Project USUM UU Lure that Threat - On Hold for UUPL

Infernape @ Firium Z
Jolly Nature
Ability: Blaze / Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
- Swords Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- U-turn / Mach Punch
So Gligar can very easily wall any physical variant of Infernape but not so much vs NP Ape. But this set effectively lures it in once you press a physical move or if Gligar scouts. I think Mach Punch is nice for revenge killing things like Terrakion and Sharpedo but I've had a lot of success with U-turn which can bait a scarf set easier and rack up chip dmg faster. If you use U-turn run Blaze, because if you SD on a Gligar EQ it always puts you in range of Blaze so you can OHKO it. If you aren't put in range or choose to run Iron Fist then Gligar only needs to take 8% chip dmg + SR, which isn't hard to do, for Infernape to be able to OHKO it at +2 with Firium-Z. Firium-Z is still really useful in general for nuking even resisted Pokemon like Tentacruel, Malt etc.

+2 252 Atk Blaze Infernape Inferno Overdrive (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 156+ Def Eviolite Gligar: 400-472 (119.7 - 141.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Calc based on it being at 92% which is the minimum to OHKO after SR:
+2 252 Atk Infernape Inferno Overdrive (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 156+ Def Eviolite Gligar: 267-315 (79.9 - 94.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Nihilego @ Life Orb
Ability: Beast Boost
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Sludge Wave
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt / Thunder

Gligar is able to come in on Nihilego, since it is immune to Thunderbolt (Thunder), it also takes not enough damage from other moves Nihilego can go for, but Hidden Power ICE clearly gets rid of Gligar in this scenario.
Calcs:
252 SpA Life Orb Nihilego Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Gligar: 322-380 (96.4 - 113.7%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Life Orb Nihilego Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Gligar: 322-380 (96.4 - 113.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Rhyperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Atk / 240 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch

This lure has been around since Rhyperior was quite trendy in the tier and it was seen to be a top rocker. Some sets carried Ice Punch so that Rhyperior could take on Gliscor. This same move proves to be just as effective on Gligar. Ice Punch is basically guaranteed to 2HKO and if you removed Gligar’s Eviolite, this outdamages Roost recovery.

Terrakion @ Rockium Z
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
Many teams rely on gligar for dealing with Terrakion and will mindlessly switch it in, only for Terrakion to get a SD up. +2 252 Atk Terrakion Continental Crush (180 BP) vs. 252 HP / 156+ Def Eviolite Gligar: 295-348 (88.3 - 104.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock. ez clap.

Zeraora @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 176 Atk / 140 SpA / 192 Spe
Naive Nature
- Plasma Fists
- Close Combat
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power [Ice]

140 SpA Zeraora Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 100 SpD Eviolite Gligar: 168-200 (50.2 - 59.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Hidden Power [Ice] Zeraora is a nice way to lure Gligar which deals with it 100% of the time if Zeraora doesn't run Hidden Power [Ice]. Shuca Berry is pretty useful because it allows Zeraora to take less than 50% on Gligar's Earthquake which means it can still check some Pokemon like Scizor after that. Shuca Berry is also really nice vs Scarf Krook / Hippowdon.

Mienshao @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly / Naive Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Hidden Power [Ice]

252 Atk Life Orb Mienshao Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 156+ Def Eviolite Gligar: 68-81 (20.3 - 24.2%)
0- SpA Life Orb Mienshao Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 100 SpD Gligar: 239-286 (71.5 - 85.6%)

Knock into jolly HP ice does 91.8% min, which KOs after rocks. Naive is also an option to nearly guarantee the KO (99.6% min) without rocks, as well as do more with HP ice to other targets, and you shouldn't really be taking special hits anyway as this isn't the AV set.

We're not counting the Beedrill one because Bee hard loses to Gligar whether it knocks it's eviolite off or note, losing eviolite means it's a little easier to break for other members of your team is all.

NEXT ROUND BEGINS ON SUNDAY DEC 23RD 11:59 PM GMT -8

My thought process here is that while LO Shao effectively lures in Glig, its honestly a really bad mon otherwise, while also really working for just a couple of mons.
Zeraora has a practical use on teams and it's useful to hit Lati supereffectively since you lack Knock while also hitting Kommoo for good damage, expecially since the Clanger set runs Naive. Shuca has also its uses since you can play a lot more ballsy against Krook and deal an hefty chunk to it for a teammate in the back.
My vote 1000% goes to Moute's Zeraora.
