The hidden characters of Soul Calibur 4 are...

I hovered my mouse cursor over this thread and thought it was a joke thread until i noticed it was in Renaissance.... and it was made by Surgo? Then I clicked the link. What the fuck ever.
Don't mix star wars with soul calibur seriously what the hell :(

wow, what the hell is this. I'm a big SC fan, but oddly this doesn't make my blood boil one bit. Maybe because it's Darth Vader. Cool concept though, albeit random.

What is wrong with Namco/Bandai. How can soul calibur, set roughly in the 17th(?) century, be blended with star wars...

EDIT: Vader will be in the PS3 version and Yoda will be in the Xbox 360 version. Hahaha...

Seriously they have like a thousand "Tales Of..." and Tekken characters to choose and they put Star Wars shit in it?

Well at least I am laughing at

Link > Vader

Nothing can beat that Hylian green clad monster.

I originally thought it was a joke too though.

I'm actually kinda exited about them being in. I don't see why people are mad/whatever, because Snake "didn't fit" in Brawl at first either.

But still, mixing lightsabres and force weilding with swords and metal armour? Come on...
Fans like me will tell you that Lightsabers don't always cut through metal. They are resisted by "Vibroblades", so if you accept that lightsabers can exist then these can too.

If you face the reality that lightsabers don't actually exist the it doesn't make any difference. It's just a game, they can make whatever they want happen :P

EDIT: Also, to all the fans who are saying "Aww, this is going to make soul calibur go downhill. We want the same as all the other soul caliburs games"
- You wonder why we don't get much variety in video games. Whenever designers try to think outside the box you whinge at them.

I won't debate if lightsabers cut steel, or if it makes sense mix them up (since previously Spawn, Link and Heiha-something were in).

Is just kinda absurd, they try to get these characters to hype the game, but is not even stylish, it would be for a game with a crazy roster like Smash Brothers, but other fighting games really try to have coherence in their roster or at least...logic. Just...what the hell?.

...lol

I like all the Soul Calibur games, but I feel like the overall quality has gotten lesser each time

I agree, Soul Calibur III wasn't that good.

i beat firestorm

I don't see the big deal either, so what if lightsabers would theoraticaly gash through the sword, the shield, the armor and the body of its target, it is not like Varder will win in one blow. Star Wars characters in Soul Calibur probably make no sense at all but then again a dude in white gi throwing fireballs at a man that can strech his limbs and spit fire does not and neither does a little girl pulling mallets and kattars out of hammerspace to fight a big fat guy swinging an iron ball, and no one complains.

I got the dude in white gi, but which game does the little girl come from?
