NOC There's Actually a Sequel to the Matrix - Day 9 (Deadline Tuesday 10 PM EST)

I knew someone would bring up the fact that I'm being a bit more active as a reason to scumread me, which honestly I won't argue against because it's completely understandable, but if that's the case then I'm allowed to scumread normally active people who are suddenly choosing to be a lot more passive. but also just because I've lurked in the past doesn't mean I can't pressure lurking people, it's extremely common for there to be at least one mafia lurking day one, I almost got lynched last game during d1 because I was lurking

but this is good, like I said I am fine with taking heat for proposing a lurker lynch if I have to because if it means that people like myself, duskfall and possible inferno can be forced to talk, this is creating conversations that weren't happening before
Hmmm this may actually be genuine though
You can see the contradiction here I assume?

Witholding scumread from town is scummy.

vote whydon
I don't agree that withholding a scumread is inherently scummy but I actually kinda like this vote??? Feels like dusk actually taking a stance like what I saw from him last game compared to his earlier posts this game.

I'm at page 23 rn and Dusk has felt completely tonally different this game overall (I remember him getting kinda snappy later on in the thread, as well as what I and other people have stated about him earlier) and I'm not entirely sure what to make of it but I'm feeling he may be town who's just been quick to frustration this game due to both ingame and outside pressures

Also drookez posts for the first time this page and that's cool I guess. They lurked hard and got lynched in another game I spectated so I'm kinda gutreading this as town lol

my main issue with whydon's post is that it's basically just expanding on this post:

I'm genuinely sure there is a mafia in drookez/inferno/dusk so I honestly don't think fh is a lynch today, although people here tend to be against a lurker lynch d1 but I'm fine with taking some heat for it if it means bringing the conversation to the table

and the cover-up seems scum indicative

What about basing your reads on someone else do you think is scummy?
simply doing that is fine; doing that and not putting in your own opinions is not.

I read all the everything I missed and retained zero information
locktown

i cant say i am 100% certain on the entire townblock thats been decided but the idea as a whole is definitely good. I definitely wouldnt lynch anyone in that group right now.

congratulations

now explain this logic towards us
Also why did people become so obsessed with long reads lists and "info" lynches this game

I'll very likely reread the next couple pages a few more times and sort out my feelings. For now though, is rad the current wagon? Because I've honestly found rad to be utterly forgettable
jumps back in after missing most of the previous day, with the following agenda:

- disparages reads lists as a tool
- discredits people's forms of lynching

Both of the above are things that other people had been speaking out against, both of the above are things that are generally unpopular, both of the above are things that appeal to other townies while "looking towny" without contributing credit, and subtly shading anyone who posted a reads lynch or voting for info.

Follows up with an empty statement on their state of the game

See the thing is inferno is kind of just an awkward player. I don't remember what they start doing later in the game that makes people scumread them but inferno's a newbie who I feel like is very easy to scumread

Whydon kinda implies that he srs pidge here too and then outright states he srs drookez which is??? Idk these all feel like super low effort scumreads and I'm not sure I like that

Also energy has weird reads and posts like they normally do which makes me think they're probably town

This is page 15+16 btw
Commentary on the game:

- defends the person who's an obviously easy mislynch AFTER the pressure for them has eased completely off, someone who they implicity stated dislike for via comment on info lynches
- targets the person who's low hanging fruit that no one has really defended but in a super non-committal way
- does literally the exact same thing to energy they did to inferno

Also would like to note that I completely and utterly forget why I scumread texas in the first place and will now be dropping him in favour of the rad / inferno train

choo choo let's all catch up to hal

TGIL: Hal is actually lightyears ahead of me in reading capabilities and it scares me

Are a lot of people scumreading caff? I think I saw a lot of null reads? I know asek and rssp scumread him but I can't remember who else

I may have over exaggerated I don't remember but at that point caff was being thrown out as being sred or sleaned by a buncha dudes and only one dude was pressuring him, see: asek

It's a weird thing I think I also had outlined why it's probably a thing earlier in the game

Secondary note: Caff's position in this game happens a lot more in ps! Mafia bc the players (including myself) are unrefined as fuck
