Match
A match is a composition of multiple games. A match is over when one trainer wins two games.
Both players send in a team of 3 Pokemon.

Game 1:
- The ref flips a coin (or rolls a 1d2, you get the idea) to select who is "T1" and who is "T2"
- T1 strikes one of the five arenas
- T2 strikes two of the remaining four arenas
- T1 strikes one more arena
- The round is played on the remaining arena
- T1 is first sendout

Games 2+:
- The winner of the previous round gets to strike one arena
- The loser of the previous round picks one of the remaining arenas
- The round is played on the selected arena
- The loser of the previous round is first sendout

Game
B3P2 Singles
72h DQ, 1 Warning
Abilities: All
Items: ON
Switch: OK
Megas: 1
Z-Moves: 1
Substitutions: 3
Recoveries: 2 per Pokemon
Chills: 5 per Pokemon
Arena: Variable
Special Rule #1: The game ends when the first KO is scored. The trainer of the KO'd pokemon loses that game.
Special Rule #2: When you send in your team, if a Pokemon has access to more than one form-changing item or attachment: submit one (1) form-changing item or attachment to your ref. The item you submitted to the ref is a secret. During battle, you may not attempt to equip form-changing items or attachments, other than what you submitted to the ref.
Tiebreaker rules:
  • KOing an opponent through a self-KO move or Destiny Bond grants them the win
  • KOing an opponent through a move that results in your Pokémon ENKOing grants you the win
  • KOing an opponent then taking recoil that KOes you too grants you the win
Mt. Thunder
Zapdos’s nesting place is constantly struck by lightning descending from dark and looming thunder clouds. The unstable weather requires careful preparation and anti-electricity measures.
  • The BAP of all Water-type moves is reduced by three (3)
  • Default weather is Thunder Clouds
    • Thunder Clouds makes all moves cost two (2) extra EN
    • Thunder Clouds paralyzes all active Pokémon when it changes directly into Rainy
    • Thunder Clouds sets Electric Terrain for three (3) actions if a damaging move whose name contains “Thunder” is successfully performed. This effect cannot be refreshed
Codifications
Camouflage: Rock
Nature Power: Earth Power
Secret Power: Decreases the target's Speed by one (1) stage.
====================
Windswept Valley
This plateau is assaulted by bolts of lightning and ferocious winds. Zapdos is known to come rest here if it needs to recharge, as these bolts greatly power the bird.
  • All Pokémon are under the effect of Motor Drive
  • The damage formula treats Speed boosts and drops as being Attack/Special Attack boosts and drops for the last section of the damage formula.
    • Moves such as Stored Power and Punishment do not count the Speed boosts twice
  • Speed boosts decay half as fast, Speed drops decay twice as fast
Codifications
Camouflage: Normal
Nature Power: Thunderbolt
Secret Power: Paralyzes the target
=====================
Eye of the Thunderstorm
In the exact middle of the Windswept Valley, a small area is unnaturally calm. It would almost feel relaxing to stand there if not for the massive tension in the atmosphere, wanting nothing more than being released.
  • Thunder can hit Pokémon in the evasive stage of Dig. If it does, it ignores the target’s Ground typing
  • Moves with “Wind” in their name have their BAP increased by three (3)
  • Moves with “Wind” in their name set Tailwind for three (3) actions when successfully performed. This effect cannot be refreshed
Codifications
Camouflage: Psychic
Nature Power: Psyshock
Secret Power: Decreases the target's Defense by one (1) stage.
=====================
Sea of Clouds
Above the dark thunder clouds is a calm sea of pure, fluffy, white clouds. Careful, though, ascending winds are pretty strong here, and you don’t want to get caught in one!
  • No Pokémon can Dig
  • Fly and Bounce always have their full BAP, but their Accuracy is capped at 70% if using the evasive version
  • Hurricane gets 100% Accuracy
  • All sun-based moves treat this arena as being in harsh sunlight
Codifications
Camouflage: Flying
Nature Power: Tri Attack
Secret Power: Paralyzes the target
======================
Static Airfield
A giant black thundercloud blots out the whole sky. Although it doesn't look like it will thunder any time soon, the immense static charge it exerts can be harnessed by Pokemon to create an electrical current of their own.
  • After using a damaging [Electric-Type or Normal-Type] attack, the Pokemon gains one Electron. Damaging Normal-Type attacks by Pokemon with Electrons become Electric-Type attacks
  • If the user has any Electrons while using an Electric-Type Contact attack, then increase the move's BAP by 3 per Electron, ignore immunities to Electric moves granted by Abilities and Types, remove all Electrons from the user, and give the target one (1) Electron
  • Roost removes all Electrons from the user
  • Electrons do not persist through switching
Codifications
Camouflage: Electric
Nature Power: Thunderbolt
Secret Power: Paralyzes the target

