Challenge The Scramble Challenge - Mark 2

@Mulan15262 — Accepted, but I'm pretty sure the trio gym leaders don't work that way (the way it works is that I fight the leader whose type opposes that of my starter) and I'm not sure if it's possible to trade before the 1st gym. At any rate, it sounds like a fun challenge, even though Leavanny and opposing Galvantula are going to be a pain.

Yeah, sorry. I don't know why, but I was thinking they worked like in BW2. I fixed the requirements.

@Mygavolt

Get Jack the (male) Maractus.

Now, Cactus Jack was once defeated by a crocodile of some variety. As such, he must fight any Sandile (And their evolutions) whenever able. He also must eventually take down Grimsley's Krookodile alone.
However, Jack can only use Physical attacks, with the sole exception of Petal Dance. To be able to learn Petal Dante though, he must first achieve the highest rating at the largely disliked Pokemon Musical. ("In this musical, it's not an overstatement to say that *insert name here*'s Pokémon was the lead role.")

I'm a bit on the edge whether this would be too easy, but hey, semi-obscure references are cool.

Both of mine are accepted.

What I have so far:

~Must always use a Steel-Type move at the start of battle when he learns one
~Must solo Gardenia
~Must solo everything from Maylene to Crasher Wake (Maylene, Rival, 5 trainer pokemon and 3 wild pokemon)
~During the Maylene-Wake session, I can only use 5 items and have 3 trips to the pokemon center

~Must have three moves, plus a fourth to be replaced with Fly
~Unless specified, cannot use the move more than 4x in a row
Leech Life(Cannot be used more than 3x in a row)
Air Slash
Sludge Bomb
Air Cutter
Hidden Power
Hyper Beam(Can be used infinite times in a row)(Prolly not gonna use this)
Substitute
Astonish(No more than 6x)
Bite(No more than 3x)
Dark Pulse(No more than 4x)
Swagger(Only after dealing direct damage)
Protect(^^)
Double Team(^^)
Roost
Giga Impact(Can only be used after Fly)
Wing Attack
Return/Frustrasion(After using this, Soldier can't be healed unless he uses another move)
U-Turn(^^)
Aerial Ace
Giga Drain(After using this move, Soldier must keep using it until he or his opponent faints)
Poison Fang
Cross Poison
Screech
Supersonic
Confuse Ray
Mean Look
Haze
Toxic
Sunny Day
Taunt
Rain Dance
Facade
Secret Power
Rest
Attract
Thief
Steel Wing
Snatch
Endure
Payback
Captivate
X-Scissor
Sleep Talk
Pluck
Natural Gift
Defog
I was thinking about it, and I'm gonna make this a Scramblocke, so if anyone dies, expect me back. I was also thinking about how much I want a Roserade. HINT HINT.

EDIT: I changed Metal's restriction info to match what awsimmer PM'd me about

A Scramblemon!

@Mygavolt

You said you wanted a starter that isn't Snivy, so you could combat fire types? Well here you go! You get FireFight the Tepig. This Tepig hates other fire types, after a fire killed his best friends, a Lillipup and a Pidove. He doesn't know what Pokemon caused it, so whenever a fire type is about to be sent out, flip a coin. Heads, he solos it, Tails, he doesn't. Also, he cannot cause any damage against the Lillipup and Pidove families, as it reminds him of his friends perishing. He also wants to prove he is a good Fighter, so solo Marshall (if you don't want this, solo his Conkeldurr instead) GL;HF

Also, I still need some mons for my HG/Pt Cross Scramble

SoulSilver Scramble Part 8:
The Route to Championship

To start his update off, we have the team:
  • Aquaphobia the Poliwrath
    • Level 40, Ice Beam/Earthquake/Waterfall/Rain Dance
  • Cotton the Ampharos
    • Level 40, Focus Blast/Thunder/Signal Beam/Flash
  • Meanie the Meganium
    • Level 41, PoisonPowder/Rock Smash/Flash/Synthesis
  • Shadow the Smeargle
    • Level 40, Body Slam/Spore/Transform/Sketch
  • Fly the Pidgeotto
    • Level 40, Tackle/Gust/Sand-Attack/Fly
  • Cosmic the Ledian
    • Level 42, Supersonic/Safeguard
A few things of note with the team would be how pitiful Cotton's movepool is, to actually have to go with Focus Blast. Thunder went over Thunderbolt due to the ability to induce rain. Shadow has it's own thing going on, where it puts the foe to sleep and then uses Transform. The fourth moveslot is empty for the time being, eventually to become Swagger.

