The Everything NHL Thread

Philly has been playing better, albeit against a pretty weak schedule. They've won 5 of 7, including one today against a good Ottawa team. Bryz needs to continue his high level of play if the Flyers want to do anything in the playoffs, assuming they get there.

As an aisde, I hope Pitt plays that back-up goalie again on Thursday against my flyers. Betty White could do a better job in goal.

Dougie Hamilton's reads would be amazing even if he wasnt in hus first 20 games in the nhl...

Dear god he could be amazing when he develops

Refs are a fucking joke this season. I am actually furious at the load of shit that's been happening this year.

I think the Oilers might be the worst team in the league and probably headed for another #1 pick.

Wouldn't be surprised. Our lack of a viable defenceman outside of Justin Shultz (Smid's good, but more for blocking shots and hitting) and a coach that has no idea what the hell he's doing is really hurting this team. I'm expecting the Oilers to make a rather big move on April 3rd just to wake this fucking team up.

And if we do get another #1 pick, Seth Jones will make for a nice addition to the team.

When your coach decides to play all passers on overtime powerplays, refuse to shake up the lineup during losing skids, consistently throw players like Nail Yakupov on a line with two of the worst players in the NHL in Eric faceoffsonly Belanger and Ryan giveaway/dumbpenaltyking Smyth, and give Corey makestheAvsdefenselookgood Potter regular time on defense. You deserve to finish last. When your team decides to sign Ryan Smyth and Corey Potter to 2 year deals, Ales Hemsky to 5 million per season, refuse to trade Ryan molasses Whitney, and go with Devan WTFisconsistency Dubnyk as a #1 goalie. You deserve to finish last. When you combine both these dangerous solutions together, you start a reaction that creates an end product equal to the biggest waste of talent in the NHL. An idiot coaching staff and an inept management group, two equally toxic components that feed off each other's incompetence and back up each other's stupid decisions. I'm seriously done with this team's pathetic upper brass. The Oilers are going to dwell at the bottom of the league standings unless Lowe, Tambellini, Krueger, Buchberger, and every one of these buffoons are fired. While we're at it, waive all the players who hurt our team just by being on it like Potter, Smyth, Belanger, Whitney, and Horcoff, maybe we can even win this game if Detroit picks up Potter and Smyth on waivers and plays them against us.

Oh.

His name is Jonathan Drouin and is eligible this year.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRv3HzgsZr0

I'm more excited about him than I think I ever was about any other prospect.

Not to be confused with Xavier Ouellet, the guy in my signature who according to NHL.com, comes from Montréal, Québec, France.

Yeah I was looking at your signature instead... Already wondered what you were using (and I didn't even notice the France part on there).

Drouin really does look good and he will definitly make a push for the 1st overall pick (years of predictions for MacKinnon/Jones as 1&2 might be wasted).

Want to make a "Yakupov" out of him? Prepare to bid Vineon :)
