This dude has some great bulk and great offenses
but the main thing it has is shell smash
Thanks to that 90/130/130 bulk,Minior has almost no problems getting up a smash,while its Shields Down ability stops all status (mainly burns) while above 50% health
Slap a white herb and now you have a nice 110 BP STAB in Acrobatics

The set you are gonna want to run is

Minior-Meteor @ White Herb
Ability: Shields Down
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shell Smash
- Acrobatics
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
(Adamant because the man has 150 base speed and is usually going to be at +2 anyway)

Recommend running something with knock off alongside this to help deal with those pesky eviolite mons
Oh and something to nuke quag.

To begin with, hello everyone !
I've played Tier Shift some months ago and this meta was very interesting, allowing to use some lower-tier mons better. I'm almost sure that the boost were +5/+10/+15/+20 in ORAS but ok ! I'd like to give my modest contribution.

It seems to me that the PU's Pokémon are really dangerous for 2 main reasons:
- +40 in each stats is really huge, it's basically better than (mega)evolving !
- EVIOLITE.

Here some examples of 'mega-babies' :

1. Clefairy: 110/85/88/100/105/75 - (BST=563) + Eviolite
>> Just remember that Clefable is 95/73/90. Both CM Set or utility with Rocks and Knock Off are more than good.

2. Ferroseed: 84/90/131/64/126/50 - (BST=545) + Eviolite
>> It's very nice for hazard stacking.

3. Quagsire: 135/125/125/105/105/75 - (BST=670)
>> Being in PU right now is a blessing for Quag'.

4. Sableye: 90/115/115/105/105/90 - (BST=620)
>>M-Sableye is 50/85/125/85/115/20 BST=480; it has better defenses by only 10 while regular Sableye has more HP by +40 and keeps Prankster and Lefties).

5. Gurdurr: 125/145/125/80/90/80 - BST=645 + Eviolite
>> Just a godlike Conkeldurr, which became excellent with the nerf of burn. Now, it's even more bulky and can use Bulk Up. What else ?

And remember you can even use Aurora Veil. So my conclusion is that Eviolite should be definitely banned.

Yea they have higher stats but thats not an argument though lol, these would be overwhelming in ou but theyre not broken here because the power creep here is much higher

I mean have u seen the stats of offensive pokemon here? There is stuff like absol and ursaring have 170 attack and sd, weathers has stuff like victreebel and kabutops that destroy stall offense and balance, clamperl and vivillion can sweep teams faster than u can click x, there is many knock off users that can lure in the walls like archeops and raichu and stallbreakers like jynx which all can deal with evio walls

Ill admit im not that experienced in the tier but at the moment i feel eviolite isnt a problem at least for now the real problem is diglett and clamperl pls ban like now

Let's go for some offensive things now:

1. Ursaring: 130/170/115/115/115/95 - BST=740
>> Thanks to Quick Feet, 95 Spe while being Jolly means that it reaches 317 speed *1.5 which is an ok speed tier. I'd personnally go for Guts with web support. Notice that he gets Seed Bomb which allows him to hit things like Quagsire, Gastrodon or Rhydon.

2. Zangoose: 113/155/100/100/100/130 BST=698
>> Similar as Ursaring but it's way faster and has Quick Attack.

3. Scyther: 110/150/120/95/120/145 - BST=740 + Eviolite
>> This thing is damn strong. Fast, powerful and bulky. A real monster as long you deal with the rocks on your side.

4. Komala: 105/155/105/115/135/105 - BST = 720
>> Komala can deals with stall teams since it's immunized to Toxic or Wisp. It has a nice offensive coverage (Frustration/EQ/Play Rough/Wood Hammer etc.) and access to Sword Dance.

5. Drampa: 118/100/125/175/131/76 - BST = 725
>> I haven't tried Drampa yet, but this seems dangerous on paper. A perfect special movepool (Draco Meteor, Hyper Voice, BoltBeam, Fire Blast, Focus Blast, Hurricane), an access to Calm Mind and Roost + its unique ability, Berserk, who increases its already huge Special Attack.

