Type Reflectors

Since bug teams are so bad, check out these BAD BUGZ for a little inspiration.

You have a fair set of donors, but unless you use Pinsir, you're always stacking weaknesses, so I just opt for Shuckle to get webs + rocks.

Mienshao @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge

Mienshao gets a nice stab on U-turn and has regenerator to go along with it. This thing his very hard and is fast enough that most balance teams can have serious trouble switching in on it.

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge / Stealth Rock

Nothing special here. Landorus gets your same old boring scarf set, but now it gets a usable secondary stab on top of a much harder hitting U-turn. Forms a nice voltTurn core with mienshao and manectric, though the rock weakness is a real pain for the type as a whole.

Manectric-Mega @ Manectite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Signal Beam
- Volt Switch
- Flamethrower / HP-counter-meta-trends
- Thunderbolt

Electric and bug is a very nice stab combination, hitting most things neutrally and giving mega manectric more options than just thunderbolt, flamethrower and HP ice.

Metagross-Mega @ Metagrossite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Fury Cutter
- Power-Up Punch
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

This set originally was conceived as a joke, but it has proven scarily effective. Mega metagross already has stupidly high defense, but when it gains the AMAZING bug/steel type combo, it can act as a serious win condition and stallbreaker later in games. Once you get a couple Fury Cutters going, only a fire attack is forcing this thing out. I really encourage people to try this one out.

Arcanine @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Will-O-Wisp
- Overheat
- Roar
- Morning Sun

Because bug teams are universally a best neutral to fire attacks, it's nice to have an immunity, since otherwise Char Y will sweep your team. Arcanine is one of the best at doing this, since it has recovery (that is bolstered by Char Y's sun) and can phaze out would be sweeps.
