Multi Gen Ubers Battle of the Week - Suspended for now

IMO Furai should set an example by johning hardcore so all the inactive people in the Ubers Premier League might actually think about their actions...or lack thereof.

It's because furai johned about doing his flips and act. wins that nobody cared to play :p

GG furai, well played. It was a fun battle where it essentially came down to a mind game, or so I would like to think. I don't think I could have won no matter the call actually, kanga strong.

I did have a bit of trouble with my team structure as I had to bring down his unexpected specs Dialga with my Destiny Bond Gengar. After that his Kanga could just spam Fake Outs everywhere, and with no real good check except the Arceus-Grass I misplayed in the beginning, there was simply too little room for a comeback. Why I stayed in with Grassceus is a pure mistake, a switch to Heatran would obviously be better. However, Furai made a slight misplay later on to compensate for that, so it evened out in the end. Anyway fun battle!

one more turn of toxic damage and you had it, the battle was really up and down for both of us. the toxic you spread on me and taking out my dialga really took out a lot of my momentum

gg bud, let's have more of these for spl [:

Ah there were some interesting mind games

-turn 4: Hack just took a dm from specs dialga and decided to double on the assumed ho-oh switch-in predicting furai to abuse that Recover turn to get the bird in for free. Furai actually predicted this, though, and brought in Groudon which messed with Scarf Kyogre's attempts to eat things.

then there's a double switch that wasn't really a mind game. Hack expected Furai to punish with Donner and made the safe switch to phys def yveltal while Furai wanted to avoid a Spout on his Ground and so went to Water Arceus. This ended up in a three turns stalemate where Furai didn't want to switch out and have Toxic spread farther while Hack was hoping to punish Furai's switch expecting him to not actually stay in 3 turns Toxic'd when Water Ac can't do anything thanks to sun being up. It ended with the sun ending and furai switching to specs dialga expecting hack to either switch out as well or Toxic again (so he'd be in a favorable position either way).

The next interesting play is when Hack's Yveltal was in on Furai's Tina-o. Hack predicted the Dialga switch-in and made the right double switch to his Gengar and then promptly removed Dialga with Dbond. (silly Furai)

After that, like Hack already said, Kangskhan cleaned up because he had nothing left that could handle it. Basically, Hack lost because he brought a team that was Dialga weak.

Yeah, spot on. Although I could have had a better chance by not eating the DM from Dialga (which I excepted to be scarfed).

This was a good battle and both teams made some great plays. It was interesting seeing how much the Mega Pokemon influenced the battle (Mega Gengar taking out a key threat to Hack's team, Mega Kangaskhan winning Furai the game), showing just how potent they actually are. I wouldn't say Hack's team was so much Dialga weak (though he certainly didn't like Specs Dialga) as it was Kanga weak since really nothing on his team could beat it without risking huge damage and/or death. Mega Gengar isn't exactly a good check unless it was packing Focus Blast.