My original plan was to start off with Cosmic to solo Will, but I realized Slowbro has Own Tempo. As such, a change in plans. Let's get this show underway.

VS. Will
Cotton starts out with Thunder. Thankfully Xatu's Me First-ed Thunder missed turning the fight into a mere 1-on-4. Jynx's Lovely Kiss missed AND it ended up paralyzed. The luck ended up there though, and Cotton barely survived. Exeggutor was OHKOed by Signal Beam though, while Slowbro fell to a yet another Thunder. The second Xatu tried to pull of a Confusion Ray, but unsurprisingly was finished off by Thunder.
VS. Koga
I have very little to say about this, other than "Ledian. Masses of X-items. Critical hits suck. I spent a week on this." I really have no recollections outside the fight ending with Forretress Exploding. Might've been easier to do Will and just stall the Slowbro.
VS. Bruno
Now this is where this gets relatively neat. No more solos. Fly starts out against his Hitmontop, and after a few Gusts to drop it to OHKO range, a Fly, which Bruno swithes Onix to, forcing a switch to Aquaphobia... which Onix outspeeds? Nevertheless falls without issues after setting up a Sandstorm. Next up is Hitmonchan. Fly fails to outspeed and gets taken out. This Hitmonchan doesn't have a fighting-type move, so I send out Shadow so I could use my Spore/Transform combo, but she gets frozen by an Ice Punch and then KO'd. Next up is Cotton, who not only has Static paralyze, but takes Chan out with a one-two Thunder. Hitmontop comes for another go, and uses Dig. I can't believe I'm saying this, but Cosmic is coming to play here to avoid the Dig, confuse the thing, set Safeguard and switch to Aquaphobia, and come back in to avoid another Dig and repeat. Next Meanie comes on Bruno's healing turn to get poison and blinding and getting the mandatory defense drop. Eventually Hitmontop succumbs to poison. Next, Aquaphobia and Hitmonlee. Aquaphobia was able to take one Hi Jump Kick and nearly KO Lee, but that wasn't enough. Cosmic comes and cleans the match with Supersonic. The last match is against Machamp. Cosmic starts out with more confusion shenanigans before falling to too many rocks. Meanie comes back for Poisonpowder as well as Flash. He takes a ridiculous amount of damage from Cross Chop, so he heals up with Synthesis waiting for the critical miss to kick in. Unfortunately, every single Cross Chop hits, and Meanie eventually falls, leaving the rest to Cotton. Bruno heals Machamp up, and Thunder does roughly half of Machamps health. Another (critical) Thunder finishes the thing off.
VS. Karen
Cotton starts the fight strongly by Focus Blasting Umbreon out in two turns. He did, however, get confused, so Shadow comes in on her Murkrow. Nope, still not getting the elusive strategy out. So Cotton returns to the field once more to decimate with his Thunder. Aquaphobia comes against her Houndoom, trying to setup Nasty Plot but getting OHKOed by Waterfall. For Vileplume, Fly gets his chance, getting a critical Fly, only leaving Gengar, who... really can't do much. Well, outside spamming Focus Blast. Cosmic visits to stick confusion before Aquaphobia wipes Gengar out despite Karen's double Full Restore shenanigans (Destiny Bonded tho).

Cue the Karen speech, which makes little sense. What does selfishness have to do with... well, anything she says? Then again, there's the whole "selfishness theorem", but that's not a thing to worry about right now. For one fight remains.
VS. Champion Lance
Ah, the guy that's the Champion just because not one, but two guys much superior to him sort of just... dropped the ball. Besides... a Flying-type Champion? Isn't that sort of lame?

