: Tbh, I’m not a fan of this prim set because it’s not torrent and that’s what gives prim actually good trading capabilities + hits pex with pnoise and a free item slot but it does have 1 funny use case in that it completely turns the tables on a seemingly horrible pex mu, allowing for prim to lure it in and allowing stuff like band Weav or mlop to go nuts. Besides that it does usual prim things in weakening down balances early to mid game but the difference is it breaks down pex balances a little easier. Here is the pex calc:
+1 252+ SpA Primarina Shattered Psyche (140 BP) vs. 248 HP / 48 SpD Toxapex: 350-414 (115.5 - 136.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

because this Prim suffers against gking a lot (one of the reasons I don’t like the set), this is the ideal choice for a teammate. It also benefits from prim luring in pex which is cool. It pursuits stuff like Ogerpon-w, iron crown, and the aforementioned gking which makes prim’s job a little easier. Besides that, it clicks knock into stuff like ferro and corv which makes prim more threatening since it doesn’t have truely powerful water stab.

Lumping these 2 together because they are the defensive glue of the team, and there’s not much to say about them.. Lando is the obligatory ground which stops volt switch spam from happening which is good and also provides a rlly nice temporary check into stuff like gouging and mlop which is nice for offense. We are fast taunt Lando to capitalize on getting the jump on bolt which is good for prim and to deny hazards and whatnot. Crown is our steel and provides a fairy resist which helps against lele and ival among other things like koko, which helps out Weav a lot on top of future sight + pivot support. Both provide a nice defensive backbone to fall on for prim’s… pretty low longevity and ability to be overwhelmed easily. Also, both are nice countermeasures into bolt together and insure the team doesn’t lose to stuff like lop, koko, or ival.

I was coping with the loss of zama as speed control but this is still a rlly good pokemon in its own right. Its speed control which is good but it also improves offense mirrors / ho, including field effect offenses like rain and sun, tenfold. It’s also good offensively, demolishing dark stuff like Weav and Darkrai while also threatening Ferrothorn for prim. What makes lop especially dangerous here is that prim sets up or lures two of mlop’s / weav’s better checks in pex and mola which then improves lop’s already good offensive prowess.

This thing is such good glue for offensive teams it’s unreal. It provides a check to many things like heatran, Volcarona, Ogerpon-W, rain, sun, you name it. Although the sets have been pretty self explanatory so far, this one isn’t as obvious so I’ll explain it. Ice spinner helps not lose to Lando and Glisc while dwb helps ko stuff like woger and mlop which is important because this doesn’t have roost. Tera steel also exploits stuff like mola and Weav super well which is cool against bulky offenses. Beating fires and waters also eases prim’s susceptibility to falter to them long term despite its resists to them, while dnite also being a good check to Kartana, Ogerpon-W, and serp for prim. In return, prim can lure in pex while also baiting in dragon moves from chomp and gouging which makes them much more easy to play around.
Once again, I’m sorry for being late. I’ll do better to get something up earlier next time.
