Thanks to priority Haze and Gastro Acid and a good defensive typing, Prankster Toxapex is a great defensive Pokemon in AAA, being able to stop setup sweepers such as Terrakion, Bisharp, and Golisopod or instantly punish Poison Heal users like Snorlax and Primarina with Gastro Acid. Priority Recover is also very notable; Toxapex can freely use Scald or Gastro Acid without needing to stay excessively healthy to check another Pokemon, since it can Recover first anyway. Toxapex's good typing also allows it to switch in on various other Pokemon, including Fire-types such as Cinderace. Scald discourages physical attackers like Bisharp from switching in on Toxapex. A Bold nature alongside 252 HP and 252 Defense EVs maximizes Toxapex's physical bulk to check Terrakion better. Depending on team needs, other abilities can be considered over Prankster, like Levitate for taking on Ground-types, but Prankster is still a better option overall.

Toxapex fits best on balanced and defensive teams that appreciate its defensive utility. Corviknight, especially Thick Fat variants, is an exceptional teammate; it checks Ground-types such as Mamoswine and Excadrill that threaten Toxapex while providing Defog support to prevent its team from being weakened by entry hazards. It also can check Noivern, which can easily beat Toxapex. However, as Corviknight can be sometimes overwhelmed by Noivern, more specific checks like Assault Vest Silvally-Steel and Jirachi can be considered instead. In return, Toxapex can notably take on Terrakion for Corviknight. Since Toxapex doesn't like taking Shadow Ball from Ghost-types like Dragapult and Gengar, Pokemon such as Snorlax, Tyranitar, and Grimmsnarl can provide a switch-in to these Pokemon. Snorlax is a notable teammate because, thanks to Poison Heal, it can absorb status and Knock Off for Toxapex, enabling its longevity. Other Pokemon such as Poison Heal Clefable and Magic Bounce Hippowdon can be also considered for this role, as they offer similar support.

Generally, gastro acid is favored as the most important move to have on Toxapex, because it gives it an option against poison healers such as (notably) Snorlax and Primarina. Toxic--while inarguably a good move--has fallen out of favor for the most part as Toxapex switchins tend to have a way to avoid its effect.

Thanks to a priority Haze due to Prankster and a good defensive typing, Toxapex is a great defensive Pokemon in AAA. It's able to stop setup sweeper such as Terrakion, Triage Togekiss, and Golisopod. Being able to Recover first is also very notable; Toxapex can freely use Scald or Toxic without need to stay excessively healthy to check another Pokemon, since it can Recover first anyway.

For the same reasons as above, I think it's worth leading with how gastro acid makes it so Toxapex isn't virtually at a loss against common poison heal users, because that's no small achievement. Shutting down passive recovery is huge--especially when it comes at +1 priority. Gastro Acid also has some niche use against other assorted abilities but those generally aren't as important as poison heal.

Also, it's not totally accurate to list Triage Togekiss as something that Toxapex walls, as they can easily fit psychic into their set and blow it back.

Notable physical attackers that Toxapex also handles are Bisharp and Cinderace, which can sometimes be difficult to deal with.

while Toxic is a valuable move to punish Pokemon such as Hydreigon, Dragapult, and Mandibuzz, that don't really mind the burn coming of Scald.

Dark types are immune to prankster status ailments, and with Toxic having fallen out of favor this point might not be necessary.

Snorlax is a notable teammate because it can beat Poison Heal user like Primarina, that Toxapex is unable to beat.

In a more general sense, Toxapex appreciates teammates that can take knock offs and status ailments for it, as that enables its longevity in a game.

add info on what it's typing enables it to check. Examples being Fire types like Cinderace and Fighting-types like Conkeldurr

Toxapex's good typing also allows it to switch in on various others Pokéemon, likeincluding Fire-types such as Cinderace (just two things here I wanted to touch on: Smogon analyses leave out the accent in "Pokemon," and as for the "like" to "including" change, that just seemed like a preferable option there, but "like" is grammatically correct). Scald discourages physical attackers like Bisharp to switch in on Toxapex. A Bold nature alongside 252 PVHP and 252 Defense EVs maximizes the Toxapex's physical bulk, asand it's needed to takecheck Terrakion better (I'm assuming you meant HP instead of PV?).
