Unnamed Team...

So Gyarados over Regirock? And what is the strategy in using Taunt?

Also, does anyone have a good idea for an OFFENSIVE umbreon? seeing as My blissey can do the healing, I see no need for Wish and Baton Pass on Umbreon too.

So i replaced Heracross with Gyarados, but I'm gonna keep my Metagross, unless someone could give me legit proof of that moveset being better than mine.

LOL. Umbreon is NOT an offensive Pokemon. The closest thing you should even be attempting for that is a Curse-Passer with Payback and maybe Wish, in which case, Regirock would make a great addition as the recipient of that.

As for Taunt, it's just sort of all-purpose, because Taunt is a great move. You shut down any Vaporeon and Suicune that doesn't have HP Electric to stop you, prevent people from statusing you once you get a DD up, etc. etc. All kinds of effective uses for Taunt, try it and see.

Metagross looks fine, it would work against most leads except Heatran / Machamp etc.

Taunt is a move to use when your opponent's Gyarados counter isn't packing Electric or Rock type attacks. Common things to Taunt are Skarm, Bronzong, Forretress, and Blissey.

i still don't like the Metagross set as it becomes an inferior Jirachi. Also you lose out on bulk by running that set which means that Metagross will die quicker. Pokemon such as Azelf and Jirachi work better than Metagross at being a trick lead as they are much faster.

EDIT: Also your umbreon does not really work on the team as well and putting Regirock in over Gyarados only increases your fighting weakness.

Isnt Jirachi an Uber? And I have had decent success with the metagross moveset, so is there something that can use the same/similar moveset while being more effective in using it? And you are right about umbreon not really belonging...but I dont know what else I would put.

Scratch that. I'm definately using A Trick Jirachi over TrickGross. Soo much better. The only question now is what to replace Umbreon with. :P

Jirach is not uber and does the exact same thing as Metagross but with Iron Head (60% flinch rate with Serene Grace factored in) over Meteor Mash and U-turn over Pursuit. The main reason that Jirachi is a better trick user then metagross is that Jirachi is faster and slightly bulkier than Metagross authough Metagross hits things harder.

EDIT: Beaten lol

If you swap what used to be Heracross for a Swords Dance Scizor, you can accomplish similar tasks in the sense of pure raw damage to a variety of pokemon, but at the same time also revenge kill and outspeed faster pokemon via Bullet Punch.
An ideal Scizor could be:

Scizor@ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EV's: 252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 Defence
-Bullet Punch
-Swords Dance
-Super Power
-Bug Bite / Pursuit / Quick Attack / Areal Ace

Both Bullet Punch and Bug Bite reach 245 power after a single Swords Dance, while Super Power reaches 200, but has stellar type coverage. Pursuit murders Gengar and Rotom-A while Quick Attack can do okay damage to Gyarados. Areal ace stops Heracross and Brelloom, but that's about it. I'd reccomen Bug Bite or Pursuit based on what bugs you, but it's your choice.

@Marble101
Gyarados has taken Hearcross's spot so are you suggesting that Scizor should take Gyarados's spot, if so i do not think that would be wise as Gyarados can sweep much easly than scizor can, and it has intimadate to threaten physical attacks and is a better general choice thanscizor in this team.

I suggest INfernape or Heatran in the last slot (Depends what you want in the team). Heatran to break down pokemon so Gyarados can sweep, or INfernape to take advantage of Salamence and Gyarados breaking down the team, to sweep and clean up the scraps. Its your chioce authough Infernape is a nice way of combating stall, allowing you to run Ice Fang on Gyarados if you wish.

Just one question.. how come you keep writing INfernape, not Infernape? is that on purpose or just a typo?

And I like Nape's speed better than Tran's stats, so do you have any reccomended sets to use in place of Umbreon?

Lol yeah my computer types funny when I type in these Reply boxes and on my windowslive emails, its such a bitch lol (INfernape is a typo but maybe I should make a habit of it lol)

Well the NP set is a good one but since its sometimes hard to set up i suggest

Infernape @ Life Orb
Naive
64 Atk / 252 SpA / 192 Spe
Fire Blast
Close Combat
Grass Knot
HP Ice

its the standard specailly based mixape set. If you want a physically based sweeper then.

Infernape @ Life Orb
Naive
Close Combat
U-turn
Stone Edge/Mach Punch
Overheat

Physically based mixape. Use whatever Infernape set you wish

LOL noooooo, Jirachi is not Uber. You need to read up on this game, man. Try reading the on-site analyses for some of the Pokemon you're planning to use. :0

Chill out Banryu. Just because I didn't know Jirachi wasnt an uber doesn't mean I don't read up on the game. I just never considered a Jirachi on my team, because I always thought since it has a small physical size, its Def/SpD stats would suck, because I never looked into it.

Funny; Shaymin, Jirachi, Uxie, Celebi and Mesprit all have tiny size but base def of at least 100...kinda ironic when you compare it to a big poke like rampardos with paper defenses =P

Lol true...

So, I think the team is done... any last changes before I recreate the team in Shoddy? (and does anyone know of a way to just like copypasta the movesets and stuff into shoddy instead of manually making each pokemon?)
