As if Porygon knows I'm putting off putting up the Ice Gym thread, he lands a turn one freeze. This is only a lot impactful, and swings the game heavily in Porygon's favor. The sand does its best to chip in while Hippopotas is frozen, but it isn't doing all that much, and is about to leave. I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.

If it makes Hippopotas feel better, Porygon wasn't ready for the freeze and Recovered uselessly.

Luck isn't on Hippopotas's side tonight- at least he landed one Rock Slide. Sandstorm's also done a considerable 18 damage in this, to Download's 12; maybe he can push that passive damage just a little farther into an advantage?

Hippopotas milks nearly every last bit of energy out of Porygon he can, and waits out the entire sandstorm. Who said that the time to kill was four actions in BBP? That said, Chilling before Slacking Off puts Hippo down early. Man, if it weren't for the bad luck Hippo had early on, who knows how this would have went? At least the next competitor has a free action or two as Porygon is forced to Chill or faint, and is out of recoveries to boot (an effective HP of 130 is a lot to chew through).

That freeze was dirty, and there's absolutely no mercy coming from Zelfie today. To make matters worse, Pluffle is poisoned A1, and even crit A3, for an extra twelve or so damage that didn't have to happen. In a desperate play to salvage Pluffle and get something going his way, P2 pulls the fairy back and sends out Beldum; normally not the greatest choice, but strong Psychic STAB and immunity to poison won't hurt here.

You know, at first, I kind of begrudged the fact that P2X7 just didn't get to play the game this battle. But seeing that piddly 4 damage on a super effective attack did soften me some.

I'm still gonna spam Double Team in our battle, though, Zelfie. I want one more KOC on Mothim.
