Torment and pain, Trample the slain, Soldiers of death we know

Well, here is a new team that I've crafted. Now, this team relies somewhat on revenge kills, but there is speed, power, and a little bit of defense. This team is an offensive team, but there are two bulky pokes, to help deal with certain threats. This team will feature odd sets, but please, let me explain them xD

Here we go:

392infernape.png

Infernape @ Focus Sash
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Speed
NaiveNature (+Spe, -SpD)
- Swords Dance
- Overheat
- Thunderpunch
- Close Combat

My lead off Ape. Now, most people would suspect a lead Ape to be a Scarf, but when they switch to their "counter" for such moves a Scarf Ape could do, I Swords Dance, and do as much damage as possible. Pretty much the only standard poke on this team, and it's my lead.

473mamoswine.png

Mamoswine @ Choice Band
Trait: Snow Cloak
EVs: 64 HP/252 Atk/192 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpAtk)
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Ice Fang

Okay, now, a CBMamo with Ice Fang for slower Bulky Waters, such as Swampert. Blizzard is a null and void option, due to the lack of Skarm in the current metagame. This thing is a BEAST dragon revenge killer, and, with the obvious Ice Shard on dragons, a switch is most likely, and I can predict to something else, such as an Ape.

373salamence.png

Salamence @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 198 HP/160 SpD/152 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpAtk)
- Roost
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw

Okay, okay. Hear me out on this one. I know seems odd, but listen here. This is my version of the "BulkyMence." Now, I gave it SpecialDefense EVs for Ice Beam suport, and I don't need Defensive EVs because of what Intimidate can do. After one DD, I rerach 410 speed, and 553 attack. Couple that with instant recovery, and a temporary loss of x4 ice weak(to give it x2), this thing is a bulky sweeper. Earthquake and Dragon Claw for coverage.

145zapdos.png

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/220 SpD/36 SpA
Calm Nature (+SpD, -Atk)
- Hidden Power Ice
- Thunderbolt
- Roost
- Thunder Wave

This is my second bulkt sweeper, this time on the other end of the offensive spectrum. This this can take max SpAtk Specs Draco Meteors, and HP Ice back for the KO. This thing gives me what Cress fears the most, and that is Thunder Wave. Roost is for instant recovery as well. Thunderbolt is for a very power STAB attack. HP Ice also makes Gliscor cry.

474porygonz.png

Porygon-Z @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Adaptibility
EVs: 4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
- Tri Attack
- Ice Beam
- Dark Pulse
- Hidden Power Fighting

Choice Scarf Porygon- Z can out speed Choice Scarfed Adamant Garhcomp. A revenge killer for many common OU threats. Dark Pulse is fpr Gengar. Hiden Power [Fighting] is for Tyranitar. Ice Beam is for Dragons, and Tri Attack is for STAB sheer power. This this is a sheer beast of a special attack, and with tons of speed to boot, it's a very previlant threat.

245suicune.png

Suicune @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252Def/4 SpA
Bold Nature(+Def, -Atk)
-Surf
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Yes, this is my answer to status, and the reason Porygon-Z has Hidden Power [Fighting] over Thunderbolt. Also. I have so many Ice users, I don't need Ice Beam on this thing. So, this gives me Hidden Power [Electric], so it won't be walled by Vappy and over Water types. This RestTalker is very bulky, and can easily rest off any damage, or status, that it receives. This is a pure defensivley oriented Cune, as I have special defensivley oreinted bulky pokes.

Well, that's my team. I know I have somehwhat of a Hera weak, but I can easily predict out of the Choice sets.

Please, tell me what you think.

I don't regulary recommend the item Focus Sash to anyone, but that Infernape lead screams for its assistance. You say that the opponent switches to a counter, well, if that's the case, then why not add Focus Sash so you can realistically OHKO opposing Starmie for example. As too, Infernape's commonly a game of prediction, in where the opponent tries to resist the expected move. Naturally packed with Choice Scarf to further dominate the control of the game by forcing the Infernape to be switched out. Heatran's a fine example of this, as it resists three of Infernape's most credible and respectable attacks, Fire Blast, Hidden Power [Ice] and Grass Knot. Now, that Heatran is expected to carry Choice Scarf along with him, thus the play in countering Infernape was successful. What if that Heatran was brought in by the user, but took an unexpected Close Combat from the Infernape that was equiped with Focus Sash after a Swords Dance?

Think about it, my friend.

To be honest, I was thinking about it, but I didn't really know if it would be too obvious.
I mean, a lead Ape without Orb or Scarf?
But, it sound like like a very good idea, and I think I will take that advice.

You could just change the nature on infernape to naive and give it overheat to compensate.

The whole idea of Swords Dance Infernape is for abusing Flare Blitz' incredibly high-power even further than it would have originally without a Swords Dance, so replacing it for Overheat means that you won't be able to OHKO even neatral Pokemon that Flare Blitz is capable of. Read the analysis found on the main site for a better review and explanation. On that note, if you read my post above you will understand why Focus Sash is used - which is generally before you use Flare Blitz.

Try Blaze Kick.It doesn't get perfect accuracy, and it's a 85 base power compared to Flare Blitz 120...it's somewhat weak. But it does gets the benefit of the Swords Dance and no recoil damage. If you prefer accuracy, choose Fire Punch instead.
But,if you want, you can have Overheat too.

Flare Blitz would sort of defeat the purpose of the Sash..., it might then be better to use a Life Orb, although then you're recieving a lot of Recoil...
After one Roost, I rerach 410 speed, and 553 attack.
why hasn't anyone noticed this..., you mean Dragon Dance here, Roost doesn't raise stats...
