Messis is 1,66 m, so it would be hard for him to play basketball xd
I think Spain or Netherlands will win the Euro :0
Germany will reach quarterfinals or lose at round 1 =S

Germany only reach the quaterfinals :O
They are always good in great tournaments. So I think they will reach at least the finals.

And Spain.. meh they always have a great team and great players and are always favorite to get far in Europeonchampionships and World Cups but they are almost always knocked out in the poules :(
Hopefully for Spain it will be an exception this time.

In the last two euros we got kicked at round 1 :/
We're just good at World Cups, because we're lucky with the opponents, but thats impossible at a euro

With Ronaldo in the Euro 2008 with Portugal, I'm sure he won't have time to think about a move to Spain this summer (not that he was going). But atleast it will keep him occupied and give him less time to consider it. I only say this because there's all this speculation around him moving, and it's not easy for us fans to endure. We don't want to lose our best player, who's arguably the best in the world on top form.

But yeah, it's Germany, Italy, Portugal, Netherlands, Russia or Spain, who are the most likely to win it. Just take your pick! =/

Russia? Even England beat them 3-0. France and Croatia should be there although the latter will miss Eduardo

He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about, just leave him. I think Torres is a blond-haired pussy but he's still very skilful and Liverpool do not play many long balls to him, they play through Gerrard.

And John Terry loves himself so much it's unbelievable.
Code:
To all the Chelsea fans, all my team-mates, the manager and staff at the club.

I am so sorry for missing the penalty and denying you the fans, my team-mates, family and friends the chance to become European champions.

Many people have told me I don't need to say that but I feel I need to, that's just me. I have relived that moment every minute since it happened. I have only slept a few hours and wake up every time hoping it's all been a bad dream.

I have had some amazing support from fans, current and ex-players, family and friends and I need to thank everyone for that. But I am a big man and I take responsibility for us not winning.

I am and ALWAYS will be Chelsea through and through. I will give my all on and off the pitch to win this trophy as a player and one day as a manager. And I am sure we will win it.

That night in Moscow will haunt me forever and I feel I have let everybody down and this hurts me more than anything. I am not ashamed about crying. This is a trophy I have tried so hard year after year to win and it was just an uncontrollable reaction, I wear my heart on my sleeve, everybody knows that.

The road to Rome starts here, we have to try and turn this experience to our advantage. I am very proud of how far we have come this season with everything that has gone on.

Thank you for all your support for the team this season.'

He forgot to apologise to Avram for costing him his job the idiot. Somehow he's convinced he will manage Chelsea in the future even if he becomes a shite coach. And ffs "I am a big man".

Haha , Doggy will never win a Trophy . Cough Cough. He think that he could win the Euro08 and Erase off the Heartbreak of losing in CL Semi-Finals . Dream On Doggy . Spaniards are only well know for talking Big because they always failed in big touranments. Haha

Ronaldo speculation on a move to Madrid looks ever-so likely every damned day. He says he would like to play for Real Madrid and will go this Summer if they agree to pay him and Manchester United what they have previously offered. However, we don't want to seel him, understandably, so he is in a tight situation.

Goal.com

Many articles there for you to read the whole "Ronaldo Saga".

That Terra website quote is bollocks, the journalist came on to skysports news and admitted the quotes weren't taken the day he said it was, Terra the actual website doesn't have a reporter in Switzerland either. If Ronaldo wanted to make his desire to join Madrid public he wouldn't tell some unheard of newspaper in Brazil.

I wouldn't be surprised if those quotes were actually from after the 2006 WC when he said he wanted to leave. I'll believe it when I see him talking to a respected media outlet with audio/video evidence.

And 90% of articles on Goal.com are bullshit.

http://www.footballforums.net/forums/ - one of the biggest Football forums on the internet seem to take them very seriously. Besides, them "rumors" as some may call it are all over the BBC.

If all of this was "bullshit", then Ronaldo would have come out and said in public "No, I am staying with Manchester United", but he has not...

