Ooh good day.

Though it brings to mind the Gabba last time we toured Aus..

[edit] - also it mat seem harsh, but it seems to me that any swing bowler worth his salt can get north out the way southee did whenever he wants too. The fact that NZ couldnt do it in the first test is mostly to do with the rubbish they bowled. I think he should be dropped, let Hughes come in down the order..

Have a nice day.

Yeah New Zealand did well, although I think Australia can bounce back like they did against WI and Pakisatn. I also agree that North should be dropped is not in the best form and doesn't have age on his side. Although not too sure about Hughes, his good but his lack of consistency concerns me. I'd probably prefer seeing Steve Smith replace North as having another spinner would be useful and I think he deserves a chance.

Very good day, NZ finally have some sting in their attack. The Ponting run out helped a hell of a lot though. Losing a wicket before the end of the day made the day slightly less good though.

I think he'll find consistency wont be such a big problem at 6 as opposed to opening. The dude is obviously full of potential, and I dont know that much about Smith, but Hughes is a batsman as opposed to an allrounder, and with Watson in the team, that's more like what you need IMO..

Wow that turned into one hell of a sentence.

Have a nice day.

Well Steve Smith got an batting average of 77 in this years Sheffield shield whilst Hughes managed an average of 56. Smith is also used to being Mid-Order and that's why I think he deserves a chance.

Oh yeah, I am pretty sure that Sinclair is going to get 200. Just because he is ridiculous like that. It's inevitable.

Have a nice day.

Hip = wrong so far.

Out of interest, how has Sinclair done this season in domestic?

Oh and NZ are doing pretty average so far. The tail will need to stick around with Taylor for a while to get a decent advantage. Tbh we pretty much blew the good bowling performance judging solely on how we've done up until now.

Not such a good day today..

Sinclair been much the same as he always is.. Gets hundreds basically every other time he goes out to bat.

Have a nice day.

Not just a hundred. An 81-ball century is definitely a bit special. Nice work by an obviously classy bat.

Shame no-one else could get a partnership happening. Aussies could probably claim that day as theirs with 0-35 on the board at stumps.

NZ gonna need to bowl well.

Interesting note. Taylor's century was the fastest by a New Zealand player, beating his captain Daniel Vettori's hundred off 82 deliveries against Zimbabwe in 2005.

Very nice. Gotta pay that.

Oh and I'd rather see Smith in at 6-8 over Hughes in the middle order. He needs to be in the top order, even number 3 when Ponting retires might be a possibility.

So like there's no tests on atm. This makes me sad, because looking at IPL scoreboards every morning is not my idea of fun.

well delhi better not fuck it up again.

those seeing as they like streaking their wins and losses, i say they should win it from here!

World T20 starts at the end of the month, so it must be that time again...

This should be more fun than the IPL because the tournament only lasts for 2 weeks, and nearly all of the players are recognizable.

I'm SO in. And determined not to lost internet connection in the middle, or just generally make a fool of myself again :)

Virender Sehwag and Umar Gul are both out of World T20 due to injury.

However, Murali Vijay is a monstrous replacement for Sehwag on current form.
