Type Pokemon should've/shouldn't have been

Wait, what happened when Smeargle used Roost, did it become typeless?

Its in one of the research threads I believe, but after using Conversion to change its type to Flying then using Roost all attack types hit for neutral damage.

i think cloyster should have just been pure water. gets rid of his fighting/ stealth rock weakness. making him a better wall.

really i dont see what a clam/ shellfish/ oyster/ whatever has anything to do with ice.

I'll state the obvious:

Sudowoodo + Rock type = WTF?

Do y'all ever read the pokedex entries or anything? He's a rock that's pretending to be a tree to outsmart his natural enemies, like Water pokemon and Ground pokemon, who would leave a Grass pokemon alone. Which is also why Bonsly evolves after learning Mimic, so he can Mimic a plant better. Kind of an odd idea, but that's his story, so.

^
It is a funny idea . . .

*Oddish and Squirtle are walking through the woods together*
*Sudowoodo standing still imitating a tree*

Oddish: Do you see any rocks to eat?
Squirtle: Nah, only trees here.
Oddish: Darn, I really wanted some rock. :/
Squirtle: I know, that just sucks.

-.-'

no

Direct quote from the Emerald pokedex entry: "It mimics a tree to avoid being attacked by enemies. But since its forelegs remain green throughout the year, it is easily identified as a fake in the winter."

And from Fire Red's pokedex entry: "It disguises itself as a tree to avoid attack. It hates water, so it will disappear if it starts raining."

Why didn't a pinsir evo even cross gamefreak's mind? They could have at least given him fighting bug.(would be awesome with mold breaker)
fighting bug would be more logical.

Because then he would have been a carbon copy of Heracross-- what's the point? He already has almsot the same stats as heracross too . . . If they were going to give him an evo (like a scyther-style evo) would want a new type combination. Something Bug-Ground. That would've been cool. :/

BTW-- anyone know that Beatle keeping is a really common pass time for young boys in Japan? Japan also has a professional Beatle wrestling curcuit, and a world championship. -.-

Maybe that's why there are so many Bug Catchers in the games... to me that's just gross, I can't stand bugs. Apart from Heracross, he's fierce enough for me to ignore that he's a disgusting insect.

maybe abother steel bug with huge metal crushing pincers.

or maybe a rock bug. something other than a heraclone.

They have bug fighting video games too, at every arcade. :D There are little vending machines where you can buy card packs with random bug cards. Press the card on the video game, and the bug you got from the pack has its info loaded on the game, so you can fight with the bugs whose cards you collect. :P

Cool thing is those video games are based on real insects and if you go to book stores and stuff, you can buy books on beatles from all over the world, and it will even show you stuff like the comparative Attack/Speed/Defenses of different species of beatle. The pet stores also carry everything you need to raise beatles-- beatle homes, beatle home furnishings, beatle prefered wood chips, cups of easy to feed gelatin that beatles love to eat . . . and of course the beatles themselves. Some specialty stops carry more species, and beatle training equipment too for those who are serious about competing in beatle sumo.

Man I love Japan . . . lol

I was heart broken when I found out Flygon wasn't Bug / Dragon, that would have been such a cool type combo

Dunsparce should get a Normal / Dragon or Normal / Ghost evo, he needs some more love.

Pinsir would be pretty cool as Bug / Dark or Bug / Ground, both sort of make sense

Seems to me like Probopass should have been Rock / Electric, he can use a bunch of Electric attacks, and bannette should get a Ghost / Fighting evo, or maybe Ghost / Dark, since Dusclops got an evolution when he was the better one to begin with

Bulbasaur should've been a pure Grass type. =\

Hoot-hoot and Noctowl should've been Psychic/Flying. But I guess since you could catch it early in-game, they made it the typical Normal/Flying type.

Stantler should be Normal/Psychic type.

Seviper should be Poison/Dark type.

Mawile should be Steel/Dark type.

Torkoal looks like a Fire/Rock type. But I guess they didn't want to make it crap like Magcargo.

Its actually become that some beetles are becoming endangered the same way that terrapins became after TMNT first started although they were plentiful enough in the first place.

To the people who think Pinsir should have gotten an evolution, when GSC was about to come out, Heracross was planned as a Pinsir evolution to match Scyther => Scizor, but for some reason Game Freak dumped the idea.

Pinsir should get a Steel evolution like Pinsir, except ALL OFFENSE. Unlike Scizor, who's a team player, Pinsir's evo would be a monstrous bug/steel thing that would make Heracross crap his pants. Maybe it could be bug/flying, like a scarab? (oops...hera is a scarab)

Well... the whole japanese beetle sumo thing was... interesting. I'd like to see more on that from GameFreak.
