Biron gets signed for one year to the Islanders.

A nice little "fuck you" by Snow to DiPietro, it's like saying "Well our supposed number one is probably going to be injured again so let's just make sure our asses are covered!"

Kinda seems like overkill with both Biron and Rolly - kinda surprised Biron signed, cant imagine he sees much time behind DiPietro and Rolly. If he was just gonna back up he coulda probably done better... weird. Speaking of goalies, Gerber is replacing Emery, team and all, in Russia. I feel badly about this mostly because Gerber is adorable to watch sit and pout on the bench :( Come back soon!!

Also in fantasy news I notice we haven't really talked about move limits yet - I have seen a lot of leagues use 40 and looking back at our league last year it seems like it'd be a good number. Trade don't count against it, so I can't really see any reason we'd need more than that.

Last year for reference: Aldaron (60) Bender(45) WER (35) Teifu (33) Green (33) Jackal (32) Carl (32) Zerowing (20) Arti (18) Stall (10)(?) Moi (8)(?) Psycho (7)

I think Psycho actually made more trades than FA moves which is pretty pro lol

lol in my league, we had a 20 trade limit. Of course the league was full of (BAN ME PLEASE)s who either couldn't come up with a serious deal, or just didn't want to trade.

Haha, seriously Justin, that'll be a confrontation I would like front seat tickets for... good acquisition if it doesn't self-destruct though, as much as I have to laugh at them trying to trade for all their own old players...

Dubinsky thing is pretty interesting if they get him, since he had a pretty good shot of centering Gaborik... Rangers won't like losing him much if they do, but as an RFA I doubt they will. Hopefully this becomes one of those infamous Rangers overpayments.

I just kind of came back and browsed a bit of the last few pages, but I don't think I'll be playing fantasy this year as it was mentioned a few pages back. Though I am posting to belie any suspicions that I committed suicide!

In any case, though my vote really doesnt count, the keeper league seems the most interesting and as far as NHL 10 goes, I am unsure on picking it up on release or not.

Excellent, I guess I'll get right on that! In other news I got my ring today, Ill get a picture up in a minute or two.

Well I guess Boston is no longer (if they were still) interested in Kaberle, now that they signed Derek Morris to a 1 year 3.3 mill deal (lol).

I can't see them getting much out of Kaberle, anyway. At least not for whatever they were planning on paying him. I think Morris will fill the void left by Ward quite nicely.

Kind of hockey related, Charles Wang held a meeting for the Lighthouse Project (which is the building project that will keep the Islanders on Long Island) yesterday. Among the people who showed up to give their blessings were the bishop of Long Island (literally) and Gary Bettman, who was apparently greeted with... cheers?

But yeah hopefully this will get the project going. I don't want to see the KC Islanders. =(

Not quite, but really, with a Cardinal for a mascot you cant really differentiate too much

and that is the university.
That is the football team

EDIT: Also seeing WERs post I feel inclined to say that because Long Island cheered Gary Bitchman, the Islanders will be moving within hours...
