Heracross (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Guts
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Toxic
Though it may be awkward for a starter, he has done decently for me. DUAL STAB is nice, especially with 120 base power each. Stone Edge wraps up the issue of type coverage for hitting the one time that ISN'T hit super-effective by this: Fliers. Toxic wears down on Gliscor, who I have seen recently get more popular for some reason.
Okay, as it screws up a good share of leads
Bronzong @ Occa Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/84 Atk/140 Def/32 SDef
Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Gyro Ball
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Explosion
I remember seeing this in a RMT, so I stole it. The idea is to lay down SR and bait out fire types, which are usually KOed by EQ. It does a good job of stopping Mamoswine also, and can explode on anything that I don't really like.
Yea, This is a great Zong, isn't it? I use one as my lead though, but WTF, its good
Metagross @ Lum Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 60 HP/252 Atk/196 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Agility
- Explosion
Good Zapdos bait that can really get on my nerves(especially ones with HP Grass). General idea is to use Metagross' good defenses and excellent typing to get in an Agility and damage things with MM and EQ. If a troublesome pokemon appears, Explode.
I don't like Agiligross that much, but if you wanna run it thats fine.
Swampert (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Waterfall
- Curse
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
After reviewing my team, I saw I had 5 grass resists and no electric one. I was also lacking a lot of fire resists(while having way too many weaknesses), so this guys went here. It's also one of my two "final" sweepers after the rest of the team has done its job wearing the opponent down.
Very good.
Heatran (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Substitute
- Explosion
This was a set on my very first Explosion team, except Gengar was using it: I can say that Heatran makes much better use of Substitute thanks to his superior typing, defenses, and overall threat. Sub lets me scout and usually decimate counters, and Explosion is when Blissey takes the bait. I usually have to scout cause some don't have Seismic Toss and can't break my sub(exploding too early led me to taking less than 50% on the incoming T-Tar. ._."
Never seen one of these before, but looks good.
Shaymin-s @ Yache Berry
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Seed Flare
- Air Slash
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Ice]
And my usual "final" sweeper. Yache helps to take down Bulky waters and Ice Sharders that I haven't killed, though usually by the time this guy comes out the tiem is irrelevant. HP Ice for hitting Zapdos after some Air Slashes.
Good, though I hate this little green bastard.
