Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
I'd like to request a semi stall team around Slowking + offensive Dragalge. Now you'll have to excuse me for not listing sets. I'm fairly new to UU So I don't know which sets are the most optimal/ what kind of variations you can run, so I'll let the builder choose the set for each.
The reason why I want a team around these two is because of the typing synergy and the roles they fill. Dragalge covers a lot of weakness Slowking has such as x4 resisting grass and resisting electric while also having moves such as tspikes and dragon tail for phazing if you so choose. Slowking seems nice as it seems to hit what semi stall likes to do which is take hits, recover off damage, and hit back for meaningful damage/ have utility.
Sorry this took a while but here's the CB Mence + SD Lucario core. I don't think Iron Tail on Lucario was as necessary considering Mence already had it and could lure most of the relevant Fairy-types anyhow so I have Crunch there to be able to take advantage of weakened Reun, Cress, Doublade from Mence. Scarf Shaymin checks the likes of Feraligatr and such, it has surprise factor since not many people expect Scarf so you can do stuff like removing Crobat easily, don't have DGleam for Dreigon etc because they're setup fodder for Slurpuff. Shaymin's mainly there for Healing Wish + Scald switch in though to ensure either Pert, Puff, or Luc could have multiple chances to sweep and so Suicune and other Water-types aren't annoying. Pert + Puff is a cool core I've found, basically Pert's Adamant so it can purposely get revenge killed by every Scarf user in the tier so that Slurpuff can setup with ease. Adamant Pert also has more damage output to easily wear down stuff like Forry and Cresselia. Pert works surprisingly decent against Cresselia because you can limit her recovery by setting Rain too so that's nice. Lastly, I have Azelf for Rocks setting + Fire Blast to weaken Aggron and heavily damage Steel-types.
This team brought me to a whopping 21-0 record already (under an alt you have already known), to which I can attest this team is solid enough to handle most threats.
As for my thought process, Swampert came to my mind as its biggest support mon for Fletchinder as it can pressure any Rock-, Steel-, and Electric-type in the tier. That, in turn, pushed me to use Christo The Gr8's infamous Swampert + Roserade + Forretress hazard-stack core extracted from his team, Aerolyn. The hazard pressure given by the core will be of great help not only to Fletchinder in converting boosted Acrobatics KO's, but also to Assault Vest Reuniclus and Stall-breaking Hydreigon (as Taunt exerts pressure against Defog users).
Tell me if you have anything that can make this team better, or that can pinpoint its weakness worth addressing. Otherwise, I'm very satisfied with this output. All other criticism is also appreciated. =)

Thanks a ton :> Will let you know what I learn from playing it and if I can think of any changes. After several games, might make a RMT to pool general UU knowledge and see if any recommendations help out (will ofc credit you as the teambuilder).
Hi,
I would like to request a balanced/offense team around pangoro and doublade. These pokemon seem to cover each others weaknesses really well and even complement each other, doublade serves as a potential win condition against offence while panda destroys walls/stall making way for doublade to clean up the opposing team. The sets below can be changed if necessary:
Pangoro @ Lum Berry/ Life Orb
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 108 HP / 252 Atk / 148 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Drain Punch
- Knock Off
- Gunk Shot
And
Doublade @ Eviolite
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
Adamant nature
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Sneak
- Iron Head
- Sacred Sword