As he starts with a Gyarados, my starter couldn't be more obvious. Cotton takes the hit from Waterfall well and fries the pseudo-Magikarp. Cosmic goes against his strongest Dragonite, confuses it and allows me to heal up Cotton. Both he and Fly fall to Outrage, but cofusion from that allows Shadow to come into play and finally pull of Spore/Transform... on Lance's strongest Pokemon. He gets to take that one down, but the next, weaker one is actually faster and OHKOes with Dragon Rush. Time for Cotton to come back to play. He gets a Thunder in before falling to two Dragon Rushes, leaving Aquaphobia to finish up with an Ice Beam. He takes a Thunder like a beast. Sacrificing Aquaphobia for the sake of healing Cotton again to fight the last Dragonite. Cotton avoids the Dragon Rush, nails Nite with a Thunder, and gets Hyper Beamed for little effect. Nite falls to another Thunder. Next comes a Charizard, who gets Static'ed for using Fire Fang. Cotton gets two Thunders in, one which hits and KOes Charizard. Healing Aquaphobia back up at the cost of Cotton. However, for the final Pokemon, Meanie gets to go up against Aerodactyl and it's Pressure-related shenanigans. He unfortunately can't do anything, so it's down for Aquaphobia to take this thing down. He takes the Aerial Ace with difficulty and shoots out an Ice Beam for... jack shit damage. Jeez, what's with this, Dragonite took barely anything from it either. Nevertheless, Lance chooses to go with Crunch instead for the next attack, leaving Aquaphobia at 1 HP. One more Ice Beam would do it, but is there a way for Crunch to miss? Turns out there is, because Lance is a dipshit and uses Rock Slide, which misses, allowing Aquaphobia to take down the ancient menace.

And with that, despite my own incompetence at recalling Aerodactyl being 4x weak to Ice, I have reached the title of the ultimate trainer. There's nothing after this... right?

Team so far:
12RElxP.jpg

We're not done yet though. There's still a full other region to go. However, that's not particularly interesting. I will most likely make a few updates for those ostly focusing on big battles. However, I do intend to handle the rematches of Gym Leaders and E4.

Pokemon Platinum:

3 Pokemon
- Starter
- Totodile (Trading Over)
- Anything that doesn't require using Honey
Nicknames
I'm thinking on them having a bit of a rivalry between each other.

I just want this team to be balanced since I never completed Platinum yet...

@Aries Flame — I'll start you off with Eco the Turtwig. This Turtwig is a fan of all things environmental, so it can only be healed via Berries, Bitter items, Fresh Water, and Moomoo Milk (outside the Pokémon Center, of course). In addition, it cannot hold the Macho Brace, the Experience Share, or any sort of article of clothing because those are all artificial items.

Now, on to move restrictions. It must use one of Absorb, Mega Drain, Giga Drain, Leech Seed, or Synthesis before using any of its other moves, because Eco's power comes from the environment and Eco can't attack without first absorbing energy from it. If it learns Earthquake, it may seem odd for me to allow you to use it (since it damages the environment), but using Torterra without Earthquake is just blasphemy. So, I'll allow you to use it, but only once per battle. The move Toxic, on the other hand, is completely forbidden, because using it would lead Eco's opponents to believe that the environment isn't all sunshine and roses and ultimately curse it.

Okay, you said you wanted a bit of rivalry. Eco isn't a big fan of your to-be-given Totodile and its tendency to throw water around at unnecessary volumes. Thus, every time Totodile KOs a Pokémon in a Trainer battle with a Water-type move and the Trainer still has more Pokémon remaining, you must switch in Eco and clean up the mess using one of the "absorbing" moves I mentioned earlier (unless this conflicts with a solo).

As a final restriction, it must solo Bertha, the ultimate abuser of the environment (because all of her Pokémon besides Whiscash (who has Earth Power) have Earthquake). Hopefully Gliscor's Ice Fang and Rhyperior's Avalanche (and, to a smaller extent, Golem's Fire Punch) won't cause you too many problems.

Questions/concerns? Otherwise, GL;HF

Also, if anyone else would be considerate enough to give stuff to all these Scramblers (including me), that would be great. Anyone (who follows the rules) is welcome!

@Mygavolt

Get Doriru the male Drillbur (fits the rock/flying resist). Doriru dislikes plants since their roots always block his way when digging, so he must solo every grass types. He also hate any weather other than sandstorm, so always switch him out when non-sandstorm weather is present. He was once owned by a trainer whom he loves until Team Plasma forced them apart, so Doriru must participate at least twice in every battle against Team Plasma members (if the opponent only has 1 poke, solo with Doriru).

