The importance of Blissey and Special Walls

In advance, the only special attackers of any real consequence were Raikou and Zapdos.

In DP these two are much easier to counter, but there have been a huge surge in the power of other special attackers, with the addition of Nasty Plot. As well as a whole bunch of knew special types..

I guess that is another significant change in DP. The types that are effective against the most other types are Fighting with 5, Ground, Fire, Ice and Rock with 4. Fire is super effective against 3 of the least common types (grass, bug and ice), and that leaves only ice representing special..

Have a nice day.

About the Slowbro/Slowking thing, Slowbro is like an Special Curselax with Calm Mind. Slowking can use Curse to boost its defense, but its attack is lower that it's special attack. If there was an attack that boosted both SpAtk and Def, I'm sure it'd be on par with Slowbro.

Ever since advance, you could use just resistance and a bit of defensive EVing to wall physical stuff, but special stuff always needed Snorlax or Blissey. In DP, it's Blissey and Cresslia. You could probably pull off victories without physical walls like Skarm and Weezing by using resistances, but not special walls. Special Pokemon are generally better at sweeping too: Raikou, Azelf, Alakazam etc.

Is that, "Special Stuff needed Slorlax or Blissey?" or that "all you needed to have was Snorlax or Blissey?"

Im probrably gonna get Mocked soooo much, but I have recently found, through SB, that Blissey isnt amazing, and I have beated 10+ with Crobat

Admitedly my Crobat is a special one, but still, it is a Crobat. And it can take down Blissey :D

Umm, there are a lot of physical attackers that can take down Blissey. That doesn't really say much, since it is a special wall. It doesn't mean it isn't amazing at what it does, which is absorbing special attacks.
