2 man central midfield or they'll be exposed.

same thing can be said about Nasri who hasn't even played in the middle for arsenal (he played as a winger most of the time).

Sneijder's also very expensive (£35m fee and £250k per week), not sure he's worth the prices thrown around.

Modric > Sneijder > Nasri IMO

mexico vs germany u-17 may possibly be one of the greatest matches (or at least heart pounding) that ive ever seen

mexico 1-0 at min 3 by julio gomez

then germany ties at min 10 with a nice goal by yesil

then at 60 the captain of germany dribbles through 2 players and scores an incredible goal, 1-2 germany

then a fucking incredible olympic goal OLYMPIC GOAL DUDE 2-2 (and i fucking missed this one because i left my room for a sec)

min 89, fucking overhead / scissor / bicycle / whatever you call it kick for the 3-2 and mexico is in finals

man that match..... man

so moreira, former benfica goalie, is going to swansea

i can vouch for him, he's been with benfica for ages and if it wasn't for a shitty injury by now he would be the portuguese goalkeeper of choice

he's definitely a solid choice for swansea, i hope he makes it to the starting 11 :D

Aren't Man U in talks with Bayern about trading Berbatov + money in order for them to get Bastian Schweinsteiger? If this is true I really don't think they'll end up pursuing Sneijder.

WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE

:kongler:
(course he'll be starting - we have no de vries!)

also, what the hell is with the hate for Mancini? He was given one target: get in the Champions' League, and he's done it. Yes, he has cash to splash (though how much influence he actually has over transfers i dunno?) but he's also got a team full of absolutely mental histrionic twats who are on far too much money and the fact he's actually managed to make them into a cohesive team and get results is pretty impressive to me. I think I might have slagged him off earlier in the season, actually. I take it back!

Unbelievable. That goal was entirely manufactured by the refs. Red card, penalty kick, re-kick. Games shouldn't be decided by that bullshit.

Yeah, that was easily one of the most dramatic finishes I've seen in a while. It's a shame that Marta and the brazilians are gone as some of their players have some great personal talent, but obviously they just couldn't handle the US today, getting 2 very questionable goals and still not even winning.

Seriously though, ever since going down to 10 it just looked like the US had some force behind them, you could just feel they had another goal in them and they may have left it late but they got it.

not gonna lie though women's football is pretty poor. i watched the women's fa cup final and it was like watching scaled up ping pong

The german women national team played 1:1 against Osnabrück's(3rd league!) U15 team. :D

and just another question, because I had an discussion with other german football fans: would you prefer neymar or thomas müller for your team?