Okay, Aries Flame, you get Whacko the Drifloon I could go for looney, but bad puns.

Whacko is a little mixed up. He believes that he is EVERY type EXCEPT Ghost and Flying. Therefore, he cannot use Ghost or Flying type moves. This can be changed to ONE move of either flying or ghost if that's too hard.
Secondly, he's not exactly sure whether Drifloon are supposed to drag children or adults to the netherworld, so he wants to go for middle ground. He must solo every pokemon that is the middle stage of an evolution family. (i.e. He must solo cascoon, but not bidoof)
Third, he loves the color purple. So he cannot attack any pokemon with the dex color purple. See Bulbapedia if you need a list.
Lastly, he doesn't know what type he is, but he wants to be the best. He must solo a gym of your choice. (this one includes purple pokemon)

I hope you enjoy. Also, I need 4 more for my challange. Just saying.

Requesting a Black scramble challange, hard but not ridiculous, and I can trade (but please try to avoid challenges that require it - I might trade to get a tutor move on occasion). No restrictions on Unova Pokemon, and if you want to give me an egg 'mon it can be anything within reason (eg nothing awful and nothing that takes forever to evolve). I must have one starter and one user of Fly. I reserve the right to reject your challenge.

If you do not quote my post, your challenge will not be considered. I will oh read your post if you quote me, as that sends me an alert.

Take Teamwork the Munna/Musharna. It believes that the only way to win a battle is by teamwork. As such, it must know 2 support moves (Lucky Chant, Yawn, Imprison, Hipnosis, Nightmare, Telekinesis, Toxic, Light Screen, Rain Dance, Safeguard, Reflect, Torment, Flash, Thunder Wave, Psych Up, Swagger, Trick Room, and, if you want to tutor it moves, Gravity, Heal Bell, Helping Hand, Skill Swap, Wonder Room, Worry Seed, and Trick). It also must know 1 recovery move (Moonlight, Dream Eater, Rest, and, if you want to tutor it moves, Pain Split). It also must have one attacking move (only moves that directly attack with 75+ power and do not restore HP count, Psybeam may be used until you get something that counts, Stored Power also does not count).

The rest of its restrictions depend upon whether it was caught as a Munna or a Musharna

It is dissappointed by its level up movepool. As such, it must learn TMs as soon as you have a TM that teaches a move Musharna can learn. Furthermore, it can't be used until it learns Rest or Pain Split.

It also believes that the E4, N, and Ghetsis should be taught a lesson in teamwork. As such, if any of your other pokemon ever needs a heal fodder during any battle against one of them, you must use Teamwork as heal fodder. Furthermore, it must be used in every one of those battles (excluding solos where no heal fodder is needed), where it must use a support move.
It thinks it is the bulkiest thing ever. As such, Teamwork may be the only pokemon you use as heal fodder, and it must only be healed via use of the recovery move.

If your recovery move is Pain Split, and you use it and cause Teamwork to be damaged, then Teamwork may not participate until the next major battle (Rival, Gym Leader, E4, Ghetsis, Alder, or Morimoto).

If its recovery move is rest and it gets KOd before it wakes up, then Teamwork may not be used until an NPC heals your pokemon.

If you choose Moonlight, then it must not battle in Rain, Hail, or Sandstorm. If it is your last pokemon left and you are in a trainer battle in that weather, then you must throw the battle without fainting a single opponent. If it is a wild battle and Teamwork is your lead during one of those three weathers, you must try to run or catch the wild pokemon, no medicine, X-items, or moves may be used.

If its recovery move is Dream Eater, then it must always know Hipnosis or Yawn and use it against any awake foe.

To evolve, you must help support a pokemon defeat a gym leader, and KO two pokemon with an attack. Also, it must know 2 support moves, 1 recovery move, and one attacking move with at least 75 power. You must evolve pre-E4.

Once it evolves, the Pain Split and Rest restrictions described above only last until the end of the battle. Furthermore, the Moonlight restrictions only apply if you have under 50% HP left, and you can use Moonlight in those weathers if you are above 50% HP. Furthermore, it must use its recovery move if its HP is at or below 20% (unless in a sandstorm, hail, or rain, with Moonlight as its recovery move, in which case it must switch out).