DeepSeaTooth and Damp Rock are both banned from Tier Shift as of now.

Doubt this comes as a shock to anyone in particular. DeepSeaTooth was teetering anyways when the busted as hell Clamperl Veil archetype began being a thing, and Damp Rock is a (at worst, temporary) solution to the Rain issue. Earlier posts in the thread by council people are good to look at for less rushed info on these bans

How about Guzzlord?

With defensive stats rivalling Zygarde-C but equipped with much higher offensive stats and a solid movepool to go with it, Guzzlord has the potential to be a surprisingly effective tank. Obviously it can't deal very well with fairies but on the other hand fairies probably wouldn't like switching into a possible coverage move like Sludge Bomb or Sludge Wave coming off a solid 137 SpA, or even Heavy Slam or Gyro Ball coming off a physical set. Fire Blast roasts Steel and Bug types and rounds up Guzzlord's coverage bar Heatran.

Also, Silvally:

135/135/135/135/135/135

A solid pivot with strong bulk, solid coverage and good utility moves with the potential to incorporate an offensive movepool as well, could potentially become a staple on a lot of teams?

Likewise Type:Null:

135/135/135/135/135/99 + Eviolite

Has less utility than Silvally and faces fierce competition from a lot of other mons as well as being setup bait, it is nevertheless ridiculously tanky and has a semi-useful defensive ability.

Finally Mudsdale and Bewear

140/165/140/95/125/75

140/145/100/75/80/80

Two hard-hitting physical tanks with solid coverage and respectable typings, though neither deal particularly well with Araquanid.

125/155/115/95/115/122

Tier Shift patches up its speed and bulk issues, turning it into a fast and powerful Rock-type sweeper. Movepool is still shallow though, but STAB never-miss Stone Edge, Sucker Punch, and Brick Break are all it really needs.

Timid/Modest Nature

This thing is a very strong sweeper provided it has the correct support, thanks to its ability, Simple. For it to be really effective, it needs sun up. After using Z-Growth, his SpA becomes 1082 if running a Timid nature. If running a Modest nature, however, he reaches a staggering 1187. His Speed is quite poor initially, but after a single Flame Charge (assuming a Timid nature), his speed becomes 546 (Modest nature=498 Speed). Now, his pretty bad bulk means he doesnt always get to set up, and a need for sun to be up makes using Ninetales-A not recomended. He is also weak to priority, especially Aqua Jet, and even more so if sun isn't up. Therefore, Yawn Torkoal makes an excellent partner, and many other Chlorophyll sweepers, which pair up well with both mons, also get Sleep Powder, which creates more set-up opportunities. The other two moves are the chosen STABs, but it also means mons who resist both moves also need to be eliminated by teammates. However, if they're not particularly bulky and Numel's already set up Growth, you could just blow through them with sheer power, especially if sun is still up. Flash fire users are hit extremely hard by Earth Power, while Levitate users are hit neutrally by Fire Blast.
Edit: Eviolite can improve Numels bulk tremendously, helping it set up more times, which is useful if youre already using a Z-move on your team. He still hits like a truck anyways, and can always set up twice if the boost is really needed thanks to the extra bulk.

Only Clefable gets Unaware, its pre evos get Friend Guard.

First, why the 10 point boost per tier? If the average base stat in OU is 100, and the average for PU is 61, then wouldn't it be more fair to do a 39 point boost?

