My suicide lead, Aerodactyl, has been a reliable Stealth Rock set-up-er on my team. I start off with taunt because I figure that Dragonite will also want to set-up something. Instead, he goes for the offense, and I am REALLY glad his Stone Edge missed. So far I know that this Dragonite is offensive and knows Stone Edge. Pretty sure that Dragonite's rock attack will hit next time, I quickly have my Aerodactyl do its job.

I do not at all regret choosing Rock Slide over Stone Edge. Sure, Stone Edge might have OHKO'd, but it also could have missed, just like Dragonite's did on the first turn. However, I do regret using taunt on the first turn, because had I used Stealth Rock first instead, Rock Slide would have 2KO'd and Aerodactyl would be the survivor. I often mis-predict with that move. Anyway, Dragonite's within revenge kill range, so I send out my best revenge killer.

That worked perfectly. Scizor took a bit of damage but got the job done. I guess Shinjackle predicted the use of Bullet Punch, which explains Extremespeed, but after this turn, I am puzzled. Why didn't Dragonite use Extremespeed to pick off my Aerodactyl? The world may never know.

Super-fast Infernape has set up a Swords Dance for a sweep, something Scizor could have stopped easily with two Bullet Punches. Ugh. On the plus side, I was comforted by my Rhyperior, a Rock-Ground type with base 130 Defense to survive an attack and base 140 Attack to OHKO with Earthquake. I click EQ, praying that Close Combat doesn't OHKO. If it does, I'm screwed.

Apparently Infernape doesn't run Close Combat. Now, what was I saying a few turns ago about Rhyperior being amazing? Rhyperior's massive defense allowed what is essentally a base 160 attack (After STAB, Swords Dance, and super-effective multipliers while factoring in Solid Rock) with well over half of his HP left, and fight back with a powerful EQ that OHKO'd the poor chimp that thought it could sweep me. I sighed with relief, knowing full well that I dodged a bullet.

Oh snap. Jolteon's one of dem speed freaks, who boasts a STAB thunderbolt that will stab my weakened Infernape in the heart (pardon my pun) and win this guy the battle. I select earthquake and hope for a miracle...

And a miracle is what I got! Apparently Jolteon's best move against me was a NVE hidden power, which I personally find pathetic on a Jolteon. It did outrun me, but Infernape survived and easily defeated Jolteon with a powerful EQ. Hoorayz!! Great game Shinjackie!