Furthermore, weather restrictions are lifted if a faster partner uses Sunny Day or if another pokemon in battle has Air Lock or Cloud Nine. You may switch in a pokemon with Air Lock or Cloud Nine and have Teamwork use Moonlight instead of switching out.

Unless otherwise specified, all restrictions still apply when it evolves without changing.

A little gift from me: Solid the Dwebble.
Solid wants to be the best wall ever. He already has a good ability for a wall: Sturdy. As such, when you catch him, he HAS to have sturdy.
The first part of being a good wall is to help support your teammates, so Solid needs to have at least one support move(Stealth Rock, Toxic, Sandstorm, and if you can trade him to White 2 for tutor moves, Block and Knock Off)
He is also aware of his species' status as Shell Smash sweepers, and as a wall, he wants to protect his teammates, so he has to learn Shell Smash and use it to defeat any opposing pokemon that are at a higher level than him.

Any questions, PM me. Good luck!

Everything so far is accepted! Thanks for the challenges, guys!

I would like my last Scramblemon to be a Wingull or Ducklett that can Surf and Fly.

Also, post 333 for me.

@Pwnemon Take Rat the Rattata. Rat wants to be the best rat that ever lived. As such, it must learn Bite, Crunch, Hyper Fang, and Super Fang ASAP, and only use those 4 moves from when it learns Bite (level 10). It also must solo all trainer-owned rodent-based pokemon (Rattata, Raticate, Pichu, Pikachu, Raichu, Quilava, Cyndaquil (but not Typhlosion), Diglett, Dugtrio, and Nidoran (both genders)).

To evolve, it must solo 20 trainer owned rodent-based pokemon and Whitney's Clefairy because Whitney should have picked a normal-type rodent and didn't. It also must solo Red's Venosaur and Blastoise. Upon defeating Red, all restrictions are lifted, although it must keep one of Bite, Crunch, Hyper Fang, and Super Fang.

I feel stupid. I could have gotten started today since all I need is Totodile and I have to beat the first gym.

Thanks for the challange so far. Hopefully everything goes fine with Eco.

So im new here and i would like to do a medium platinum scramble.
-will accept any starter other than chimchar since im bored with him
-would like a rotom and a random forme for it
-want a togekiss that is ability dependent hustle=physical or sgrace=special(u can give reverse but i would hate u :p)
-no type overlap because im ocd that way and will accept more than one challange from a person
-also 6 mons by sixth gym
Edit-Oh yeah no trade mons and my updates will be slow

Okay, since nobody else seems to be posting...

You get a Rotom whose form and associated restrictions depend on its nature when you catch it. No resetting.
You get a Rotom-Fan named Paraflinch. Not confident that it'll make it forward in life due to its poor nature (especially if it's Adamant) and its serious lack of physical attacks, it must paralyze its opponent to be able to use its signature move, Air Slash. It must solo Maylene's gym because it wants to let out its hatred of the Attack stat out on Fighting-types, who use it the most.
You get a Rotom-Wash named OUnova. This Rotom-W thinks it's from Unova, where it's top-tier material and one of the best defensive walls out there, so it must learn Will-o-wisp...oh, wait. That's a Battle Frontier move. Instead, have it carry two moves in the Other category, I guess. Due to its supposed ability to "handle...rain teams in general" according to its B/W analysis, it must solo Wake to prove just how effective it can be against Water-types.
You get a Rotom-Mow named AntiChoice. Choice Rotom-Mow is the most common type of Rotom-Mow, but this one decides that Choice items are too mainstream (and you can't get them outside of post-game anyway), so it is under the effects of permanent Torment. To get over this Torment, it must solo Volkner because half of his Pokémon (namely Jolteon and Luxray) have a Choice set in their D/P analyses.
You get a Rotom-Heat named Volatile. If and only if it falls below 50% HP, it must use Overheat. It must solo Candice to let off some steam before you bring it to the Pokémon League (during the battle, you must use Overheat at least once).
You get a Rotom-Frost named Eciger. Yep, again with the backwards names...this one is Regice. It thinks it has unparalleled special bulk like Regice and can take on any special attackers, even Fantina's Mismagius, which it must solo. It must also start off with Blizzard every time it is sent out to show off its pride as a pseudo-Regice.
Questions/concerns? Otherwise, GL;HF

EDIT: I kinda hate how hide tag titles with commas in them get screwed up.

