Bushes and flowers are abundant in the arena, releasing a delightful scent that makes most Pokemon want to stop what they are doing and bathe in the smell. Ancient Tree

Exhausted from your battle efforts, you continue to plod on the path, wondering when this ordeal will end. Lost in your thoughts, you don't realize the huge shadow that you walk under; soon enough, however, you realize it and look up, gasping in awe. A magnificent tree lies before you, wider than three Snorlax lying side by side, and higher than the eye can see. Seeing a hole in the base of the tree, you crawl in excitedly, wondering what lies ahead. While you're still crawling within the tree, you encounter a fork—one that goes left, and one that goes right. Which way do you go?

Player Options
a) Choose the left fork
b) Choose the right fork

Ancient Tree

You choose the right fork, quickly crawling out. As soon as you stand up, you feel a couple objects fall on top of your head and onto the ground. You pick them up and, to your delight, find that they are some Elemental Gems! You pocket them and carry on.

+2 Grass Gems

Rustling Grass

As you venture deeper into the meadow, you notice that the grasses become more and more unkempt, as if no gardener has wishes to enter this area. This is somewhat disconcerting, especially as the hue of the grasses turn from fresh greens to that of yellows and darker greens, like that of a savannah. As if to exacerbate your discomfort, you realize that some of the grasses tend to rustle about in contrasting motions to the wind, giving the impression that there are things hidden in there. You eventually reach an area of this grass where you see two patches of rustling grass—one to your left and one to your right. The one of the left seems to rustle with greater frequency but with smaller magnitude, but you never know...

Player Options
a) Enter the left patch of rustling grass
b) Enter the right patch of rustling grass

You cautiously enter the right patch of grass, not knowing what to expect. Suddenly, the rustling around you increases in volume, seemingly getting closer as you step further into the patch; this doesn't seem to be a good omen. Before you get to ponder the implications of this rustling, two small creatures—you realize that they are Snivy—suddenly pop out from the brush and attack you, eager to test their battling prowess. As you prepare to send out your Pokemon, another two rush out and glare at you menacingly, while surreptitiously pushing the Snivy back into the grasses. It seems that these Servine will protect their younger siblings quite fiercely.

Viper Pit

Marching through the grass at a fast pace, you find that the terrain goes up and down, with an incredibly powerful wind blasting through the air; then, you stumble upon something rather shocking. A ravine, seemingly carved into the ground by some deity, impedes your path. A large log bridges the gap, while vines coat the ravine sides. There seems to be a path veering down the ravine, indicating that there is a crossing further up as well. Of course, flying across the ravine is an option, although it might be risky. As far as you can tell, these are the only ways to cross this ravine; which will it be?
Player Options:
a) Cross the log
b) Advance down the path
c) Climb down the vines to the ravine bottom

IF A Pokemon with Fly is currently active:
d) Fly across the ravine

You clamber onto Lucius, and fly across the ravine. The winds, however, are quite heavy—the ravine mimics a wind tunnel, and as you fly across you take a great beating from the winds. You manage to make a crash landing on the other side, but you wonder if the snakes really were so bad.

Sheer Shears

As the huge tree behind you grows smaller and smaller, eventually disappearing into the horizon while you walk, your intuition begins to get a sense of... danger. Not a second after you realize this, a sharp shear of air suddenly cleaves the area before you, striking the ground barely a foot from your location, creating a plume of dirt clouds that cause you to cough and splutter. As the clouds clear, you see two paths before you; one is rocky and has quite a bit of foliage arching over it, while the other is smooth but easily visible from the top. As you take this in, however, you see another disturbance in the air—a rippling, translucent blade flying in an arc towards your team. It seems that the rocky one will be more difficult to traverse, but might just provide enough cover for you to avoid these shears; taking another second to think, you deduce that since these paths probably lead to the same area, so perhaps you could split up if you wanted to...
