Welcome! We all know what lures are and what they do: specific Pokemon that run an unexpected move or moveset in order to weaken or directly OHKO a specific threat and pave the way for another sweeper. This allows the other Pokemon on a team to have an easier time carrying out their roles to win a game. Having said that though, a good deal of lures used by battlers aren't really that optimal, so this project forms a competition to see what creative and effective ideas people can come up with.

Process
- Every week, I will post a threat in the UU metagame alongside a set and a brief description of how it works.
- The community will then have around four days to nominate Pokemon (with sets) that they feel are effective lures to that specific threat. Each person may nominate one lure per week.
- Remember to include a short description of the lure and how it works.
- There will then be a three day voting period in which users can vote on the lure that they believe is the best. Each user is allowed one vote.
- Once the voting period has concluded, the lure with the highest number of votes will be added to the archive. A new set will then be posted.
- You must post a set and an explanation of why your chosen Pokemon is a good lure alongside your nomination. Damage calculations are appreciated and will help better illustrate your point but are not required.
- Please focus on only posting viable Pokemon as lures. As a general rule of thumb, only nominating Pokemon found in the UU Viability Rankings is a good idea. Nominations can be rejected on the basis of the Pokemon being unviable.
- You are welcome to reserve a lure, but only if you plan to complete the write-up within 12 hours. Other users may nominate the Pokemon themselves if you fail to meet this time requirement.
- Do not ask anyone for votes, offer votes, exchange votes, or try to manipulate the voting in any way under any circumstances. You should vote for the lure that is the most effective for each round.
- Does this Pokemon have to sacrifice anything important? If you're losing a key part of a set just for an uncommon threat that isn't even lured in, that is what we call a "bad lure;" always consider what you give up in order to lure something, that is very important.
- Does this Pokemon gain anything important when using this moveset? Does this Pokemon or the team benefit from the lure?
- Could this method be better aided through teammates? Does your lure need team support to carry out its role effectively?
- Is this set uncommon enough to be really considered a lure? Would your opponent, under normal battle conditions, expect to be able to safely switch the Pokemon into your lure?

Not really a common set but that set can be a really good lure to Scizor especially Choice Band. He can Outspeed Adamant Band Scizor 252speed with his 220evs on speed,You can also run 56evs on Speed to Outspeed the set presented above.
After fixing the problem to be faster, you have Natural Gift fire with 96 + Atk and Occa Berry which allows the OHKO widely.

- Ice Beam

- Scald
- Slack Off
Usually, a common switch in for Slowbro on offensive team would be Latias. This set capitalizes on it by setting up Calm Mind on the switch and catching it with a Z-Move. Even CM Latias falls to you. This also isn't completely useless outside of Latias, as it also hits Celebi, Hydreigon, Serperior, Mega Altaria, Gliscor (harder than Scald) and more. Reducing damage from Knock Off and being immune to Trick is very nice as well. The only downside is that when the opponent sees no Leftovers and a mega slot already taken, they might assume it's Icium Z. However, this is a very minor issue imo (bluffing mega can work) and still works good.

This set was more common during Azumarill meta, but is still good. The goal is to lure Fairies with Z-Belch for other things to clean later. A good thing about this set is that nobody expects it or scouts for it because it's declined and has seen little usage after Azumarill left. It also hits other Fairies, so it's not completely useless outside of Altaria and isn't prediction-reliant. It does about 80% to max HP Altaria and even has a chance to OHKO offensive after rocks + Dark Pulse. The last move is customizeable, but I think U-Turn is the most effective at doing its job because you can bluff Scarf.

Z-Dream Eater Rotom-Mow is the revival of the great Z-Dream Eater Rotom-Wash that I advocated for so long ago. After pretty much any chip damage, including Rotom-Mow's own Thunderbolt or Hidden Power Fire. Defog sets have slightly higher difficulty in chipping down Amoonguss to the proper level, but it can do so with team support nonetheless, and Defog is still important sometimes for the role compression. Heavily weakening or KOing Amoonguss then paves the way for ZDE Mowtom's best partner, Mega Altaria!

So, moltres is typically a very safe switch in to cobalion, and as it can be run as a stealth ocker it would want to switch into rocks to be able to defog, or get a safe hit off since typically the stabs of Coba won't hurt it much. That's where stone edge comes in. Stone edge is 4x effective and can easily kill moltres if not scouted for.

So here we have Liechi Natural Gift Scizor. Quagsire has been infamous as an SD Scizor hard-stop on stall teams, slowing it to a crawl and ensuring it will never break the team with Quagsire's omnipresence. Or can it? With Natural Gift, Turning Liechi berry into a 100 BP grass move, Scizor can give Quagsire a nasty surprise on it's switch, either crippling it to the point that a light breeze could finish the job, or even outright KOing it.

The spread even has a lot of customization options. A wise man told me "A good UU player never reveals their Scizor spreads." And honestly you can go where you want with the investments on this set as long as you retain the Quag killing max attack adamant. I personally went with outspeeding min-speed Seismitoad on this spread since this is essentially a grass move Scizor but it really doesn't matter at all, and you're free go go faster OR bulkier.
SD lets Scizor bait in Quag even harder by threatening to break otherwise with the SD, and lets Sciz still do it's usual SD + BP thing against other matchups.

The main goal is to Nasty Plot on Aggron-Mega's Switch-in and then to obliterate it with All-Out Pummeling.. plain as day !
EV spread allows Togekiss to ensure the OHKO on Aggron-Mega with +2 All-Out Pummeling while having some extra Bulk.
+2 32 SpA Togekiss All-Out Pummeling (160 BP) vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Filter Aggron-Mega: 343-405 (100 - 118%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Rotom-Heat @ Fairium Z
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 236 HP / 20 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Disarming Voice
- Overheat
- Volt Switch
- Defog
when kommo tries to take an overheat or volt switch, it will certainly not expect this move. Also rotom will always outspeed an unboosted kommo. Which is why this is a dope little lure. Twinkle tackle(100bp) will always ohko kommo. It is also a pretty good lure for hydreigon. For some reason the calc isnt working for z disarming voice so I made its 40 bp to 100bp since that is the power for z disarming voice.
20 SpA Rotom-Heat Disarming Voice vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Kommo-o: 292-348 (100.3 - 119.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
20 SpA Rotom-Heat Disarming Voice vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Hydreigon: 336-396 (103.3 - 121.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Tornadus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Hurricane
- Superpower
- Heat Wave
- Icy Wind
So Maero doesn't fear much from Tornadus other than superpower which does around 54% which it can roost off or OHKO / force out thanks to it outspeeding + the Atk drop. However with Icy wind not only do you 2OHKO Maero but you also outspeed it thanks to the drop. The set still looks to provide speed control in some way which can be nice for whatever it is partnered with. Defiant was opted to potentially take advantage of the Attack Boost from Defog and punish things like Blissey.
252 SpA Life Orb Tornadus Icy Wind vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Aerodactyl-Mega: 161-190 (53.4 - 63.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