As for me, I could use one more 'mon for my Scramble, and remember, Wingull or Ducklett. Also continue to consult the document in my signature for other challenges that need Scramblemons. Thanks in advance.

@EJ190

You get something concocted just for you: Saga the Bronzor.

(Just so you know, this story was based on the story that bronzor was based on)

Once upon a time, in ancient Oreburgh City, there was a young woman. This woman was the trainer of a Bronzor, who was her best friend. She and the bronzor went everywhere together, and formed a very strong bond. One day, the local elder decided to build a new bell for the local bell tower. The elder ordered that every piece of scrap metal to be melted down and added to the bell. Later that day, the woman's daughter accidentally took the bronzor and had it melted down! The woman brought herself to hate the bell, and in her despair, she killed herself. She left a note saying that whoever could break the bell would be rewarded with riches by her ghost. So people came from all over to try and break the bell, making it ring loud day and night. Eventually, the elder got fed up and rolled the bell into mount coronet, where it rolled down a steep slope and shattered on the rocks below. The woman got rid of the bell, but little did she know the bronzor didn't die when it was made into the bell! So when the bell shattered, the Bronzor laid asleep for many years. That is, until you found it!

Saga retained all memories of his former trainer, although it has been over 100 years since she died. But he refuses to accept that, and is now on a quest to find his best friend. Now for the restrictions.

First off, Saga only survived being melted because of his heatproof ability. So when you catch him, he has to have the heatproof ability, which shouldn't be too hard. He wants people to feel the pain that he did when he was imprisoned, so he must use imprison at the start of every battle. He's also still a little groggy from his sleep, so whenever he falls asleep, he must wake up on his own. No items, pokecenters, nothing. At this point he's a little cold to you and your teammates because he only sees you as temporary allies.

After the third gym, he begins to warm up to you and the team, and the previous restrictions are gone. To help the team, he must come in and use safeguard every time a pokemon has more than one status inducing move in its levelup movepool. In addition, he must use Extrasensory in every battle he's in (not including dark types, of course) to develop his psychic powers.

To evolve, he must solo Maylene, because she is a friend of the woman's granddaughter, and he wants answers to where she is.

After evolving, he begins to accept the fact that his best friend is gone, but he doesn't fully accept that she's dead just yet. He still wants to find the woman, but his priority is getting stronger for the team. He wants to protect his teammates, so he must learn and use iron defense every time he switches in.

Soon, he learns that Cynthia is the granddaughter of the woman. He wants information from her, and he wants to be able to see what she'll say early, so he must learn future sight and use it to ko two of Cynthia's pokemon. After the battle, he gets the grim realization that his best friend is dead. But, he loves you and your team, so he decides to stay with you for the rest of the endgame. At this point, all restrictions are lifted.

Any questions or concerns, PM me. Good luck!

Forgot the mention I am actually hoping for a hard challange for Totodile.

Eco the Turtwig - Lv. 18

I'm off to fight Roark now since Eco evolved into Grotle.

Okay, just like Mygavolt did, I'm gonna make this my new OP, where I can check back up on progress.

I need to challange for Platinum.
-I want medium-hard difficulty
-Trading from SoulSilver is possible*
-BE AS CREATIVE AS PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE
-I'm probably gonna use a Bibarel to HM my way through the game, but I need a flyer and surfer(ALREADY DONE)
-I want a starter that is not Chimchar(DONE)
-I want a diversity of types. I'm okay with having two of the same type, but both must have a second type to exploit*
-I would prefer Pokemon that evolve, but I'm flexible
-I will NOT accept male combee, cascoon, silcoon, metapod, kakuna, or magikarp.*
-I would like to use either a Budew/Roserade or a Snover/Abomasnow*(DONE)
-I need an Ice-Type*
*Changed from OP

EDIT: Changed my mind. No Scramblocke, simply because I don't want the painful process of asking for a new mon and raising it up to the standards of my present team with its restrictions. I'm such a wuss.