Ok so I found that while you requested AV Esca, Esca in general is just so much better off running Lefties for balance (or Band for offensive teams) as the passive recovery is really nice in checking the shit it needs to check. I noticed that I need a physical wall to complement the special bulk Escav provided as well as providing a Fire resist so I went with reg Swampert. Next, I needed something fast as Esca and Pert were very slow and I needed a secondary Fire resist as Pert is easily worn down especially if it gets statused so I went with Mega Houndoom, who also provided this team with a nice win condition that is void of being revenge killed except via priority. Next up, I needed a mon that would provide setup opportunities as well as lure in Fire-types for MegaDoom so I added Defensive Whimsicott. Crobat is the obligatory entry hazard remover for the team and I went with the offensive Sky Plate set to hit hard and I had a check to Mega Bee with Esca Pursuit trapping it. Reuniclus was added as a bulky win condition and to round out the team's archetype of offensive balance. Reuniclus also provided a more solid status switch-in since this team lacked a cleric and had to rely on their typings to avoid status (Esca's Steel typing preventing Toxic, etc.). Overall, I hope you like the team! :)
I'd like to request a team based around Specs Kyurem. Specs Kyurem looks like an extremely powerful wall-breaker, easily spamming both STAB moves with little switching into both. Looking forward to an extremely powerful team ! Thanks in advance !
- Have a one paragraph description with the set / core you want us to build around and a slight idea of what kind of team you want the end result to be. Also, actually have the set(s) you want us to use in your post. This makes the process of building teams faster for all of us here.
sorry Hey i was wondering if anybody could make a balance team w/ a specs/scarf hydragon and spdef zapdos???
Hydreigon @ Choice Specs/scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid/Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Flamethrower/Superpower/Iron tail/focus blast
- U-turn
Fun,to use, at least for me.Great revenge killer it can kill things like florges w/iron tail and can bop things like forretress and toxicroak even. Its great utility just w/ the move u turn allowing for great momentum, allowing me to more safley and with less commitment to one mon essentially allowing me to double switch safley.Dark pulse is pwerful STAB as well as a powerful enough move to wall breack when combined w/specs and STAB and that sptack stat.Scarf being a but more of a revenge killer, while specs is more of a wall breacker than scarf is.
Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Heat Wave/toxic/twave
- Volt Switch
- Defog /toxic/twave (toxic and twave should not be run on he same set)
- Roost
I love zapdos, ithought he was fine in ou but he still fits in uu!This set is a great special wall.It can eat up many hits while dealing decent damage or just stalling w/ toxic and roost spam. This mon is just rly rly rly fun for me soooo yeah. ThankYou :D
Zoroark @ Life Orb
Ability: Illusion
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Dark Pulse
- Focus Blast
- Flamethrower
This actually has to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen play out in my entire life. The idea is, NP Lucario and NP Zoroark offensively complement each other very nicely as Lucario can break a lot of defensive cores with its STABs alone and Flash Cannon allows it to beat Fairy-types. Also, Vacuum Wave allows it to bop Cobalion, which is otherwise a threat to them both. Meanwhile, Zoroark handles stuff like Doublade and bulky Psychic-types such as Slowking and Cresselia.
Also Zoroark's Illusion is really fun here as both Pokemon can learn Nasty Plot and Dark Pulse, so you can pull some really funny mindgames, especially when you lure in Cobalion because they think you're disguising Zoroark as Lucario, only for it to get bopped by a +2 Vacuum Wave etc etc etc.
Thanks to Christo The Gr8 for working with me on this one. Modest Specs Kyurem is an utterly devastating wallbreaker - it 2HKOs more or less the entire tier, making it one of the least forgiving 'mons to switch into. Spikes are a natural pairing, as they allow you to get consistent 2HKOs even against the best special walls in the tier, such as Snorlax, Blissey and specially defensive Florges. I also wanted to combine it with another wallbreaker that can also sweep, Life Orb CM Reuniclus. The two of them are terrific at breaking down balance and bulky offense. So, I knew as a starting place I'd be going with Spikes, Specs Kyurem and LO Reuni.
For my hazard core, I went with the fairly standard combo of Forry and Pert, giving me two hazards, hazard removal and defensive pivots in just a pair of teamslots. Florges came on to give me a reliable switch-in to Hydreigon, and it also helps wear down bulky Steel types (many of whom lack recovery) with its boosted Moonblasts, to help Kyurem and Reuni spam their STABs. For the mega, I went with Aero. This added some much-needed speed to the team, helped me against offense in general, gave me a reliable revenge killer and a ground immunity. Because the team was looking a bit weak to opposing Reuniclus, I went with a four attacks set carrying Crunch. However, three attacks + Roost is also quite good here, so feel free to shift the set around a bit if you prefer. The Aero spread is my favorite spread for it right now; it hits 395 Speed and 400 Attack, while also retaining the bulk necessary to survive Jolly LO Mamoswine's Ice Shard after rocks.
From testing the team I've had a lot of success with it. I just brought it to a fairly large UU room tour and it pretty easily took me to finals, and I've tested with some friends and it holds up well against offense, balance and stall.
Hope you like it!
EDIT: Oh yeah, Calm Florges is no mistake btw - the team had a fair bit of physical bulk already, while special wallbreakers (such as opposing Kyurems) were proving problematic. Luckily Adamant CB Heracross, one of the main reasons for running Bold Florges, is less common than it used to be, and this team doesn't have a terrible time against it regardless. It also means you win 1v1 against opposing CM Florges' barring hax, which is kind of a big deal considering how threatening that set is to bulky offense.
I would like to request an offensive team built around LO Roost Zapdos and Mega Swampert. This core is very good as Mega Swampert helps Zapdos with Rock and Electric types, while Zapdos hits everything hard and helps MEga Swampert with bulky waters and Grasses. I've already built a team around this, but I wanna see what you guys create, and if it's even better than my team! Thanks! :)
The Sets:
Zapdos @ Life Orb
Timid Nature
EVS: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Moves:
- Thunderbolt / Volt Switch
- Heat Wave
- Hidden Power Grass
- Roost

