Pokemon: Abomasnow
Type:
BST: 87 / 115 / 75 / 118 / 70 / 110 | BST: 570 (-3 HP, +23 Atk, +25 SpA, -15 SpD, +10 Spe)
Abilities: Snow Warning / Technician
(HA)
New Moves: Power Whip, Leaf Storm, Freeze Dry
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: Swords Dance sets with Technician can bust through most defensive teams easily with Bullet Seed + Icicle Crash. Specs sets can utilize Snow Warning Blizzards to punch big holes in teams as well. Even mixed sets are formidable with their dangerous coverage options, like Focus Blast, Earthquake, dual STAB and even priority.
Pokemon: Decidueye
Type:
BST: 78 / 122 / 75 / 58 / 125 / 102 | BST: 570 (+15 Atk, -32 SpA, +25 SpD, +32 Spe)
Abilities: Overgrow / Cursed Body
(HA)
New Moves: Leech Seed, Taunt, Stone Edge
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: Y'all know CAP? If you do, you probably know Pajantom. If you do, then you know why this is terrifying. If not, a quick run down. This mon + defensive cores = gg wp. Decidueye can quite simply 6-0 stall teams that are not adequately prepared. Its no push over against offense either, with STAB priority and strong attacks to back it up. Its not without faults tho. Its defense leaves much to be desired, its Pursuit bait, and is hard countered by Alolan Persian and Stuntank. Still, Decidueye is here to show you all that Spirit Shackle isn't just a strong STAB attack.
Pokemon: Jumpluff
Type:
BST: 85 / 95 / 85 / 65 / 105 / 135 | BST: 570 (+10 HP, +40 Atk, +15 Def, +10 SpA, +10 SpD, +20 Spe)
Abilities: Chlorophyll / Steelworker /
Infiltrator (HA)
New Moves: Light Screen, Earthquake, Meteor Mash
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: You can't do better as a defensive Grass/Steel type than Ferrothorn. Give it Flash Fire and its quite frankly broken. Same goes for Kartana, who is banned in almost every OM that gives it a smidgen more power. So I decided to go another route - the most annoying Pokemon alive. Jumpluff has a bunch of annoying strats like SubSeed, Strength Sap (yikes!), Sleep Powder and Memento that are just DYING to be utilized. With an amazing defensive typing, blazing speed and good bulk, Jumpluff can go for plenty different sets on a team. It can even go Steelworker + Choice Band and cheese opponents with respectable power.
Pokemon: Vileplume
Type:
BST: 85 / 90 / 105 / 130 / 110 / 60 | BST: 570 (+10 HP, +10 Atk, +20 Def, +20 SpA, -+20 SpD, +10 Spe)
Abilities: Effect Spore / Chlorophyll / Rain Dish
(HA)
New Moves: Focus Blast, Knock Off, Trick
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification/Niche: While its not Ammonguss, Vileplume is definitely no softie. 85/105/110 bulk is great, checking a large variety of threats in the meta. With a 130 SpA, it can pack a PUNCH, running Specs and making itself known on TR and bulky teams.
