Despite access to Galvanize-boosted Double-Edge, Caribolt is a poor choice in CAP. Caribolt's STAB combo is easily walled by common Pokemon like Landorus-T, Pyroak, Ferrothorn, and Astrolotl, and it is very vulnerable to common revenge killers like Dragapult and Weavile. Additionally, Caribolt has to rely on Double-Edge to deal meaningful damage, causing its health to quickly deteriorate due to recoil. Body Slam is an alternative that does not have recoil; however, its damage is even more pitiful. Horn Leech should be paired with Double-Edge to provide some modicum of recovery; accordingly, it can be dropped for the more powerful Power Whip on Body Slam variants. Quick Attack lets Caribolt pick off weakened foes, and it notably OHKOes Blacephalon and Tornadus-T at +2. Magnet should be used alongside Double-Edge to limit the amount of recoil Caribolt incurs; however, Body Slam sets can opt for the stronger Life Orb.

Despite access to Galvanize-boosted Double Edge, Caribolt is a poor choice in CAP. Caribolt's STAB combo is easily walled by Landorus-T, Ferrothorn, Astrolotl, and Pyroak, and Equilibra and it is very vulnerable to common revenge killers like Dragapult and Weavile. Adding on to this, Caribolt has to rely on Double-Edge to deal meaningful damage, causing its health to quickly deteriorate due to the move's recoil. Body Slam is an alternative option that does not have recoil; however, its damage is even more pitiful. Horn Leech should be paired with Double-Edge to provide some modicum of compensation for its recoil; accordingly, it can be dropped for the more powerful Power Whip on Body Slam variants. Quick Attack gives Caribolt the ability to pick off weakened opponents, and it notably OHKOes Blacephalon and Tornadus-T at +2. Magnet should be used alongside Double-Edge to limit the amount of recoil Caribolt incurs; however, Body Slam sets can opt for the stronger Life Orb.