Name Etymology: Belle Star was a famous outlaw of the American west, known for riding side-saddle in a singature black dress and habit while shooting with uncanny accuracy. Attitude and Motive: Prone to irritibility. Fixates overmuch on what hasn't gone her way. The side heads often say out loud what the center one wants to keep private. History: Bellistar is her collective name, and she insists on being addressed singularly. Hatched from an egg early into her trainer's journey. Each of Bellistar's evolutions brought forth a new constant annoyance and a wealth of unfamiliar feelings and thoughts, in the form of a new head! It has taken years of patient training to help help her bring her unruly new siblings in line with her eldest, center head.

nature ( +Defense, -Sp.Attack )
Typing: Rock/Dark
Abilities: Sand Stream HA: Unnerve
"
Name Etymology:
A historical bolt-throwing weapon, named the Domina Gunilda, mounted to Windsor Castle in the 1300s to repel intruders. The name spread to other large projectile emplacements, becoming synonymous with heavy artillery and the usage thereof.

Attitude and Motive:
Confident and conceited. Gunhilde is happiest when she's able to throw her weight around and hold dominance over her surroundings.

History:
Gunhilde's previous trainer was interested only in her utility, putting her to work in heavy labor. Following his arrest, Gunhilde languished in storage before making her escape the first time she was released from her ball. She lived within city limits for months as a feral Pokemon, wracking up quite the hefty bounty in property damage taking what she needed. Rather than hand Gunhilde over and claim the reward for her capture, Lou offered her a place in his team.

Lightning cracks and thunder rumbles here, as we are trying to get hold of the mighty Zapdos! It looks like Lou decided to bet on stats more than anything else, bringing three absolute stat blocks to the field! Meanwhile, shadowpea has a blend of Pokémon with possibly different niches, but more synergistic possibilities. It might be difficult to get past Lou's impressive roster, though!
Let's not fret any longer. It's coinflip time!

Coin flip: 1-5000: Lou | 5001-10000: pea

Whipping up a sandstorm in a highly pressurized area does not seem like the best idea to me but hey, I'm no meteorologist.
Both battlers decide to slug it out, with shadowpea crucially forgetting to activate their own Eject Button, which gets promptly stolen! Lou can get a Pokémon in for free and likely finish off Zeraora, which stands at a measly 32 HP and sand still up. Not looking good for the underdog here, but Zeraora might have just enough tricks to dodge a KO this round.

We start off this match thunderously, as the second verse seems close enough to the first. This time, though, shadowpea manages to gain the upper hand as Zeraora executes a magnificent breakdance combat move and sweeps Tyranitar's Eject Button right off its, er, hands... Paws... Claws? Forearms thingys! It can now pivot out to a teammate to hopefully finish the job, which might prove daunting in the face of Tyranitar's sturdy defenses.
It is certainly a much better start for shadowpea, but both teammates have a shaky matchup against Tyranitar so watch out!

Lou was fully prepared to take advantage of Tyranitar's bulk to set up an overwhelmingly favorable situation and peace out, but alas. An untimely crit allows Aurumoth to KO by piling on residual damage, netting exactly 48 HP over the course of the round. Little doubt that Lou will be very nonplussed about this, but it keeps our audience entertained by going to the fabled match 3! Could this be shaodwpea's comeback??
