Amazing, feels like you could actually create awesome music with this, but you probably can't. I enjoyed listening to it though.

different notes are horizontal, strength on the a note (ie prominence in the beat) is vertical.

"FAT SEX" has never been so pretty.

Because this totally isn't years old!

Can't remember what it's called, but there's a version of this with multiple filters, such as a bass one, and a percussion one, and they're all different colours.
 
This is so fun. At first I was like, "this is lame", but it is so addictive to click randomly and try and get a good sound out of it.
 
We actually did have a thread on this about a year ago in firebot. I only remember because I DID spend a lot of time on it. My recording software actually has a version of this built in.

Ditto, my producing program (Cubase) has a piano roll identical to this barring colour. I think it's pretty neat, but I must be the only person in the universe who gets annoyed at the lack of Eq compressors etc :p so I'm going to try this again and just write funny stuff in it!
 
There's a slightly prettier version here. Something nice about this one is that space clears dots. I'm not sure if it's the same for the previous ones, though.
 
I have an app kinda like this on my ipod. My name (I could only fit the first 3 letters) actually makes a decent beat.
