UU Simple Questions Thread

what physical attacker on offense beats sd luke
Mega Aerodactyl with Earthquake beats non Bullet Punch variants, Cobalion can't switch in but can revenge with no problem, Doublade is more bulky offense-ish i guess but Doublade, Intimidate Krookodile can tank and Extreme Speed and EQ but can't switch in

My current (still incomplete) team is Forry/Spdef Moltres/Scarf Kyurem/Seismitoad/Mega Scep/LO Hydreigon.
I added LO Hydra to stop CM Reuniclus, but my team became incredibly weak to
-Ice Shard users
-Curselax

Any tips?

Replacing Seismitoad with RoarCune (and presumably putting Stealth Rock on Forry) should help deal with the issues you're concerned about while retaining the general role I assume you're using Seismitoad for (physically defensive water type).

Still no. D Rank is exclusively for Pokemon that are in UU but are not viable in the current metagame. Scrafty hasn't gained any viability, so we still would not rank it. If a new set suddenly appeared, then it would be placed in C or C-, depending on the strength of the set.

What exactly is Mismagius' niche in UU that would give it a C ranking?
Well, comparing it to Lord Chandy we have that:
1) Faster, faster even then the likes of Hydreigon.
2) Taunt
3) Can actually use WoW without missing anything
Great check to Attackers as well if running a more defensive set. While not fully, it is heavily outclassed by Chandelure as a special attacker and by Doublade as spinblocker and set up sweeper.

Mismagius should also run dazzling gleam on pretty much every set, allowing it to bypass most of the things that can give chandelure trouble, namely hydreigon

Well, Shaymin is arguably UU's best scald/status absorber maybe besides roserade with its typing and ability, so something that appreciates Cune gone is always a good pair. Offensively grass type is shit, but Shaymin's coverage allows it to take out some threats like Hydra, Entei after sr, Chandey, and a few others. Wallbreakers and set up sweepers really appreciate this as these moms threaten most set up sweepers with their insane power. You can look at the UU analysis for more options. Shaymin should be run most of the time as a later game cleaner on offense or a wall breaker on balance/bulky offense. It can also use a defensive set with leech seed to be a giant bitch. This is especially good on team archetypes that really appreciate Cune gone (stall, balance) or have very few ways to get rid of it. Now I'm not saying this is a good set, but running max hp and 48 defender allows it to hard check gatr as it can live a +1 ice punch one hundred percent if that's what you need Shaymin for. Shaymin's a real versatile mon, contrary to what most would believe. It's typing may be shit but it has access to insanely powerful seed flare to beat blissey 1v1 with some luck. Hope this helps. On mobile so sorry for incoherence/autocorrect mistakes

Well, to be honest I won't be using Shaymin as a sweeper, it lacks immediate power, but it is incredibly hard to switch into because of the Seed Flare drops and cool coverage moves such as Earth Power for Fire and Steel types, Psychic to hit Crobat on the switch, Dazzling Gleam to kill Hydras, which otherwise is a completely safe switch, etc. Now, the wallbreaking power Shaymin offers can be easily exploitable by most setup sweepers, specially the ones that appreciate Water types gone such as Feraligatr or Mega Sharpedo; nevertheless, Dragon types like Scarf or DD Mence also are greatly aided by Shaymin, since most steel types that are usually able to switch into grass moves like Rose's Leaf Storms or Whims' Giga Drain can't really switch into Shaymin :]

How about that:

Azelf @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Mild Nature
- U-turn
- Psyshock
- Fire Blast
- Dazzling Gleam

I chose this as Scarfer in my Balanced Team because of its High Speed. What do you guys think ?

A level 100 one would be a lot better. :)

It's a viable set. It also has a lot of suprise value against offensive teams. I think Trick might also be useful in that set to cripple defensive and set-up opponents but that set is just as great as well.

Thank you for your Reply :). I chose a Mild Nature because I wanted to hit as hard as possible while my Speed is raised with a Choice Scarf with 1.5x.

First off, level 100. Secondly, while azelf is normally used as a lead, anti-lead, LO destroyer or NP abuser, I feel like scarf could be slightly viable under the right circumstances. With its blistering speed stat it doesn't really need a scarf except to outspend crobat, mega bee, aero, and sceptile. Basically what I'm saying is thunderbolt/ice punch+ fire blast should be necessary to actually make use of azelf's scarf to kill it's offensive revenge killers. Dazzling gleam can destroy hydrae who think they can revenge you with their fancy choice scarf if you're locked into DG, though I guess this is pretty niche as if you don't take LO recoil they'll think you're focus sash or specs or band, not scarf, so whatever. U turn is nice for momentum, and psyshock is great for B. So I would say a special set of

Psyshock
Dazzling Gleam
Fire Blast
Thunderbolt
This is to be used as a revenge killer/late game cleaner.
Or a mixed pivot set of

U turn
Dazzling Gleam
Knock off
Psychic

Which is more along the lines of what you said, though the more I'm looking at it the less useful scarf seems. I would just run LO and scarf aggron. Gg no re

Which Set I should run on each of the Sets you listed there ?

EDIT: Which Pokemon on Offense and Hyper Offense Teams are good Checks too Galvantula in UU ?
