Gen 6 The "Are my Pokémon IVs and Nature good?" Thread

So I have the following RNG'ed legends from 4th Gen:

Rayquaza, Jolly, 31/31/31/1/31/31
Darkrai, Timid, 31,17,31/31/31/31
Kyogre, Modest, 31/31/31/31/31/31
Ho-Oh, Adamant, Pressure, 31/31/30/5/31/31
Mewtwo, Timid, Pressure, 31/31/31/31/31/31
Lugia, Bold, Pressure, 31/31/31/30/31/31
Shaymin (S), Timid, 30/3/30/31/31/31 (HP Ice)

I was wondering if any of these were still viable? I toiled a long time for these, and I'd hate for them to never be used.
Ray is somewhat usable but you really want the event one with vcreate.
Darkrai yes
Kyogre yes
Ho oh needs regen
Mewtwo yes
Lugia needs multiscale
Make sure you teach shaymin earth power

Well, good thing I can grab Ho-Oh and Lugia from the Dream Radar. Still would hate to have to release them.

As far as event Ray goes, thank pants for raw .PGF files and Mystery Gift Editor. Those are okay to use, right? I mean as long as the cards themselves aren't directly edited.

All are still viable except for Pressure Ho-Oh (who obv. prefers Regenerator 100% of the time). Lugia and M2 will take a lot more Foul Play damage with 31 in Atk, but that's honestly negligible. I am envious of your collection.

EDIT: Does Lugia never run Pressure anymore? Multiscale is probably a lot better with Defog, tbh.

defog isn't compatible with multiscale

Can you soft reset for regen ho-oh from radar?

I'm getting tired of trolling the GTS for one. Best I got was careful.

Um, is there any merit to careful regen ho-oh?

So is Lugia from HG/SS basically not worth RNGing for since it'll always have pressure? Wondering if I should bother RNGing it. So far I've RNGed Jirachi, Zapdos, Palkia, Kyogre, Latios (not the roamer one, the Enigma Stone event one), and Suicune in Heart Gold. That leaves me with all three roamers, Rayquaza, Lugia, Mewtwo, Articuno, and Moltres. Should I bother RNGing any of the remaining legendaries? I'm guessing just Mewtwo (not even rayquaza since it doesn't have V-Create).

You really do want Lugia with Multiscale - Pressure can be beneficial, but Multiscale is generally better. So I wouldn't bother RNGing it. Mewtwo is basically the only one worth RNGing (Rayquaza can run Earthquake/Fire Blast instead of V-Create on a DD set though), and I'd definitely RNG for a Mega Mewtwo X spread, since Low Kick and Drain Punch are BW2 tutor moves. And you can get Palkia in HG/SS? I didn't know that - Palkia <3.

Hmm, so I shouldn't RNG for a Mega Mewtwo Y, just an X one? I guess I'll just RNG Mewtwo and Rayquaza then, Latias is in White 2 so I'll RNG it there. And yes, the entire dragon trio is available through the event where you need Arceus. Thanks for the reply by the way :)

Oh you can RNG for both MMX and MMY - it's just that MMX is more important (and the Mewtwo in XY is pretty great already if you don't have time to go through HGSS twice). And no problem!

Edit: No, MMX and MMY shouldn't be compared like "better vs. worse" but rather it's more advantageous to get a decent Mega Mewtwo X in HGSS due to the ability to get Low Kick and Drain Punch via BW2 move tutor (or else you just have Brick Break as a Fighting-type STAB option). Mega Mewtwo Y can get all the moves it wants / needs simply via level up and TM.

What can I do with a Bold Rayquaza? Not a useful Nature for it, but it's all I've got atm. I'm not very likely to get a Mild or Jolly one anytime soon, if ever at all.

You know what? I think I might keep this. Even though I'm good at it, SRing is still a pain-in-the-ass. Took me about 4 1/2 hours:

Timid Articuno

Is 25 a big difference from 31? I don't think it is. It has all the stats to be a good subrooster. Special attacker wanted HP Ground or Fire anyways.

I would just get rid of it simply for the fact it is caught in a Master Ball, Dive Ball fits it so much better. It looks nice, but I would honestly keep going until you get Hidden Power [Fire].

Bold sucks. It's probably one of the worst natures you can get. Sorry :/ You can probably try to run a normal set on it anyway, since in game it doesn't matter very much.

No offense, but that's not the answer I was looking for. I'm well aware that its not a great Nature for Rayquaza (as I mentioned before). What I was Asking is what can I still use for it: What EVs should be invested in, what Moveset and What Item should it grasp? Even with a bold nature, its IVs are still "relatively superior" and its Attack stat remains perfect. I didn't really find it that bad since it only affects Ray's Physical attack, when its Special One is still damn good. I thought it might be at least slightly ok to run a Specially Offensive set or even a Defensive Set that would at least compete against OU Pokémon or Occassionally Other Ubers, even though Ray isn't allowed in OU (this is in-game so it's not really applicable). But since I'm not an expert on this stuff yet, I decided to come here just to be sure.

Also, I wanna use it in Multiplayer to beat up my Friends and on Free Battles Online, so it technically still will matter for me, just not as much as it would for the Showdown Ladder. I don't think I'll get a Rayquaza with a better nature anytime soon unless I get lucky enough to find someone generous enough to give one to me for my Bold One. People on the GTS are liars and even some people on forums here and Serebii.net can also lie (even if I report them and get them banned, they would still have my Pokémon and might refuse to give it back).

He answered your question perfectly. Your rayquaza has a completely counterproductive nature to what rayquaza wants to do, which you admitted you recognize. Go to the analysis and pick any set.

Can someone answer my question? I'm trolling the GTS for regenerator Ho-Ohs and not having much success at all, so i'm wondering if its possible to soft-reset for the dream radar pokemon. I need to know if it would be more productive to just borrow someone's heart gold because this is just bad.

Well... first off, a defensive set is out the window - Rayquaza is one of the frailest Pokemon in Ubers, and has no business running a defensive set. The thing is that, Rayquaza is much better suited for running physical sets - special sets are (in my opinion) outclassed by Palkia (better typing and Speed), and its boosting moves both benefit its Attack (Swords Dance and Dragon Dance), while it cannot reliably boost its Special Attack. Again, if it's ingame, then nature/IVs don't even particularly matter, so just run a standard Dragon Dance or Swords Dance set anyway.

If your Rayquaza has V-Create, then try a set of Swords Dance / Dragon Claw / V-Create / Extreme Speed, with 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe.
If it doesn't, then a Dragon Dance set is still viable - Dragon Dance / Outrage / Fire Blast / Earthquake with 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe.

Or something like that. If you want to trade for a Rayquaza, start breeding flawless Pokemon in XY and try to build up a shop / work on projects for other people and see if you can eventually get a good Rayquaza - I just got an Adamant Regenerator Ho-Oh with 31/31/31/x/31/31 IVs last night by doing this.

Yeah, that's extremely difficult to do especially when there is no RNG abuse.

FYI Zygarde is Zy-garbage in Ubers. But that's still a great catch. My guess is that the speed is probably okay.

You're as fast as uninvested base 91s with a 23 in Speed. The only scenario that sucks is always losing to Gliscor, who can Taunt + Toxic to ruin your party. But you shouldn't stay in on him unboosted regardless.

5 iv Modest Xerneas!!

But....

9/31/31/31/31/31

190 hp instead of 201 hp at level 50... should I keep it? I know how hard it is to get a 5 iv one with the right nature but how bad would it be with that low hp iv? Would its perfect def and special def ivs make up for its hp?

Thanks ;_;
