The Everything NHL Thread

When they're healthy, Calgary will become a serious threat. Bertuzzi is gone for a good month, but how far away are Bourque and Langkow? In any case, the projected lines are gonna be scary (something like this?):

Cammalleri / Jokinen / Iginla
Bertuzzi / Langkow / Bourque
Glencross / Conroy / Moss

IIRC, Langkow is day to day and Bourque is out for the season.

Speaking of Glencross, that guy creates offense every single shift he's on the ice. Such an outrageously good player that always seems to hit the post or narrowly miss the net too much; that doesn't matter though, he is so monumental.

One thing they might do to mix things up (since bert and iggy are amazing on the same line):

Bert/Joki/Iggy
Squidward/Lang/Glencross
Lundmark/Conroy/moss

Lundmark is on a SERIOUS tear right now. By the way, I call cammalleri squidward because everyone seems to call him calamari and it is just a natural segway. Kind of like how Huselius was named Juice by our city cause he looks like beetlejuice.

Also, holy fuck at the numbers leopold has put up this season. I had no idea how good he had become since leaving calgary as a failure some years back.

Edit: Jesus, 5-1 against phillie. 2 goals for jokinen, one for leopold. Iginla carries on his goal scoring streak! That team is looking solid.

There was never really a doubt that Glencross was a good player, but he's even more fragile than Gaborik.

He hasn't had any injury problems since playing for Calgary, so Gaborik must be one tough hombre.

Olie take a look at the schedule. The oilers last two games are against Calgary and from the look of it, those two games will determine edmontons playoff fate. I'm excited for those games.

So, I guess I will be the first to let any of you know, but your boy Psycho here is a Division 3 College hockey National Champion!

And I dont know what else to say since it hasnt really sunk in yet...

However, I took my lap with the cup, had some of the best champagne of my life in the locker room (also the cheapest but I couldnt tell) and drank beer and seagrams 7 straight from the cup, ill get some pictures up eventually and also pictures of my day with it too...

Calgary blown out in back to back games against fucking Carolina and Atlanta. To be fair, Carolina has outscored oponenets 14-2 in their last game, so they are on some sort of tear.

Calgary had Moss out (dead grandfather), Langkow, Giordano, Bertuzzi and Bourque. So, our entire second line and then some is out and a brand new center on the top line. No wonder things aren't doing so well...Oh well, a truely talented team should be able to work through a bit of hardship, especially with the touted depth in our prospects.

nice job, bro

i'm guessing you didn't let them pull any cheese goals, right?

they fixed that with the most recent patch.

on that note let's just hope he didn't pull a pookar and get 24 minutes of interference penalties

Gratz Psycho, awesome achievement :D Can't wait for the pics.

On a dutch hockey note, our season is over, lost game 5 (best of five) at our opponents place. Wonderfull season we had though, including winning the dutch cup (different from winning the league playoffs).

Proud to be a Nijmegen Devils fan ;)

and sorry for the 7-1 carl, this is my revenge for last years fantasy final.

That's about as retarded as atlanta trying to win still. At what point do you just give in and try your best (or worst) to get the best spot in the Tavares lottery?

We're fucking 4 points behind Tampa for the worst spot. We need Danis to get hurt or something, because we're going to lose Tavares (like I thought we would). Seriously, we're 9-2-2 in our last 13 at home, can we go on the road more please?

On the plus side Gordon's offense finally seems to be clicking, and some of our young guys are being fucking awesome. Iggulden has 3 points in 2 NHL games, Okposo is finally living up to expectations, and our other guys are pretty cool too (Bailey springs to mind immediately, and while Tambellini is no Parise he's producing). I can't wait to see what happens if we get Tavares and a healthy DiPietro next season.

There's a few guys that are UFA's next year Aldaron, such as Leopold and I think Pronger and Niedermayer too. If you pick up one or two of those guys to help mentor that young defense, you might do well in the final stretch next year as an islander.