Tangela was THICC , like REALLY THICC, it also had regenerator
, Base 155 defense with an eviolite is madness. It was tested in calcs that it even lived hits from premier ubers mon like kyurem white and even mega rayquaza with ease. And to be realistic if u look at some of the more nasty walls in tier shift most of them are full evolved. Save for clefairy and ferroseed, things like pyukumuku, wuag and oddly enough flareon function as better walls than most eviolite mons. Plus you also have to acknowledge that there are a pletora of knock off users in lower tiers to choose from. i really dont see eviolite being that broken , maybe its just me , maybe i need to ladder some more before i can make a proper judgment on the matter

i literally got rofflstomped by an annoying resttalk troh set rocking circle throw , of all things , that was obviously if anything else solely for exploitation of the effect. I learned something interesting though for one , the stat reduction are definitely not visual , and as well it seems the stats revert upon taking dmg upon switching into an attack

I've seen Throh pre-glitch, abusing some RestTalk set with Guts and Circle Throw, but I don't know if it's good on the metagame (at worst it's an interesting concept). Other Fighting-types such as Gurdurr are usually more common, but obviously the glitch makes Throh better than it should be under normal conditions.

The whole server is experiencing bugs in general since the last restart
i noticed when u switch out pu pokemon they lose their +40 stat buffs and sometimes for random pokes they get too much stat boosts randomly, like ferroseed for example has 550+ hp, quagsire had 120+ base speed and many more weirder ones

Its happening in ou too, zard y for example took 44% from a crit thunderbolt from mag while lando outsped a +2 timid mag. im not sure if its fixed yet or not but it shouldve been i think

i have the replay for the proof too. you will see the last round my timid charizard (PU-> 100 + 40 = 140) outspeeded by virizion (NU->108 + 30 = 138).

I think it is better to just run Eviolite (or another item) because Simple doesn't affect Z-Status Moves. Simple Growth boosts +2/+2 while Z-Growth is +1/+2.

I'd use dragon pulse over air slash, earthquake, or maybe even focus blast. It 2HKOs Guzzlord after rocks (and doesn't miss) and OHKOs Kingdra. It's also just generally good for dragons that fire blast and solar beam struggle with.

Literally Gastrodon. I stole this set from the BW analysis. EVs could probably be customized for whatever is more necessary, but they're generally just solid. Lets you take on Kabutops pretty easily. More SpD if you want to defeat Kingdra as well. 151 HP / 123 Atk / 108 Def / 132 SpA / 122 SpD / 79 Spe is Gastrodon's new stat spread, and though 132 SpA leaves a bit to be desired, nabbing a Storm Drain boost + Wise Glasses makes it actually pretty scary. Just ask Adrian Marin! ;). Having a bulky pivot that can stop Water-types and benefits from taking their hits rocks. And its got reliable recovery! Gastrodon is really cool in general, and I definitely recommend you give it a try!

Here's a list of some potentially OP mons in this metagame. (Now, I am a pretty big PKMN noob, so some of these might not be that good.)

PU:
100/92/208/87/178/70 Bastiodon. Best stall in the entirety of PS.
135/135/135/135/135/135 Silvally. Literally just an Arceus with 800 BST.
118/124/118/149/125/140 Charizard. A more powerful MCharY that doesn't require a mega stone.
125/145/95/125/90/155 Floatzel. Effectively Mega Lopunny.
101/130/85/90/90/200 Ninjask. Offensive stats like these and speed boost are seriously AG-worthy.
80/75/70/160/110/145 Kadabra. Even more of an offensive beast than Ninjask.
130/125/140/135/165/125 Articuno. Just… Just WHAT.
150/200/150/120/150/140 Regigigas. Yeah, slow start sucks, but hitting first doesn’t really matter when you have 910 BST to defend yourself with.
75/140/100/90/110/150 Dugtrio-Alola. Great offensive stats along with Sand Force, which can go quite nicely with a +20 Gigalith or Tyranitar.

NU:
105/130/96/90/96/145 Ambipom. I'm a frequent AG player, and even with access to all pokemon and all moves in the game, I see Ambipom pop up quite a lot. With these boosted stats along with Technician, it'll only be more powerful. You could either play by the FO-Resort meta or just use 60-power moves.
105/105/160/105/160/125 Uxie. Some very powerful defensive stats and some good speed to back up a substitute strat.
105/99/102/144/130/134 Delphox. Good specially offensive stats along with some decent defense. Can definitely be used as a bulky sweeper.
100/115/95/135/115/150 Sceptile. Ok, you all knew that this would be here. Very similar to Delphox with its offense and defense.
105/120/80/140/110/125 Houndoom. There are so many special offense powerhouses in NU. Delphox, Sceptile, Houndoom and
90/90/90/135/135/135 Mismagius.

