[OVERVIEW]

Tsareena carves an effective niche for itself thanks to its access to Queenly Majesty, U-turn, a powerful STAB attack, and a slew of other support-oriented attacks, but the narrow scope of all of these elements means that Tsareena only finds a place on very specific team compositions. Tsareena's entire modus operandi is to prevent its enemy from disrupting its partners; it can block Fake Out and other priority attacks with Queenly Majesty, give its partners safe switches with a relatively slow U-turn, eliminate Stealth Rock for its partners, or even pick up valuable KOs against some problematic Pokemon. Grass typing makes it a good partner to common Fire-type Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y and Volcarona while complementing rain teams with a resistance to Grass- and Electric-type attacks. Unfortunately, mono-Grass typing also means that Tsareena is weak to many types and only has one commonly resisted STAB attack. Common threats like Mega Charizard Y, Genesect, and Mega Salamence all fear nothing from Tsareena while threatening huge amounts of damage to it or its partner.

Moves

Power Whip can deal some surprising damage for a Pokemon known more for its supportive capabilities and is therefore a mainstay on Tsareena. U-turn allows Tsareena to function as a pivot, absorbing attacks and providing safer switches for its partners. High Jump Kick is most effective on teams that appreciate more options for damaging Kartana and Incineroar, such as rain teams, while Rapid Spin is a necessity on teams packing Pokemon that take significant damage from Stealth Rock, like Volcarona and Mega Charizard Y. Helping Hand gives Tsareena the ability to boost its partners' attacks, while Feint is handy for preventing opponents from stalling out field conditions like Tailwind and rain.

Set Details
========

The given HP and Defense investment allows Tsareena to survive a U-turn from standard Genesect with an Attack boost from Download. An Adamant nature alone provides enough power for Tsareena to 2HKO standard Tapu Fini with Power Whip at -1 Attack, and the remaining EVs are dumped into Special Defense. Figy Berry is especially useful given Tsareena's tendency to switch into attacks and pivot back out frequently.

Usage Tips
========

The combination of serviceable bulk, the usefulness of Queenly Majesty, and access to U-turn means that Tsareena is a great pivot. Switching into and blocking a Fake Out for its partner can buy Tsareena's team so much momentum, and the threat of doing so will cause opponents to second guess their actions. Be careful not to make too many telegraphed switches, as many Pokemon with access to Fake Out have options that can punish a predicted Tsareena switch quite effectively. When not acting as a switch and U-turn bot, Tsareena can chunk many common Pokemon with Power Whip or provide valuable support in the form of Helping Hand or Feint. If using Rapid Spin, be sure to preserve Tsareena until entry hazards are gone or opposing hazard setters are KOed; this ensures the partners that need Stealth Rock off the field will not be severely weakened for the rest of the battle.

Team Options
========

There are two main types of Pokemon next to which Tsareena finds a niche: Pokemon that flourish on rain teams and Pokemon with a 4x weakness to Stealth Rock. On rain teams, Tsareena should opt for High Jump Kick to chunk Kartana and prevent it from setting up a Substitute for free. Feint is often chosen over Helping Hand to prevent opponents from stalling out rain, but Helping Hand can still be useful for further boosting powerful attacks already given a boost by the rain. Power Whip's ability to eliminate Tapu Fini also makes it immensely valuable for rain teams that pack Kingdra as a sweeper. In return, rain teams easily handle Fire-types that can threaten Tsareena. Examples of such Fire-types include Volcarona and Mega Charizard Y, both of which also happen to value the support Tsareena can provide. When used in conjunction with either of these Pokemon, Tsareena should opt to use Rapid Spin to keep its partners safe from Stealth Rock. Helping Hand is especially useful to boost the powerful Heat Waves being fired by both Charizard and Volcarona, but High Jump Kick is still a viable option given its ability to significantly damage the somewhat problematic Incineroar.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Assault Vest might be a tempting item choice on Tsareena, especially if Feint has already been chosen for the final move, but Figy Berry is almost always better because Tsareena is most effectively used as a pivot, and switching into Stealth Rock is an easy way to make sure Tsareena gets to chow down. Knock Off and Protect are both viable choices in the fourth moveslot as well, but they struggle to make the most of Tsareena's turns on the field in a wider variety of situations.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fire-types**: Resisting Power Whip, threatening huge damage, and switching into a predicted non-U-turn are traits shared by all relevant Fire-types not named Volcanion, making them excellent checks to Tsareena. Incineroar is perhaps the best man for the job given its ability to lower Tsareena's Attack with Intimidate, especially if Tsareena is not packing High Jump Kick, but Mega Charizard Y and Volcarona both do the job excellently as well.

**Flying-types**: Common Flying-type Pokemon like Zapdos and Mega Salamence take very little damage from any of Tsareena's attacks and can generally ignore its presence altogether in favor of setting up Tailwind or firing attacks into Tsareena's partner.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types are largely not threatened by Tsareena, since most relevant Steel-type Pokemon resist Power Whip and are take neutral damage from High Jump Kick, with the notable exception being Kartana. Genesect can freely pivot off Tsareena, and Mega Metagross can target Tsareena's partner without fear.

**Poison-types**: Amoonguss and Mega Venusaur need not fret in the face of Tsareena; taking insignificant damage from any of Tsareena's attacks, both of these Poison-types can threaten Tsareena with a Sludge Bomb or focus on its partner.

**Kyurem-B**: Only fearing a High Jump Kick on a predicted switch, Kyurem-B threatens Tsareena with its powerful Ice-type attacks and useful resistance to Grass-type attacks.

Overview
  • You do a good job of noting Tsareena's strong points here, but should also mention its problems, since it is only tier 5 for a reason. I would talk about mono Grass-typing giving Tsar a plethora of weaknesses and a single, commonly resisted STAB, and that the specific support Tsar provides only makes it worth using on a handful of teams compared to generally better Pokemon.
Set Comments
  • When you write up, be sure to mention what HJK hits, Kart and Incin being the biggest two targets.
  • I'd keep Feint as a slash on the set, IMO.
Set Details
  • You should have a point talking about Figy Berry.
Team Options
  • Those seem like the main compositions to me; I was thinking of suggesting you add Deo/Phero HO stuff here, but I think Lele is quite strictly better there. Just add that Tsar smacking Fini for rain (mainly Kingdra) is nice, and maybe that rain deals with Fire-types in return.
Other Options
  • This appears fine, looking through Tsar's movepool nothing else looks that useful.
Checks and Counters
  • Add Poison-types (Mega Venu and Amoon), they're tickled by all of Tsar's attacks and can hit it with a super effective Sludge Bomb.
  • Add Ice-types (Kyurem-B), it threatens Tsar and only fears being caught by HJK on a switch.

Do this for QC 1/2.

OV

  • The lead sentence right now, while factually true, is a bit of an oversell; it's indeed an effective pick but it doesn't also make it apparent that it's really just a tier 5 Pokemon. At the same time, the last sentence of the paragraph is written in a way that it's effectively fluff, though I do know what you mean by it; of course, any Pokemon can be effective in the right team. Integrate this last sentence's point of it being specifically niche with the overview instead to fix both problems.
  • Put current sentence 3 before current sentence 2, that talks about the actual niche more while the typing thing feels more secondary.
  • There should be more emphasis on things that make it bad; emphasize that its coverage is bad mentioning top the top threats it can't hit, ditto for the things that destroy it. Make the "support it provides is very specific to certain team compositions" stand out on its own. rn it feels like you wrote this OV for a tier 3 Pokemon
Moves
  • Keep the points on the second clause on the Power Whip sentence, the first one feels really fluffy.