In the end, I think Ronaldo will stay at least for THIS year; remember, Manchester is the one that has to accept the offer, and I don't see them doing so unless the offer is overwhelming.

If Ronaldo bitches, then they can sell him next year for less I guess, but things like this generally work itself out, unless there's locker-room issues or such.

It's all over the BBC and every single media outlet, all of which are quoting from the same source, Terra.

They don't give a shit when if it's accurate but only care about having the "hottest" stories around. I seem to remember rumours on goal.com etc that Heinze was going to buy out his contract to move to Liverpool, despite not being able to do that to move to a club in the same country so frankly I don't trust such outlets

In fact, the Portuguese press officer has said Ronaldo hasn't done any interviews in the past days, and I doubt that he's going to make any decision during the Euros.

Scolari banned all speculation regarding his move to Madrid in the Portugal training sessions, and has said that it to continue after the Euros. Which is why we are all waiting now, cautiously.

Also, lol... Czech scored against Switzerland!

Poor Frei, he's Swtizerlands' best player I think, anybody know how long he's out?

Also I heard that if Ronaldo does move to Madrid , then Man U will try and sign Aguero. He looks to be an amazing talent, no Ronaldo though.

Latest results in the Euro:

Czech Republic 1 - 0 Switzerland
Portugal 2 - 0 Turkey

As for the Czech match, Switzerland deserved the tie so much more than CR deserved the win.

As for Portugal, Cristiano, with a powerful free kick, shot the ball to the post in the first half, which ended 0-0, in the second half, after a ball in the post and in the bar by Nuno Gomes, Pepe scored the 1-0 at 60' at Raul Meireles scored the 2-0 at 90'+3. Overall it was a good game, though Deco was hardly noticeable for his playing, and Cristiano didn't do too much after the free kick.

Nice clean up there. The second goal was pure quality.

The guy who lunged in on Nani was out of control. The studd on his boots pierced straight through Nani's shin-pads and skin, which had Nani taken off for medical attention. That almost looked like the beginning of the end for the young United star. ;[

I watched the Swiss-Czech match and Switzerland were really done by a smash and grab, they deserved to win and not the Czechs.

I kinda watched the Portugay match, saw the second goal and replay of the first both being well constructed goals. Things must be really bad for them if Nuno Gomes is playing upfront.

And a crazy studs first dive on Nani to his calf, over the ball and reckless, that deserved a red.

Especially when you consider Nani was in a no-opposition-zone once he breaks clear, but unfortunately for him he was caught!

lol Switzerland deserved to win....

They had one good chance on goal, maybe two, and Cech cleaned the attempts up nicely. Sverkos' goal was well taken and the CZR dominated the possession from what I saw. Don't have any actual figures.

Watched about half of both those matches.

Switzerland were unlucky, but they should've defended better on that goal, and Czech are a hard team to break down, they've only had 5 past them in the last 2 years of competitve matches :P

As for portugal game, from what I seen.

Quality save on the freekick, those finger tips did just enough and the turkish goalkeeper looked solid. Some amazing ref/Linesman decisisons within the match.

Also was it just me or did Tuncay leave most balls instead of chasing them esp. in the first half corner the one before pepe's disallowed goal?

I have no idea what you intend by "things must be bad if Nuno Gomes is playing upfront." Pauleta is gone now, we'll either choose between Gomes, Hélder Postiga or Hugo Almeida, and since Gomes is the most veteran of them all, he deserved the spot. Plus, if you're not recalling correctly, he assited Portugal's first goal.

After all, that's what he does best, assist goals. Oh and two of the three balls on the post/bar were by him, one right foot shot and one header assisted by Cri Cri.

I really don't know how you can still burn him in the stake. ;_;

I mean that Gomes isn't exactly one of the best strikers in the world, not someone that other teams will be afraid of nor will he score many goals in this tournament.

And didn't Carvalho assist the first goal?