RU:
70/115/200/105/65/90 Cloyster. Personally, I've seen quite a prevalence of Cloyster in OU with White Herb and Shell Smash, and the +20 will make this strat even more common.
140/90/140/95/150/105 Cresselia. A pretty good stall with a little speed behind it, similarly to Uxie.
120/120/120/120/120/120 Shaymin. Literally just Arceus-Grass.
88/84/80/134/80/137 Salazzle. Just look at that offense.
90/140/60/115/60/115 Sharpedo. JUST LOOK AT THAT OFFENSE.
85/85/80/150/115/130 Espeon. JUST LOOK AT THA- *gets shot*

UU: From what I saw, there isn't anything outstandingly juicy in UU.

OU: ... ... the stats don't even change at all. there's no point in using OUs in this metagame. there is so much more JUICE in the lower tiers.

Why boost each stat by exactly 10 points per tier? If the average stat in OU is 100, and it's 61 for PU, then wouldn't it be more fair to raise each stat of each PU Pokemon by 39 points?

i feel like you're forgetting that since everything is OP everything is balanced

Rather than calculate out each tier's difference, the flat 10 boost per tier below OU is meant to envigorate lower-tiered Pokemon, in some cases making them superior to OU standards. Again, this was intentional.

I'm not going to get into that list of "OP" Pokemon besides: Technician doesn't mean anything with mono-Normal STAB when your best boosting option is Hone Claws. Stop using Ambipom.

Some OU Pokémon are still viable. Of course, they're not as good as in OU, but that's the point of OMs anyway: to shake up things. Don't sleep on Tapu Koko or Fini, nor on defensive staples such as Chansey, Clefable or Mega Sableye.

Can confirm Gastrodon is great, but I've been using a more defensive set taken straight from Adrian Marin 's stall guide (yes the propaganda works). When rain was so prevalent I was surprised at how hard can Gastrodon actually hit once it has gotten a Storm Drain boost under rain. Gastrodon has great typing and bulk that allows it to check and/or counter rain staples such as Kabutops and Kingdra and some sand staples such as Hippowdon or Lycanroc. Not facing a weather team? Gastrodon's all around bulk will surely come in handy anyway, handling Electric- and Fire-types such fine (beware of Hidden Power Grass lures, especially on threats that would normally be stopped by Quagsire). At worst, you'll be returning Toxic on Pokémon that hate it, and I don't know why but a lot of common threats seem to dislike Toxic (maybe it's because of the bulky nature of the meta)... including Gastrodon itself. Get a cleric, or keep it away from status.

A very underrated threat in this meta would be eevee. Tier shift forums have been so focus rather stall or weather was too strong for the meta. That eevee went unnoticed with it getting +40 stats for being in lc (95/95/90/85/105/85) 565 bst. With gen 7 introducing Z moves some Pokémon had their own signature Z move like eevee. With eevee signature Z move you are required to have last resort and eevee's z stone. The Z move gives +2 stats in all which is pretty good with eevee's moveset having stored power baton pass(before the ban). With those stats eevee on any HO can setup very easy especially under aurora veil From alola ninetails. With eevee being at +2 in all stats makes it bulky enough to survive hits that could kill it before. As well giving great offensive pressure having 220bp stored power to deal with all fighting. Last resort is just as dangerous a bp of 140 coming from adaptability mon. A rest sleep talk set can deal with being worn down by poison or burn. I have used it a couple times on ladder very little can check it. There are a few mons eever can't touch like unware mons, sableye, random roar/dragon tail/red card ,and spirittomb. Oh did I forget the meme lord shedninja :P

in that replay I show off how strong it is I believe that eevee's signature Z move should be banned. On any actually good team it could cause problems for the ladder