I got the idea for the core of Mega Blastoise and Roserade for a "guns and roses" core. Both have good offensive capabilities and good coverage, and the combination of spin and spikes is good hazard support. Blastoise can take fire and ice hits that hit Roserade hard and in turn, Roserade can take grass and electric hits. The Mega Blastoise set is the one I use the most. I think water/fighting/ice coverage is the best possible for Blastoise (imo dark pulse isn't really needed.) Water pulse is my favorite STAB choice for Blastoise, but feel free to change it to Scald. I would prefer not worrying about missing Hydros and the power doesn't seem to do that much extra. This is also my favorite Roserade set, but feel free to put Sleep Powder over HP Fire or Spikes if needed. I would like the team to be balance because it is my favorite play style but bulky offense works too.

So far I'm at 1650s with this team and I started at 1500s.
I think I'm doing good with it because I am having a lot of fun with this team. I kind of wished I used it on my ULT account because I would really appreciate being at 1650s :P. Anyway it's an offensive team with Mienshoa being a star component. What I was thinking when building this team was the bluff and what would switch into Mienshoa if they feared the Fighting stab. After that I came up with some physical attackers that would switch into those pokemon an abuse the +2 attack. I have entei for wilowispers and to break everything at plus 2. I have swampert for bulky poisons and rain dance sweep. I had Doublade over Tangrowth at first but I lost to offensive water types really easy even with Heliolisk. Tangrowth fills a lot of holes I had in this team. Sleep powder disables a pokemon on the opposing team and I can even sweep with it. Physical Tangrowth was not to accommodate Mienshoa but rather a win condition. Empoleon is for all the bulky water types that want to set up and its SR and defog support as well as a draco eater.
I thought this pokemon may be cool in the meta, as its useful resistances and high bulk allow it to stall out a lot of pokemon in combination with Pressure. With this spread and Toxic, it can lure normal checks like Hydreigon and Mega Sceptile, as well as stall out special walls like most Blisseys, Umbreon, and Wish + Protect Florges. The trouble is I've found it hard to fit onto a team because it is walled by common pokemon like the Nidos, and set-up bait for pokemon like Reuniclus and Snorlax. Additionally it doesn't provide any support other than being a fat shit that doesn't die, and lets certain Ground Types set up rocks again and again.
This is the optimal EV spread I found, meant for creating Subs on various defensive pokemon, and outspeeding and OHKOing Feraligatr, but you can use a different one if you find it superior.
I know it's been like 7 years since you requested this team, but it finally is here. It actually is incredibly hard to build with Curse Mega Pert without it turning into stall, which I didn't want to, so I ended up doing like 6 teams with it that didn't convince me. However, I finally ended up with this and I like it.
The team started off with a core of Mega Pert + Shaymin + Moltres, because I wanted to immediately force me to make it somewhat offensive. The core looked fine for now, having wallbreakers in Shaymin and Moltres while Pert handled stall. Nevertheless, the slowness it had wasn't something good vs. offense, so I added a Crobat to remove rocks that kill Moltres and have a real fighting check. After that, Florges and Bronzong were the final mons to deal with Dragon-types as well as Mamo and Nidos while having a cleric that could wake Pert up. The team was pretty solid at that point, except for the weakness to Chandelure and Curselax. After testing a bit and talking with some friends about the team, I decided that Moltres was not needed, as the Grass weakness was already covered by Crobat (main thing why I added Moltres). That's when offensive CM Melo was used as a replacement, as it pressure opposing Chandelure to not use Shadow Ball, making Swampert's job of checking it way easier. Aside from that, it adds another neat win condition that does great vs. balance and offense, thanks to its speed tier and power after just 1 CM. Regarding Snorlax, pressure it as much as you can and don't let it set up or you'll be forced to start a Curse war with Pert (you kinda win if you are at full).

Hello, I'm new to UU and I would like to request a team around Defensive Zapdos and Mega Beedrill. Feel free to edit them however you like. (I'd really appreciate if you didn't change the nature on Zapdos however.)
Zapdos is a tank, it can take physical hits and special hits alike, can set statuses with Discharge and Toxic, and has access to recovery with Lefties/Roost. Roar for setup/wallbreakers.
Together I think these two make a great core, however I am new to this tier so I don't know entirely and I'm open to sugestions/improvements on either of these mons. Thanks much :)
