Tbh Morgan has always looked like a far more technically solid batsman to me. I mean sure they can hit big, but save that for the ODI/T20 stage, since it's not an issue in tests (unless your name is Adam Gilchrist). I'm glad Morgan has done pretty well on debut so far (40* iirc).I want more players like Luke Wright to play in tests. When he made his ODI debut in 2007, the way in which he put up a partnership with Owais Shah, taking the team to 316 from 92-4 and a 50 in debut made me predict that he is the next master blaster. He proved his capabilities even more in T20 World Cup 2010. Definitely Morgan deserves a chance, but I feel Luke Wright deserves the chance even more.
I completely agree. I remember him bowling pretty damn well in the Ashes (2005 was it?) and then I never saw him again. I'm also quite sure he's not that old. Has he been performing in the county scene over the past four years?Simon Jones(I still have the faintest idea on why he was dropped)
100% agree, Andersen has been fantastic over the past year. Him and Onions is a pretty decent opening pair, and maybe with Sidebottom or (I hate to admit it) Bro(BAN ME PLEASE)ad and Swann backing them up, England's bowling lineup is looking good.I'd also take Andersen over Sidebottom any day.
